We were on a road trip and stopped here for lunch. The facility is very nice and the golf course looks fun. We sat on the patio to watch the golfers while we ate. The service was friendly but super slow. They were obviously understaffed. The golfers transitioning from the front to back nine took precedence over the dine in guests which kinda makes sense. I had the Huevos Rancheros, and I have nothing to complain about. The dining room was spacious and had a good ambience. It was very relaxing. Great job!! This was our 2nd trip here, both times for breakfast. Service was great and the place is clean and comfortable. The views of the golf course and the nearby mountains are fantastic. The menu is very limited and the food, although good, isn't quite up to getting top-notch reviews. Worth a trip from Maricopa, but not much further, unless you are golfing here. read more

After my dental appt I decided to eat breakfast here. I craved SOS aka Sh** on a Shingle; otherwise known as creamed beef on toast. Well wouldn't you know it; they don't serve it anymore. With all the retired military vets here, I'm surprised. So I ordered the next best thing, biscuits and gravy. I haven't had coffee all morning so I ordered a cup. I was surprised when the server brought me coffee in a paper cup. I looked around and everyone else were drinking theirs in ceramic mugs. WTH! Something fishy is going on. The last time I came here after golf I ordered a beer. It was served to me in a plastic cup. I observed everyone else drinking theirs out of beer glasses. What is going on here. You can imagine what I was thinking. My food arrived a short time later, but it was the wrong order. I ordered B&G, eggs O/E, and country potatoes. The plate in front of me had scrambled eggs and hash browns along with B & G. The server brought out the correct order a couple minutes later. She claimed she had the wrong ticket. Luckily I didn't touch the meal. I did add pepper to the B & G however. Now to my breakfast. Ok! The biscuits were very dry. I think they're store bought. They appeared old and not freshly baked. My country potatoes were nothing more than deep fried potatoes thrown on the plate. There were no onions or peppers. I don't know if there is a new cook or not, but the black guy that used to be there could cook. Maybe that's who use to prepare the SOS! read more

I'm so happy we stopped in today! The food is some of the best in town. I highly recommend the Arroyo Pop-Over - great combination of flavors with just the right amount of punch with the chipotle sauce on top. The servers were very friendly but unfortunately we had to get up most of the time to get drinks and our check. Maybe it was an off day, we just felt forgotten about. The service was good. The food was good. I happened to have visited this restaurant during a golf tournament unknowingly so it was very very busy. Not the restaurant in general but the parking lot was very full and people were everywhere. I suppose if you want a relaxing serene environment maybe call to make sure there isn't a golf tournament going on before you go. But if busy, busy is your thing then no need to worry about it. Maricopa in general doesn't have much to offer so for now it's a nice place to go if you're not wanting to commute out of the city. Maybe a nice place to take your visiting relatives. The prices seem average or slightly higher than average. read more

Came here for breakfast with friends. Ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with scrambled eggs and country fried potatoes. Also ordered the same to go except with eggs over medium for wife at home. Waitress was ok, refilling coffee cups but coffee half the time was only Luke warm and not hot. Gravy on biscuits had almost no meat in it, which was disappointing. Potatoes were good, and eggs were ok, but quite small. This was 2nd time ordering Biscuits and Gravy breakfast for the wife, both times she was disappointed. read more

I really like the quiet atmosphere of this restaurant. We had a couple from Florida visiting and decided to head to Arroyo Grille. We ate inside though the patio is very inviting as well. I had the fish tacos and they were so very good. A seasoned grilled white fish, so very tasty. My husband had one of their oversized burgers and he was so pleased, made to his requested order and again full of taste. Everyone's meal was just perfect. Service was great and we had a great visit with our friends. This is a place we will certainly return to again and again. read more

My go to-place in Maricopa when we want to take guests to lunch. The food is delicious. Especially the burgers and salads. Fresh generous portions. And they make an excellent martini. The severs are cheerful, professional and knowledgeable about the menu and always make good recommendations if you ask. Went here with a friend, her suggestion as last few times I haven't had a good experience and swore I'd never go back. We started off ok but then the mood quickly changed. Our server came quickly to take our order but we weren't ready so we asked for more time. She then came like 2 more times within the next 5 minutes and seemed irritated that we still weren't ready. Next visit was by another server and we gave her our order. My friend ordered some waffle sweet potato fries and I believe it was called a brisket burger or something like that. I ordered the prime rib dip. My friend absolutely loved her meal. Mine was good but it did have quite a bit of fat in it. Would of been A+ if not for that. Then while we were eating we had one server cleaning a table next to us yell across the room to another server. This went on for a few minutes and was quite irritating while we were trying to enjoy a nice lunch. In the end we had to end up flagging someone down for our check because they just seemed to keep ignoring us even though they were looking right at us and could see we were were finished and just sitting there waiting. read more

Came here for the first time and tried there appetizer beef nachos which were a meal in itself! Delish cheese sauce and shredded cheese on top with seasoned beef, pick de Gallo and just a whole bunch of goodness! Beef Grilled cheese not a fan needs some type of sauce. So freaking good.y husband called on a Friday afternoon to try to get a reservation but the earliest they had was 7pm which is much later than we normally eat but they do accept walk ins and have a bar so we went in at 5:30 and were seated immediately. We are always pleased with everything we order and our will-power goes out the door with Pastry Chef Tatyana's delectable desserts! We always look forward to their Thursday evening dinner specials for $20. The ambiance is lodge-like, with a fireplace that is welcoming on cold days. The restaurant has views of the Southern Dunes Golf Course and Mountains. There is an outdoor patio with a fireplace, but we have noticed they get a lot of mosquitos at times. They offer mosquito repellent for people who are bothered by it. All in all it's our favorite place in 'Copa. read more

Food was sitting while workers socialize with themselves. COLD coffee, cold donut holes, cold fish tacos - donuts did not arrive with the coffee!!! Just left this place with a bad taste in my mouth and never got a chance to try the food or drink. Came in by myself for lunch and seated myself per direction of the waitress. Tables were half taken so it wasn't busy at all. Counted 4 waitresses on duty serving inside and outside. I sat for 10 minutes and was ignored, no water, no menu. Waitresses walked by me never once asking if I've been helped. Now the best part. A man and woman walk in and seat themselves and are waited on with menu in less than 30 seconds. They then decided to move themselves outdoors. While this was going on another 2 tables emptied and now it was only me and maybe 5 other tables who are still seated. I sat for another 10 minutes and couldn't take it any longer and left. No excuses for this. I'm also a Troon Prive Member and new to the area. Very Disappointed! read more

The food was absolutely delicious! I loved the Cubano! There were a few things that disappointed us a little. The waitress seemed to ignore our table. There were very few tables but her and another waitress seemed distracted. We kind of had to flag her down to get drinks and then again to order food. We didn't see her again until we received our check. My friend's order came out wrong (the waitress did not write down our order). The other reason I gave three stars is that we were sitting inside under the fan. It kept dropping big dust bunnies on us. The first few times was understandable, it happens. But after a handful of times, it became super frustrating. Since we couldn't flag down our waitress half the time, we couldn't even ask to move or bring it to her attention. I super hate leaving three star reviews, especially when the food was phenomenal!! I would consider coming back to visit in the future but would go in somewhat guarded. read more
