As a bartender I use Village Taxi on a weekly basis for the patrons of our establishment. Village Taxi's dispatcher is always polite and never asks me what the destination is. I know that sounds trivial but there is nothing more annoying than being asked questions that seem kind of irrelevant in a loud busy bar. When a dispatcher asks me where the destination is it tells me that they are not prioritizing my call as the first come first serve that is fair. The drivers are always nice and have been very accommodating in situations where other cab companies are not. I can't speak to the rates from first hand experience but my customers say they are typical. read more

I had reservations with this company for my birthday party and something came up where I had to cancel last minute, and the man on the phone screamed at me and then told me to do him a favor never call him again and he said, " F**K you!" Wow now thats real classy! They should be reported to the better business beaural! No one deserves to be spoken to like that I would not recommend this company!!! read more

Well I can't talk about the ride because the driver went to the wrong hotel. When the dispatcher figured it out she told me to call another cab company. This is the worst cab service I've ever tried to use. I was hung up on three times trying to call for a cab last night. Supposedly, per the guy on the phone, they sat outside waiting for us for 20 minutes. No one called or knocked on the door. When we called to ask where they were they said they left because we never came out. I asked them why they didn't call us on the phone number we gave them and they hung up on us again. We never ended up getting a ride from them. I won't bother EVER calling them again. Thanks for nothing. read more

Very friendly and welcoming driver! The real kicker though was when I paid by credit card using their digital app, I accidentally entered the wrong email address for a copy of my receipt. The driver took down my correct contact info and made arrangements as soon as he got back to the office to have my receipt resent to the correct address instead. I cannot comment on the service as I have never used them. However, I did witness the driver today driving all the way down Soquel Drive doing something on his phone. I first saw him around 41st Avenue and lost track of him just before State Park, but every time I saw him, he was on his phone. He was not keeping up with the flow of traffic and never used his turn signal when changing lanes. Based on this, I would never use their service. I could not tell if he had anyone with him or not. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I called them to ask how long it would take to get a cab and they told me 30 minutes. I told them, no thank you, I will try someone else. Not that 30 minutes was bad but I wanted to check my options. Then the owner calls back and tells my wife he is sending a cab over after I already committed to Deluxe. I called back and told him to please not send the cab as I never ordered it and had already committed to someone else. The guy tells me to NEVER CALL HIS COMPANY AGAIN. I couldn't believe it and I proceeded to tell him NO PROBLEM (and a few other choice words). So, they send a cab anyway. I told the nice lady driving the van that we had already committed to someone else and that the owner already knew. Really?!?!?! The person that runs this place is an idiot and I couldn't believe I was actually getting attitude from this person about a cab. I will never do business with them just because of this person and his horrible lack of customer service skills. Save yourself time and money and just call Deluxe cab as they will earn your business - DO NOT WASTE TOUR TIME with Village Taxi ever. Trust me - life is too short. When I initially called them they were great. They did a fast pick up and were inexpensive. The next time I called them they said they would be there in a few minutes and then never called. When I called them back the man said they were very busy. I told him how I called earlier, and asked if he thought it was ok to lie to people about getting picked up, he then hung up on me. Parked in a 1PM to 8PM space for the Wednesday night Capitola concert. Got back to car after the encore at 8:15 to find a ticket done at 8:09. No doubt that the Aptos Village Taxi notified the ticketing person. There were three taxi spots so it was not like we were causing any harm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and my friend parked there because she is disabled and has a hard time walking. Disablility card was very visible. read more
