We started with some drinks and I got some oj. As we waited to order, I am seeing the pioneer style ambiance which is nice to see because it refers back to the old 1800s. The waiter took our order and I chose the chocolate chip pancakes. The service was on par for a busy Sunday with many people so that was pretty good. I ate the pancakes and they were so big! I could not finish them. This is a really nice place to eat and I recommend this to everyone reading this. 5 stars.

Breakfast or Lunch, you can't go wrong. The home town atmosphere with great home made food is never a disappointment. My wife had the chicken and biscuits. Lots of chicken, tasty biscuits and gravy with a moist stuffing under those potatoes! Loved it. My breakfast, fluffy eggs, nice portion of home fries and corned beef with beautiful toasted rye. Leslie and the staff are always accommodating and friendly.Fast service, generous portions and reasonable prices you will understand why it gets busy (especially during the summer). It's the place the locals go, stop by and see why!

This is a must stop if you like cinnamon buns or pancakes. We stumbled upon this road side breakfast and lunch stop a few years back. We have tried a few menu items, yet return for the cinnamon roll pancakes. They are served with a side cinnamon butter icing that just melts on top. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. We had a side of eggs with our pancakes and there were served up perfectly. The restrooms were clean and there are outside tables to enjoy the weather and views of the road and a some hills. This is a great find... and we will be back! The staff is very polite and on top of things to ensure that we enjoyed our meals. Some days they are very busy, worth the wait if there is one. Just remember to bring cash. They don't take credit.

Great aunt's kitchen feel. I seriously felt like I was visiting older kin because of the house look, gravel driveway, country inside, decorations, talkative sweet staff, pics of people on the walls, and home made food. This isn't fancy at all which is fine by me, it was great. My friend got .25lb back cheese dog with fried mushrooms and ranch from the kids menu. He loved it but wasn't into the mushrooms being overcooked a bit, I tried one it was crunchier but not terrible to me. Thick yummy creamy ranch. I got the kids pizza logs with extra red sauce and homemade potato salad with homemade sweet tea. ..AMAZING!!!! I'm so picky and dear God was it all good. You get 4 pizza logs and a big scoop of amazing salad that's not bad for a kids meal. Only complaints were the prices being a little high and the mushrooms being not awesome like everything else. Will be back! Amazing staff !! Homemade!!!

This waffle would have been good if the bottom wasn't covered in soot. Burnt to a crisp. Absolutely horrid.

While I don't appreciate the restaurant's conservative politics, they do a great and varied breakfast.

There is a public dock available just a couple hundred yards away from Tulip's. When we got there at about 11:30 on a Sunday the wait for a table was about 25 to 30 minutes. Plenty of room on the lawn out front to wait and even some outdoor games to play. We were called and seated at about 25 minutes; we had requested a table on the patio so my niece's dog could come along. Tulip's is located in a large Victorian house with a wrap around patio all overlooking the lake, the perfect place to relax and enjoy a summer brunch. Our server was great, friendly and helpful; orders are taken on a tablet and sent wirelessly to the kitchen. The menu has one side of breakfast items and the second side of lunch items. The food is slightly upscale without being overly fussy. There are some vegetarian items and others that can be made vegetarian by just leaving off the meat items. I ended up ordering the classic french toast, others at the table ordered sandwiches, corned beef hash, and omelets. Despite the restaurant being busy the food came out in about 10-15 minutes, all of the food being delivered by several servers; our server did check in to make sure that everything was delivered and that we were enjoying out food. Everyone enjoyed their food, portions were good, the food was well presented. My french toast was very good, carmalized on the outside custardy on the inside, slightly sweet and savory. It was presented with whipped butter and syrup. A nicely done classic and a great brunch. I would highly recommend Tulip's, a great place for breakfast and lunch. It seems like Chautauqua and Mayville have already figured it out and they are busy and doing well.

My wife and her friend had been the day before and wanted to take me back. My wife had the French toast, which she had had the day before, her friend had eggs, toast, and bacon, and I had the brunch madame. Let me warn you, if you order this, you will be a bit surprised when it arrives at your table. It is massive. But beyond being massive, it was perfectly toasty and cheesy on top with layers of ham and Bechemel inside, and it sat in a pool of glistening hollandaise sauce. Our server, Misty, laughed when I told her that it should come with a disclaimer, but it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten for breakfast. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes and a perfectly soft poached egg nestled on top. To top it all off, the coffee was divine. Misty told us it was from Erie Street coffee and they sell it at the restaurant. Note that if you're going to go here, they close at 2:30. But it's definitely worth the trip and we will definitely be back.

We were at an event in the area so we chose to try Music For Your Mouth, it was a huge mistake. We were 1 of the 3 first tables there sat outside. We sat forever waiting for service. One of the other tables got up and left saying loudly that they were sick of waiting. Other people started to show up then they got greated and served before us and the other original table! The first table finally said out loud in front of everyone "Are we ever going to get waited on?!?" The waitress/manager lady said "yeah, we'll get to you" How Rude! They had been waiting longer than anyone! They finally got a menu then 10 minutes later we were acknowledged! We were the 2nd table! Other people had menus and drinks before the first table and us the 2nd. People were getting refills and food before the 1st table got anything. The lady got upset and got up yelled at the server and left. We don't blame her! When we FINALLY got served we'd been there forever and people that had come 30 minuts after us were already done, paying, and leaving. Food was so underwhelming and plain we couldn't believe it. We don't recommend at all! We never got an apology or explanation for the wait. No one cared.
