Small private practice with friendly, skilled staff. Easy scheduling and follow up. Staff provided safe, confident care for anxious pup.

Amazing customer service and Dr. Gallagher was great for my emergency appointment. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Gallagher and Adrienne paid our cats a house visit after we were unable to "herd" them into their carriers.

Newtown Square Veterinary Hospital - My dog in one of the exam rooms

The most caring vet on the mainline! Great staff, great care, great facility!…read more They know every name of the pet they care for. The staff will follow up and call to check in after appointments. My dog has severe anxiety and when Fourth of July fireworks were kicking up, they called to check in if we needed anything to help our dog cope. I will take all of my pets here. Love them!

I brought my cat in to establish care and flagged some serious concerns: he was losing weight…read morequickly, not eating much, and urinating outside his litter box. He had known kidney issues. They ran labs to check his levels, and during that same first visit they also gave him his rabies vaccine, despite me explaining that his previous vet had held off on it because of his kidney issues and pillow foot. Within 36 hours his health rapidly declined. He hid under the bed and cried, and I had to make the decision to let him go that Friday. Since this was their first time treating him and labs were still pending, I wish they had waited on the vaccine. I feel like the little time I had left with him was taken away. When I asked the doctor directly if the vaccine contributed to his decline, she chose to say it was simply his underlying health. That answer still bothers me, because up until the vaccine he was still very active, even though he wasn't eating as much. Grieving him has been incredibly hard, and it took months to start feeling any better. Then I received a condolence note in the mail, sent months after he passed rather than around the time it happened, and it brought all that grief right back.

I'm really taken aback by the negative reviews. I have never had a bad experience at Radnor…read moreVet--and I'm here every month. They are extremely accommodating and are able to see my rabbits the day of if need be. Additionally, they have walk-in appointments that are about twice the amount of a normal exam fee, which are very convenient for emergencies. The vets always follow up after a visit, and they also respond by e-mail quickly. All the staff (receptionists and vet techs) are so nice as well. I also wanted to note that a lot of the reviews state that they should have been provided more information. I feel that I'm always provided the information I need, but I'm also well-versed in rabbit care to determine what questions I need to ask about my rabbits' care. If you're not asked about blood work, you should be asking instead of wondering why you haven't been asked? Doing blood work has always been made clear to me before procedures, and I know that they would be more than happy to run a panel for your pet. I have had one experience with Dr. Donato in my three years as a client and did not find him to be "arrogant or money-hungry" at all. He told me that I seemed like I knew what I was doing in terms of taking care of my rabbit and even took me to the back to let me see the x-ray of my rabbit's stomach.

PART 2- REPLY I SAID WHAT I SAID....AND I MEANT WHAT I…read moreSAID! Your response speaks volumes, and now I totally understand why your front office staff/office manager are the way they are and why they mishandled this situation. 1. It doesn't matter who is registered on your records, it is OUR FAMILY pet, AND I am the one who brings our rabbit in for treatment and pays the bills! So, if my daughter isn't around, I am the one that is to be addressed...Period! 2. I have been living while being BLACK for 56 years now, and how dare you tell me who/what isn't racist to me, or state how I should or shouldn't feel during some of the interactions I've had there. 3. You need to speak what you know and not what you were told. You have a bunch of false and twisted statements in your response. You weren't there, and by chance you were, you should have stood up and handled the situation in a correct and professional manner. 4.Your office manager DID NOT apologize to my daughter at all. The apology only came when I spoke to her and brought it to her attention that she didn't, only then did she apologize to me. Also, you failed to comment on the threat that your office manager made (which is probably you) insinuating that I should not make the statement that I felt this situation was racially motivated. I'm not surprised though after reading your response and you or your staff not taking any accountability. Some food for thought. It's not always what you say, it's HOW you say it! That's customer service 101. 5. Speaking of being rude? Well maybe if you train your front line not to be rude, then maybe they would not receive it back. Try training them to be kind and helpful, instead of short and snippy! And for the record, I am only referring to about 3 people on the front-line staff that I have encountered within this last year 6. I could go on and on, but it's so not worth it. But I will say in closing, we don't need your validation or approval to take our business elsewhere. I made that clear that we no longer want anything to do with people who can't own up to a mistake that was caused on their end and effectively rectify it with grace, class and professionalism.
