My wife & son have had breakfast here and said it was good, so we decided to try lunch. The diner has a whimsical decor with an inviting feel. Located right down from UPMC Chautauqua, this restaurant offers friendly service with a warm atmosphere. The two gentlemen cooking and waiting tables were very nice. Lunch was okay. My wife enjoyed the macaroni salad and her burger but, the beef pattie and My salmon pattie was noticeably frozen not fresh. Unfortunately my bowl of bacon corn chowder was forgotten so I wasn't able to try it. Im giving a 3 because I am under the impression that breakfast is pretty good. read more

Had a nice lunch here during the afternoon. Had a fresh coffee, some water and their Rodeo burger which comes with fried onion rings, Dino BBQ sauce, mayo, lettuce, tomato and a patty. It was delicious and the bun was toasted, while the onion rings were fried on the spot. The burger was soooo juicy and delightful and crispy...all in one. The only prob is it wasn't cooked to order (I asked medium rare), but it was soooo juicy regardless it didn't even matter. It was probably hard to cook that meat to order as it was a bit thin, but no complaints from me. Service was personable and kind and the guy was chit chatting with me while making the burger, so that's why it was prob not medium rare. Delicious charbroiled flavor regardless, tho! read more

Wonderful in every way! And a pleasant surprise!! We came during Covid in September's last week and discovered this bright and contemporary gem. The owner Mark is brilliant with a breakfast and lunch menu, but during the early part of Covid, dropped his usual recipes and adopted a local favorite Yo Burrito, for curbside pickups and outdoor dining. We came too late for breakfast but happily ordered from the Yo menu, eating inside. Outstanding! Fresh! Delicious every bite! And the interior was bright, clean, and little surprises for your eyes. Wow what a gem this place is! My husband and I braved a Buffalo ice storm to drive an hour and a 1/2 to Jamestown for a quick overnighter to the comedy museum and stay at the Harbor Hotel. As he drove I checked yelp for a place to eat lunch. We glad that we chose the Allen Street Diner. It's a quaint little dinner with a homey appeal. Both families and professionals were eating there and an 80s version of the price is right was playing on the tv. We shared a speedie wrap. It was ample for 2, made in just the right amount of time and was followed up with a dish of friendliness. One of the owners came over, made sure we were happy with the food and had a nice conversation with us. Took a look at Yelp for lunch today and Allen Street Diner came up with a great rating. It was a little hard to find from the Yelp direction page, but it's across the street from WCA hospital in Jamestown. Happy to report : delicious! The burgers are plentiful in variety as are the many sandwich offerings. Hubby and I each had the " special" haddock sandwich which was large and tasty, along with cut French fries (not frozen) and macaroni salad We plan on trying other offerings in the future including their pizza and Reubens.
