Pear Salad (GF)
Coco R.

Loved this place great location I went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised how good the pear salad was. Also I loved their calamari it's one of the best I've tasted in the area. The service was great they know everything in the menu. The place is very clean and large they also got private events they had baby shower but didn't interfere with my lunch either way. I'd definitely go back again and try their dinner next time

RSVP: not crowded on Sat evening. And can probably walk in. Decor/service : a great decoration with friendly and informative service Food: we tried their and lollipop chicken both are amazingly delicious. Price: a bit pricy but worth the experience. Overall: not bad at all! Worth the try.

What a good time sitting at the bar. Eric, the bartender was a whole vibe. We laughed and he impressed us with mixology. Dining in: Large diningroom with a private dining area with decorative wine walls Great cocktail and wine menu. Enjoyed, the fried pizza dough with burrata great pairing with Sancerre. Lollipop chicken appetizer was very dry with lots of sauce. Great service and attentive staff pricey lots of parking outdoor seating

Wanted to a grab a drink, remembered seeing this place, so I came by. Large venue with an upscale NYC vibe. Metered street parking & a very small private lot. Only sat at the bar for drinks, but eventually ordered some appetizers. Service was great, our bartender was so nice & her drink mixes were perfection. Wish I had caught her name to shout her out. Will be back to explore more of the menu. Grades: Lychee Martini (not pictured): A Apple Martini: A+ Truffle Parmesan Fries: A Shrimp Cocktail: A

First time here got it from the real housewives of New Jersey. The aesthetic is beautiful when you walk in there's a fire pit wide, open decor, classy liquor bottles on the wall very cozy. Our reservation was honored. Service was very good, but also we felt that we were rushed. Everything came out very quickly. We were done eating in an hour and a half. Food was good I would go back. Parking was a little rough. It's street parking only.

Relatively expensive and tasty The room is well appointed and comfortable, taking advantage of the high ceiling. The food is good, not great. The presentation is nice and the portions are generous. The service is attentive and helpful. Overall Vine and Oak is a good addition the Cranford restaurant options.

I came to vine and oak for brunch for my friend's birthday. The restaurant has a classy look to it. The staff was really nice and accommodating. The butter for the bread was unique, it had a sweet herby taste to it. The tres leches french toast was different than what i expected. I thought it would be soaked like a traditional tres leches cake but it wasn't. Nonetheless, it was still tasty. The springe sangria was a nice cocktail. One of my friends really loved the fish tacos and everyone enjoyed the fries. Keep in mind that there is street parking available but its on a busy street. It was an overall nice time and I would love to come back for dinner.

Saw friends post about Vine and Oak Tavern. Decided to make reservations. We arrived early- had drinks at the bar. Then proceeded to the dinning area. We said we were going to share the beet salad- hubby and I each got a salad. Beautifully presented. Entrees were tasty. Really liked the crème brûlée. Nice ambiance. Our Server Danny was attentive. Silverware changed with each course. He brought me a to go container and bag for my entree! Thank you Street parking.

WINE IS GOOD

First time was a winner. We shared the peach salad which was done very nicely. My wife chose the pork chop and i chose the braised short rib. Needless to say both dishes were delicious. Had a nice bottle of wine the creme brulee and the night was a hit. The place is very pretty with a NYC and VEGAS bar setup. We truly enjoyed our first time and will be back again. Service also was good. Prices for a steak house are very reasonale.

Great ambience and service. Went for drinks and appetizers and got the Burrata and charcuterie board with wine. Service was very attentive and pleasant. They have a good wine selection as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Beautiful airy space, food so-so and overpriced, service amateurish. I might return for a drink at the spacious bar...but that's about it.

My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and a refreshing mocktail to drink made for a perfect meal. Sweetie ate a pasta bolognese (I think) which looked and ate good, and drowned it with a nice glass of red wine. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.

The main part of the restaurant is cozy and compact. There's a small bar with seating for roughly 10 people at quick glance . Various tables throughout the restaurant along with upstairs loft like tables for a more private experience. lighting was low and the restaurant played music as well ( a mix of hip hop n rnb) overall, it was a vibe . service no complaints at all with service. However, some of the dishes i tried order were already sold out and we were a 730 reservation so i was surprised about that . Food I ordered their " Rasta Pasta w/ Salmon " i was expecting it to be actually spicy and it was devoid of spice. pasta was cooked good though and the veggies were also cooked well. The salmon though was a bit dry for my liking but it wasn't too bad that it was inedible. Overall, i'm glad i tried this spot , however i think the ambience outshines the food here. I'm willing to try other things though to see what else is on their menu and i did see they do have brunch.

I really wanted to like this place, and I did, for some aspects…read more The food was delicious. The flavors were all incredible, from appetizer to dessert. We had the short rib empanadas, which were crispy and fully of meat. They were definitely the highlight of the night! The rasta pasta was good, but it came out warm and with few shrimp. The flavors were still excellent, however. The carrot cake for dessert was moist and not too sweet, which I prefer! The space was also super clean and well maintained. What really disappointed me was the service. We had a reservation, but had to wait to be seated even with plenty of open tables. That's normally not a big deal for us, but we had an event to get to tonight, so we were in more of a rush. Someone came to us to ask what water we wanted after 10 minutes of being sat, after which the hostess came back over to us to apologize that our server hasn't come over yet and asked if we would like water. Much more time passes and someone (still not our server) comes to ask us if everything is alright. We explain that no one has taken our order, which she apologized for and took our order for us. She then had to come back over because she forgot to include what protein we picked for our pasta. Finally, our server came over to us. We explained that we had already ordered. More hiccups continued throughout the night, including a long wait for the check, never being brought a dessert menu after asking, etc. I'm not one to complain about service, I just think they could be more efficient. At the time we arrived, there were only a few other tables seated in our area. It wasn't super busy, and there were a lot of people working. We overheard staff whispering about who was supposed to be taking care of us, and it still took time for someone to come over and help us. I think the staff knew we overheard or were disappointed in the service, because our dessert was free, and we received a bread basket as well. I'd love to give them another chance, just maybe not if I have plans after.

A few of my guests are very familiar with Haitian cuisine, so we were really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, I was immediately disappointed when we arrived because there was no customized/pre-booked menu prepared for our party as discussed beforehand. When I asked about it, I was told they were unsure what happened and no menus had been printed. Because of that, I had to ask the server to verbally explain the dinner selections and sides to everyone. Now for the food: The Ou La wings were delicious, and the crab cakes were excellent so flavorful and moist. We are familiar with soup bouillon, but unfortunately this version was not enjoyable to us. It had a very tangy taste that seemed off. For entrées, the griot was served with diri djon djon, fried plantains, and broccolini. The griot itself was good, but the plantains were fried extremely hard. This entrée was also supposed to come with salad russe, but that was missing. The salmon was delicious overall, although a few guests felt it was very dry. The mashed potatoes and broccolini were good. I also asked for pikliz, which was excellent and had the perfect kick to it. The drinks were definitely delicious and strong. Dessert was another disappointment because the crème brûlée I had pre-booked was unavailable. I ended up trying the carrot cake and almond toasted cake, which were okay. I will say our server was very sweet and attentive throughout the night. The restaurant itself was also nice and clean. However, the food took quite a while to come out, especially for a dinner that had been pre-planned in advance. Overall, there were just too many hiccups for an event that was booked ahead of time. While there were some enjoyable dishes and good service, I personally would not recommend this place for a large party or special pre-planned event.

I got a Sazerac with cognac, I usually get that but this time they didn't have Pierre Ferran for they only had Ansac. I personally don't care for Ansac so I believe it totally changed the taste of the drink. The bartender could tell. I didn't like it and he asked me about four times " Are you sure I change it? It doesn't matter." I'm like if you're gonna ask me that many times then let's change it. So I got a sidecar and that was fire.

I've dined at the bar, where the fabulous bartender serves excellent cocktails. Also, there is a quiet dining room upstairs, but the downstairs dining area was a great place to feel the vibe and bustle of service last night. We started with a pomegranate martini and a gimlet, which was great but on the sweet side. The regular vodka dirty martini was the best drink, plenty stroclng with blue cheese stuffed olives. For $16.75, the Cau Cau Red wine came in a small carafe and equaled 1 and 1/2 glasses of this light but well-balanced wine. The dinner menu had 2 pasta options under appetizers, which I love to see, since I didn't have to choose between a pasta and entre cause I had both. The pasta dish came with velvety sauce with plenty of chantrelle mushrooms and bacon. The pasta was 4 ravioli like cylindrical dumplings with cheese on the inside. This dish was phenomenal and paired well with the wine. For an entre, the 4 meaty lamb rib chops cooked medium rare were perfect served over some tasty, lightly cooked greens and potatoes over a sticky red wine reduction. The spicy chicken parm was a huge portion of 2 large cutlets and fresh pasta shells. The dish was good, but it was not as great as everything else we ate tonight since he chicken was just missing a bit of crunch After the meal, we were stuffed and passed on dessert so we could savor the food memories. However, the waitress sent us off with 2 canoli's which tasted really good the following day.
