    Cocktails and CORN

Once again, AMAZING! I can't believe this place doesn't have 4.5 stars or better. Drinks are amazing, the homemade corn chips and guac are amazing, everything we had was fantastic! We love Gordito!

This was my second time at Gordito and again it was really nice. The guac is a good amount, free chips and salsa, and the mimosa was definitely not watered down I had avocado toast with fhe potatoes subbed out with corn, definitely recommend. The lady serving us was very kind and funny.

This is the first week of service and the place was very busy during dinner time. A new place offering options of tapa style and the latin fusion is Mexican/Spanish. The bar and seating area are both great options. The cocktail menu did not caught my attention and they also offer a variety of wines (glass/bottle) from Portugal/Spain. I really enjoyed the guacamole and chips, definitely would it love if it wasn't that small and I understand the menu is based in the concept of "tapas". The tortilla española was good, the camarón tacos were my favorite of the whole order. I was disappointed with the tequila tiramisu as I couldn't taste the tequila flavor in this dessert. I would definitely return to check if after a few weeks they adjust more options in response of customers' suggestions. Overall, a very nice place to indulge yourself with friends, family, significant-other (it's pricey but it's expected for the location). A very friendly staff and well-known chef from the restaurant next door (Rafele Rye).

It's awful - it's overpriced and the food is sub par. Rye restaurants are terrible. ASIDE from Oko. Drive fast to Greenwich.

We barely squeezed inside due to several people waiting at the entrance for a table. Lucky for us, my husband made reservations, or so he thought! Our reservation could not be found. Why? Because my husband made it for the night before, not tonight!! I thought we would have to wait hours and I was so hungry. Lucky for us, the hostess got us a table within 5 minutes due to our small party size. She was great to accommodate us like that. We were seated in the area that looks like it's outdoor seating during the warmer months. The sound does not carry well in that area. Although we were seated across from each other, it was difficult to have a conversation. The service was attentive and timely but the staff were definitely busy! The food was good. I liked the Greek salad but it had too much tang to the dressing. It was overpowering. The fish tacos were good. The kebabs were a little tough but tasty. The dipping sauce helped. We had some drinks too. They had some unique cocktails that my husband enjoyed. It's a great place to go for vibes. Very loud. Food is good. Not sure if I would go again. It would be hard for a larger party. Not my kind of experience at this age! LOL. 3.5 stars

Love the food! Love the service!…read more Ron our waiter was so friendly and accommodating!! The restaurant looks like a beautiful house with an outdoor porch where you have the option to dine on if you'd like. The inside you have a beautiful bar area to the left and a dining area to the right with a fire place giving a comfy upscale feel. The prices are a little on the pricier side so something to note. I recommend the shrimp tacos and Parmesan fries! You have the option to host events there too as I was witness to a couple during my time there. The only con is the parking situation. I've only ever been during the day for lunch and there are never any parking spots. I always spend a good 10-15 minutes circling around for one to open up. They do have a small dedicated lot nearby, but very limited spots and tight area. Plan accordingly.

Service was not exactly adequate…read more Lighting was dim as well. Seats were hard as heck wood and mighty uncomfortable The food was--overall, mehhh First the potato skins were minuscule, Lilliputian and almost not even big enough to be considered bite sized The Caesar salad was...hmmmm, Ho-hum with fresh and crisp greens, ample if not generous Parmesan and tasty albeit stingy portion chicken. I tried the steak tacos and this was a fumble. Bland steak, miserly portions and soggy soft shell. The raviolis were a tad undercooked but really tasty. The sauce had a hair too much red wine but the taste as still very good and the portion rather admirable. I'd order it again. The Apple blossom desert was amazing. Dough was slightly and pleasantly sweet and the apple was caramelized and tender. So.... Food was a solid 3-4 The service a gentleman's C in or 3 The comfort and ambiance a 2

I'll start with the positives: the staff was friendly and professional, the crowd was great, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. Those were easily the best parts of the evening. However, the food was extremely disappointing. It lacked flavor, seasoning, and creativity. The drink selection was also underwhelming. They had already run out of certain beers, and the cookie dessert that was advertised was never available. One thing that was misleading is that the event wasn't actually held at the Barley Beach House restaurant. It took place on the beach, away from the restaurant itself. Although it was advertised as a 21+ event, attendees weren't even allowed to walk into the water to wet their feet. I understand safety concerns and the lack of lifeguards, but for an adults-only event, I expected a little more flexibility. The beach restroom conditions were also unacceptable. They were dirty and had no toilet paper, which should never happen at an event charging premium ticket prices. To make matters worse, a severe thunderstorm rolled in, and the fireworks were completely canceled. While I understand that weather is beyond anyone's control, there was nothing else about the event that justified the cost. Overall, while I appreciated the friendly staff and fun crowd, the food, drinks, amenities, and overall value fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this event, and I would not return.

We started off with some drinks, and their jerk spring rolls and codfish fritters. Everything was really good. Hubby had their lomo saltado. He said it was OK but the rice was dry and it wasn't served as it should be, with the sauté on top of the French fries. I had the ribeye with mac & cheese and cabbage slaw. The steak temp was perfect, as was the mac. The slaw was bland - I wish I ordered a different side. My kiddo had their chicken fingers w/French fries, and liked it. After our meal, we walked around Hudson Park nearby and enjoyed a very chill day. I would definitely come back.
