They saw us in a pinch and made me feel super comfortable as a new cat mom. Glad I found a vet that I can trust with my fur baby!

Caspers adorable self

Dr Silverman is a awesome veterinarian. My cat Casper was a rescue and he had partially paralysis in his hind legs and was found outside by animal control. He had done alot of damage to his private area from dragging his hind end thru the rock, dirt, garbage, and whatever else was outside. When I got casper his private parts were not recognizable and he couldn't walk or use his back legs at all. I had taken him to several vets and specialists he even had stem cell therapy and nothing helped. Dr Silverman has completely healed his private area. He is able to pee a little on his own now and with the laser therapy has began to have feeling in his back legs and even take a few steps. Anytime ive had a emergency with Casper they have taken him right in. I will never use another vet and all my rescue cats will be seeing him.

BEWARE!!! I took my 8 year old boxer to this vet because I suspected she'd poked herself in the eye which cause a little red bump and winking. I told the vet this, he then began to tell me it could be a number of things fro a tumor behind the brain putting pressure on the eye to the possibility of my baby girl having to have her eye removed all together and if he were me he'd have a pressure test in addition to another test to rule these things out so she wouldn't loose her eye... (SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RED FLAG) He was using scare tactics on me to get me to agree to the tests for her, of course I did because I love my dog. He took my dog back to preform the test (ANOTHER RED FLAG) he did none of the testing in front of me so I have no idea what he really did to her. He brings her back saying everything is fine with her eye and I was right it was more than likely the poke in the eye which he'd assume is healing form the inside out and these things some times looks worse before looking better he'd give me some eye drops for her, then sold me some canned dog food preaching they were the cheapest to buy from over pet stores or chewy... (AGAIN ANOTHER RED FLAG TRYING TO PAD THE BILL) We left AFTER PAYING $200 FOR THE FOOD VISIT TESTS AND DROPS, thinking we'd be fine with the drops, only to get home and discover they were only eye lubricant... just water for her eye... ANOTHER RED FLAG WAS the vet checking in days after multiple times, I assume because he knew the dogs eye was not fine and was trying to bait us back in. BECAUSE HER EYE WAS NOT FINE! We followed up with her primary care vet who looked at Xena and deduced with quickness she had an eye ulcer, which is caused by blunt trauma to the eye... like when she got poked in the eye..... Her primary vet then prescribed a medicated drop to repair the eye..... BEWARE OF THIS VET, THEY ARE A SCAM, THEY WILL PREY ON YOUR CONCERN FOR YOUR DOG, EXPLOIT THIS AND YOU FOR CASH AND NOT HELP THE DOG. I called them back after consulting with my vet, asking could they refund or exchange the drops they'd given me as I felt taken advantage of. I was told NO and treated poorly over the phone. I want nothing to do with this place and feel like they swindled me for cash, without any concern for my dog. You'd think after 2 hours in their office and $200 spent this would not be the review I am writing, do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! I plan to charge back with my credit card company, and report them as this place is a FULL SCAM!

I'm a new pet owner without any experience taking care of a new Puppy. Village West took such good care of our family on Puppy's initial visit. Soon after our first vet visit, our puppy became very ill; he did not eat/drink or move. The clinic took our puppy in for an emergency visit ASAP. They provided the best care. I'm a registered nurse and Dr. Silverman let me take Mozzy (puppy) home with an IV so I could manage his care without running up our vet bill. The staff checked in with me with daily phone updates and medication refills. I put all my trust in the staff at Village West, we couldn't be more grateful for the

Before getting a dog last year, I had heard numerous horror stories about vets who focused on keeping your dog medicated and lots of unnecessary testing, procedures, etc. Bottom line one pet parent told me was "Do your homework." After adopting our pup in the burbs and having his initial evaluation, neutering, and shots done there, we decided we wanted something closer to home. Thanks to a Facebook page for our community and lots of recommendations, we decided on Village West Vet. We have been there twice for wellness visits and once for a scare and each visit was handled meticulously. Dr. Silverman and Dr. Arrigo are fantastic. They are both very kind, compassionate, and take the time to explain everything, and answer all your questions/concerns. The techs are also top notch as they are the frontline. This is an amazing clinic in every sense of the word.

Fast appointments and professional. It's hard to find a vet and I'm glad we got in here, not looking to move vets.

I really like this vet, and have been going to it for about a year now. I had brought my new kitten…read moreat the beginning of the year for vaccines and whatnot. He is an extremely shy cat who curls up into himself out of fear. The vet and vet techs are always super gentle with him because of how fearful he is. I had him neutered at this location without issue, and the price was reasonable. I have also taken him in for anal gland expression and it was a quick tech visit, so only $32. They were able to get me in on a weekend. One thing I like in particular is that they have their own parking lot. It is small but most places around that location you have to find street parking. This clinic is also responsive via email, and has helped me order flea meds through Chewy. I will continue to bring my cat here and also consider having his teeth cleaned next year, because their prices are fair and their staff is friendly.

I understand that prices have gone up everywhere over the past few years, but the increases here feel significant. I recently found a 2021 receipt showing the exam fee was $65 and it's now $88. Nail trims are now an additional $19, which used to be included at some point, and my recent visit for an exam and routine vaccines totaled $300. Unfortunately, it's just no longer affordable for us, so we'll be looking elsewhere.

I already consulted our general vet and they mentioned it was due to the medication he was on that was making him this way. I just felt like something wasn't right and wanted to see another doctor just in case. I searched around online for the closest one to see if they would schedule us in on the same day but alot of places were not taking in any new patients. I called right when they opened and I believe I spoke with Dr. Beauchamp and explained what was going on with my boy. I was very grateful that she was able to squeeze me in on the same day. Dr. Beauchamp and their team provided such respect and care to my boy. They took a look at him and told me that he did not look well and was needed to be admitted to the hospital right away. Everything was explained to me very thoroughly and answered all the questions I had. Unfortunately, there was alot of complications going on with him that day and he didn't make it. I am extremely thankful that Dr. Beauchamp followed up with me via phone call to see how he was and did not charge me for our first visit. If we were ever to get another pet, I will be 100% taking them here.

DO NOT GO. We have been going to good vets for 2 years. After Dr.Beauchamp left we really only…read morecontinued to go because of convenience and it's a huge regret. My dog was neutered 1 week ago. Since then he has had complication after complication. 1st a bad reaction to a prescribed medication causing him to diarrhea blood for days- when we went in to address his diarrhea and dehydration there was an attempt to sell me on a fecal test for Giardia when this was CLEARLY a reaction to the medication. Then the Dr "FORGOT" to give him fluids for dehydration and sold me 3 cans of food to take home to help him. Luckily, I looked into the ingredients of the food further and realized that it contained chicken which he is allergic to. No comment at this appointment on the state of his incision. 2- Luckily because I am a nurse myself I continuously assessed his incision site and noticed that there was a severe hematoma starting to look black. I immediately called the vet to let them know that the tissue was beginning to look necrotic and he was an increased pain. They requested a photo- I sent the photo for an opinion and they NEVER RESPONDED.. 3-We went to the emergency vet they said that the incision looked extremely abnormal and that we should follow up with our vet bc he will likely need a second surgery. 4- We go back to the vet because I followed up 2 DAYS after the picture was sent and Dr asks if I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A QUOTE FOR A LASER to try to bring back life to the dying tissue. Due to my pushback, they did the laser for free. I still walked out paying $85 for more pain medication because it is now required since he's having ongoing pain due to this complication. The doctor then stated that if the tissue does not get better, he will definitely need another surgery which I am sure they are thrilled to charge me for. Not only is this place an extreme money grab, half of the staff is rude and the bedside manner is CRAZY. I brought my dog in because he was clearly in pain and one of the vet techs was grabbing his cheeks, smooshing his face around aggressively saying how cute he is when he's VISIBLY uncomfortable. I'M SO THANKFUL THAT WE DECIDED TO GO WITH A RECOMMENDATION FOR HIS NOSE AND PALATE SURGERY BECAUSE I'M CONFIDENT THAT IF WE HAD SEEN A RANDOM SURGEON AT THIS LOCATION , WE WOULD'VE HAD WAY WORSE COMPLICATIONS OR ACCORDING TO OTHER REVIEWS MAY HAVE LOST OUR DOG. Save your money and go somewhere that isn't private equity and actually cares about their patients not just $$$$$!

I emailed them multiple times asking for an updated statement, and they just kept sending the same incorrect one back. When I called to explain the issue, they argued with me on the phone instead of helping. For a place that claims to be a "luxury" clinic, the customer service and professionalism were terrible. Extremely frustrating experience and definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

This practice USED to provide excellent care, but the decline in service has been both…read moredisappointing and concerning. I recently requested a refill for my cat's prescription diet, which is medically necessary due to a severe intolerance to regular food that causes bloody diarrhea. I was initially told the refill could not be authorized because my cat had not been seen in over a year. That statement was incorrect. My cat was seen in July 2025, and the staff eventually acknowledged that fact. After that, I was told that because my cat's regular veterinarian had moved to a different location, a new veterinarian would need to see him before the prescription could be renewed. Frankly, that explanation makes little sense. The entire purpose of a veterinary practice is continuity of care. My cat's diagnosis, history, and response to treatment are thoroughly documented in his medical record by one of your own veterinarians. If a documented medical condition and treatment plan established by your own provider cannot be relied upon by another veterinarian within the same practice, what does that say about the confidence you have in your own medical records and clinicians? Are clients expected to start over every time a veterinarian changes locations? Should established diagnoses suddenly become questionable because the original veterinarian is no longer in the building? That rationale undermines the very concept of a group practice. What is most troubling is that despite being informed that interruption of this diet could result in my cat developing bloody diarrhea, there was no apparent urgency, compassion, or effort to help. The response I received felt focused on generating another office visit rather than ensuring continuity of care for a patient with a known medical condition. The front desk staff appeared completely unbothered by the situation, despite understanding the potential consequences for my cat. Meanwhile, I continue to receive marketing emails and promotions for care plans, which seem to receive more attention than the needs of actual patients. After more than four years as a loyal client, I am deeply disappointed. This experience has completely eroded my trust in this practice. I will be transferring all of my pets' care to West Loop Veterinary Care. Shame on you for treating a loyal client--and more importantly, a sick animal--this way.
