Negatives: The course is very short. There is no restaurant or bar and no alcohol available (or allowed) for the course.

However the asparagus also had same flame taste as the bread. Would have appreciated steamed much more. The shrimp scampi was bland and had no taste. I was definitely skeptical about coming based on the recent reviews but overall it was a good experience. Not the best mini golf course I've ever played but had a great time with the fam nonetheless. Biggest complaint is the holes are uneven so the ball rolls back sometimes or gets stuck up against the wall. $12 for adults and $10 for kids.

However, when we went today, we were rudely interrupted by a man named Tashi and I was told to leave because I am not a family member. Also, if I wanted to order food I had to wait on the side of the building and was not allowed to sit on the chairs. I caused no scene, ordered no food and left the club afterwards. I believe I was discriminated against due to the color of my skin. I went to this club numerous times without any issues and today I was not allowed. This was my last time visiting Sankaty Golf Club. Try not to get distracted by the scenery on the front 9. We lucked out on a late October trip and had a cloudless, windless, high 60s day to play 36. One of the best - if not the best - days of golf I've had in my life. Year before I played in 30 mph wind and despite my worst score of the year couldn't wait to get back. Just play here. Blows away most of the upper echelon public courses on the mainland. As a Nantucket native I'm proud and happy to know my island holds a true gem like this.
