French dip
Lori H.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I read a few reviews b4 coming in that said the music was too loud. So I came prepared to leave if that was the case. I was here on a Thursday at 5:30, music volume was at a good low level.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had French dip and it was pretty good. The bun was smaller (which I like) the meat was moist and tender. Better than Bleachers or CK's. However, the au jus left something to be desired, it tasted too heavy, salty and overcooked. My young server, Kyle, was very personable, on top of his game and genuinely seems to enjoy his job.

My favorite bartender!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is fire!! I highly recommend...great vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a ton of TVs, food is good, and the service is amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartender, Haleigh was so friendly and on her game! Cody and Kyle were on the floor and handled business! 24 beers on tap...yes please! I think I found my new neighborhood spot!

My wife and I visited on 3/26 around 2pm. Nice, spacious, clean looking bar which was decidedly quiet for a lunchtime. Nobody really seemed interested in helping us and we had to go to the bar to ask if we should sit somewhere. When the waitress arrived, I asked her what she recommended. She told me, "We are known for our wings". When they came out, they were the smallest wings I have ever seen in my life. Highly disappointing. We had to visit another restaurant afterward for more food. After paying $70 at Vine we were still hungry

We've been coming to The Vine since our days at ASU when it used to be open in Tempe! We love the atmosphere and great service. We purchased our first home in Tukee and we are extremely excited to now have them in our neighborhood! They are located right behind the UFC gym. Our favorites are the wings and a of course the ice cold beer! We're so happy to have been here for the grand opening. Happy hour from 3pm-7pm!

Vine up charges

I'll start this review out with the positives, [[HIGHLIGHT]]they have an awesome dog friendly patio[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the food is always delicious. The negative side is that they up charge for every little thing that they can and basically nickel and dime you. My wife and I have been going here since last fall about once a week on the weekends and I stop in for lunch after golf 2-3 times a month. We always knew they are more expensive than for example CK's, but because of the dog friendly patio we accepted it. This past Friday night however was the last straw. My wife and I both ordered the special, which was fish and chips. We asked to add garlic sauce to the fries. When we got the bill we had been charged an additional $8 for garlic fries. I assumed it was a mistake since we hadn't ordered an extra order. The waiter came back and said that his GM was there and had told him that was the up charge for 2 orders of garlic sauce!!!! $4 each for 2 small cups of sauce??? The manager refused to even come to our table and talk with us about it! Our server knew we were regulars, and I could tell he was uncomfortable about this, but just kept apologizing. We paid our bill, left him a little over 20% tip and will never be back! Did I mention they charge $17 for a burger!!

The only thing that could be better is a bit less light, as it feels like "drink 'em up!!!" time at 5pm.

I really wanted to love this place because it's close by and it's the vine! However, it's too loud. It's difficult to have a conversation

Our complaint was that we went to order appetizers and they were out of eggrolls and mozzarella sticks at 6:30 PM! Food manager fail. My friend ordered a pizza that never came. Kitchen fail. The gal teaching country line dancing has a lot of energy and while the steps aren't the easiest, I like that she repeats the lessons, so my second week here felt a lot better than the first. I have been to Scootin' Boots in Mesa for country line dancing too and found the other place easier, but it was a bit more, $10. Country line dancing is hard for me and I have to really pay attention and focus. Its a great work out and you feel like you have accomplished something! There is a bar here and beers cost $7 for a 12 oz. pour. Bartender was prompt and helpful. Food is available here, your usual bar food, which I have ordered none. I do love that they have these red horseshoe booths, which are super fun. I dont know what this place is like on other nights but I did enjoy this place for the country line dancing lessons. I'd come back and definitely wouldn't mind coming back for their other events also, seems a lot going on here!

Their drink selection is huge and everything we have tried has been amazing. The cigar selection is also excellent and the employees are very helpful when it comes to helping you choose the right one. They offer monthly locker rentals, have lots of TVs, and usually play great music. My favorite is when they have R & B or jazz vibes. I have come in before when they were playing Green Day or harder rock, which did not quite match the chill atmosphere, but that is a small dent in this great place. They manage the smoke really well so it never feels overly smoky inside. There is also a restaurant next door, which is perfect because you can order food, bring it over, and they give you a pager to let you know when it is ready. Always a great experience here, one of our favorites! They are always playing games and were showing the Olympics this time.

My first pint was a Hefeweizen. It had a slight waxy mouthfeel. My second pint was an oatmeal stout. At 7.3% ABV it was a tad strong, but it went down very smoothly. I snacked on some free popcorn but it was seasoned with a strong spice. Thankfully I could help myself to the water fountain. I enjoyed the ambiance and will be back.

After the first bad experience, I came back thinking maybe it was just a one-off, but unfortunately the second visit was just as disappointing. The customer service was honestly terrible both times. One visit, we waited over 20 minutes just to have our order taken, and when it finally was, I was told the staff had eaten my cookie because they thought the order was placed as a joke. I genuinely couldn't believe it. Then it took another 40 minutes for my Pazooki to come out. The second time, they completely forgot one person's food at our table. We reminded them multiple times, and the food still never came out. On top of that, the servers were almost impossible to find the entire time even just to get drink refills. We actually would've ordered more drinks and more food, but there was never anyone around to help us. The cleanliness was honestly the most concerning part of the whole experience. The restaurant felt dirty and poorly maintained to the point where I'm genuinely shocked the Health Department hasn't stepped in. It made the entire experience feel uncomfortable and unsanitary. It's disappointing because the place has potential and Ahwatukee could really use a great local sports grill, but based on my experiences, I personally have no interest in returning or spending money there again unless major improvements are made
