Was up in the area for business. My first time was by myself. Had a pretty good Rueben sandwich. The next day, I went with a colleague at night (Saturday). The food was terrible I asked for my burger to be cooked medium, it was "carne asada" well done. Our server was scarcely seen. I had to go to the bar to refill a water. I also had a tall Blue Moon. All college age servers and you can tell they have little training and table checks are lacking. I was a restaurant/bar manager for many years. Your food could be just average and still draw big crowds. When you have bad service, it doesn't matter how good the food is. Hubby & I had dinner here last Friday night since the new place we wanted to try was closed on July 4th. Since it wasn't very busy, we were seated right away. This time my Sangria was not good! All it tasted like was orange juice. The mushrooms were outstanding again. They really have the best breaded fried mushrooms. The ranch dressing was still runny, but good. Hubby got the bone in wings & onion rings. Both were good. I got the chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken sandwich was very dry. The fires were good. Service was not good. It was very slow. I stopped into Tukee's for lunch while waiting on Discount Tire across the street to slap some new shoes on my vehicle. My order of smoked Golden Hot wings came out quickly and were excellent. Some of the best wings I've had in quite a while, in fact. Meat was super tender with a distinct smoked flavor, and the Golden Hot sauce added that perfect tang. I have a high heat tolerance so requested a side of their Extra Hot sauce to dip in as well. Found it have an enhanced yet tolerable level of spice while remaining quite flavorful. The food here is awesome- no microwaved/re-heated stuff from a bag. Lots of flavor and everything is obviously made from scratch to order. Love Tukee's sports grill. It was so funny when cold beer and cheese burger opened up. They have this banner about it that showed friendly competition. To me, it shows personality. I have your bar favorites and they have trivia too! I haven't been yet, but it's on the list of things to do in ahwatukee. Sometimes the place can be super busy, and someone they're out of the beer you want, we love IPAs. I think I'd like it if they carry more IPA options draft. Even still, it's a great place. I've gotten the fried mushrooms and the taco salad. Every time I get the taco salad, I'm just satisfied. The tater tots are amazing too. read more

Went on a Friday night so it was quite busy! We had to seat ourselves and wait...15 minutes to actually order. One girl - with the Red Hair , started to help us then took her time and ignored us. When it was time to take our orders it was clear she did not want to help us. She was looking for someone else to help instead of her. The food as usual was good. The wings are our fave smoked.. Service was horrible, we usually order at the bar and do take out. But this time we wanted to give them a chance. It was BAD. We usually tip good but because of the bad experience I only rounded to the nearest 10 which was $90 BUT then I check to see that I was actually charged $7.28 more!! Very upsetting for bad service. Came in to have a non-alcoholic beverage. We had appetizers. We just wanted to go out it was late night and they were still open. We had onion rings which were really good and plenty of them. We also had the mozzarella sticks. They were big and cheesy nice and delicious. We also have the veggie lovers flatbread, in the picture. It looks like a big mess, but it was actually really good. Pretty good food. We were there on Friday at 5 pm. One of the coolest beer I've ever had. Everything' was prompt at the beginning but then things really slowed down as soon as business started to pick up. Our server was also the the hostess who is also pregnant and was running around. They were super slammed by the end. My husband never got his last beer. Props to her for doing her best but that's just not sustainable in the long term. First time in so can't say perfect score but I will say I enjoyed my near 2 hours in. Wish I got a picture but the smoked wings are a must! Golden medium, crushed them! Highly recommend. Bar is a little awkward due to the design but the bartender was very nice and was sure to grab my attention. I didn't have a problem getting service which I was a little worried about given the design and crowd size. Locals bar for sure and now that I live in the area I look forward to going back. We really loved this place, great casual bar food, lots of sport screens, reasonably priced food and drinks, and a nice friendly and fun atmosphere. Service was excellent too, very enthusiastic and helpful. You can tell that the place is filled with locals, which is always a good sign. After Jolies Place (my favorite) a great spot. Bartender extremely nice, cocktails good ( too cheap) and the food very good. I'm a day drinker mainly with food so both are important. I can recommend. The salads were large with a good amount of protein for the Chef salad. I added on the grilled chicken (see photo). The Club sandwich was good size also. The Chicken Caesar wrap was a little small. Its unfortunate to say that we are rating this place a 2 because the only appetizer that ever made it to our table were the mozzarella sticks and they were good. We also ordered the appetizer platter but it never came our. Our service was very poor. I had to flag the waitress down to finally place our order but we waited about an hour and our food never came out so we decided to leave and pay for our drinks and mozzarella sticks only. As we were paying, another waitress told us the food was finally coming out. By that time, my party was upset and already out the door. We thought we'd give this place a chance because we met the owner at his,Sam and Luca restaurant and had a pleasant dinning experience there with only one fault, the mozzarella sticks were cold but the owner made it up to us. Won't be returning to Tukee's, that's for certain. Why? I am not a fan of being served by scantily clad ladies, whose attire is more suitable for a yoga class than a restaurant. Yes, it's a sports grill so I am sure their clientele is largely male, but when I see servers wearing revealing sports bras and spandex w/ their butt cheeks on full display, it's a big red flag for me. The second red flag was being handed a laminated food menu that was not only sticky but had what appeared to be a couple different food items stuck to it. Clearly wiping the menus down is not a priority for the Tukee's team. I probably should have washed my hands before I ate my meal! The food was all right, what you would expect for bar food, but it was nothing to write home about. The service was slow, to the point where we all thought our server may have forgotten we existed. It wasn't that crowded either, as we arrived around 4 pm. Maybe Tukee's is experience a staff shortage -- if the food and attire were better, I would be less harsh, but it wasn't so I am not. I would definitely not recommend Tukee's to any friends, or enemies for that matter. Sorry, but it was just bad all round, and I got sick later in the evening. read more

Really?? I don't think Steve, the owner who is amazing would agree with this philosophy. Nobody was being inflammatory, nor were we engaging with anybody else around us. Apparently religious speak between two people at very normal conversation level is not allowed at Tukees's. Spend your money where you literally do not have to deal with this type of ridiculousness . This place is great for Trivia (on Tuesday nights) or Bingo on (Wednesdays). I started coming here recently to spend time with friends. If you win, you get a gift card to use when you return. Gift cards can't be used the same day you win. I would give the food 4.5 stars. Service is great and they check on us often. It can be pretty loud and crowded. Casual dining. This place is off the hook for entertainment and fried stuff! Start with the sampler platter! They make their own breading for the mozzarella sticks and the mushrooms!! So good!! They put shrimp on the jalepeno poppers and wrap them in bacon!! Yum!! One drawback was that they didn't have any hazy IPAs on draft but the cool beans was a fan favorite for the guys in Our party!
