Vini's pizza is right by our place and when my fiance is craving a pizza, we usually end up there :). It's a tiny nice pizzeria, no tables inside. Together with that, they serve variety of food: different pizzas (from thin crust to Chicago deep dish), sandwiches, burgers, pastas, salads and chicken wings! Their staff is always friendly and quick. We usually come at night around 9-10pm to pick up a slice of a house special pizza with sausage, pepperoni, bacon and jalapenos. Nothing special at all. Pizza crust was cardboard thin and not crispy at all. Picked it up on the time given to be ready. Pizza was cold which I knew it would be since the bottom of the box wasn't hot. Had the wings also, just OK. Buffalo sauce was really weak, almost watered down. Last night at 5:04 pm I called and ordered Chicken Parm, salad and bread to be delivered to my home in Inverness. I was told 40 - 45 minutes. Ar 6:27 i called to check on the order. Five additional calls later I spoke with the manager, owner and driver. First the order left, then it was forgotten and remade. Lastly at 8 pm I was told it was on its way and being comped. I went there for a slice of pizza. It was $6. When I was handed the box I knew right away something was wrong. It had no weight to it. I opened the box and it was this ridiculous thin slice of pizza. Used to be a loyal customer but last two separate orders have been reheated pizzas. Pizza places will pre-make common pizzas and just warm them up prior to delivery. It's very evident as the cheese below the pepperoni is darkened and pepperoni is barely cooked. Not to mention the rubbery crust of an old pizza. The first time we ate it and didn't realize it. The second time, we realized it and they promptly redelivered a freshly cooked pizza. The replacement was great but Vinis shouldn't be partaking in this practice. Go to Napolis instead for slices Every time I've been here the slices taste hours old, whereas they're constantly fresh at Nap's from open to 11 at night. The crust is pretty much grease soaked and the cheese is burnt unfortunately. Years ago I use to order the "Bubba Beef" and it was the best ever. I would always highly reccomend the Bubba Beef. My guests where always amazed @ the quality of this beef sandwich on garlic bread with mozzarella. Now, the Bubba Beef is not even edible in my opinion. Its half the size (a good thing) and the "Freshly Sliced Homemade Italian Beef" I believe is false advertising. They now use the cheap generic beef that all the hot dog stands use. This is apparent by the large amount of beef piled on. Rubbery, light color and tasteless. Next time I want a quality sandwich with Homemade Beef I'll go to Lukes! We used to like Vini's but our previous order will be our last. The pizza was so greasy it actually leaked all the way through the box and started running down my hand. Worse than that was the VERY burnt garlic bread they had wrapped up realizing we wouldn't know until we got home. When someone wraps up something which is so horribly burnt it makes me wonder what else they would do to my food without a second thought. read more

The pizza here is fabulous. I'm not a fan of deep dish so I was looking for a thin crust with lots of cheese (I am from WI, after all). This did not disappoint. The cheese was ample and I don't think they could possibly put any more toppings on the pizza. My only gripe here is the cost-it's a bit pricey. I ordered a 12 inch, 1/2 Vini's house special and 1/2 Vini's deluxe. I'm from out of town so I wanted to try both since they sounded so good. The price listed on the website for either of these as a 12 inch pizza is $21.80. Which in itself seemed expensive, but hey, it's on the company's dime. When I went to pick up the pizza, the total (including a bottle of water) came to just under $30.00. Seemed a bit steep, but the pizza was wonderful. I suppose it was worth it given the copious amounts of toppings. read more

We had moved into the area and ordered from here and loved it. That was 6 months ago. I don't know what changed but the last 3 times we ordered the order was wrong. You should not have to open your sandwich and check before you get home. We just ordered tonight. Beef dry with juice on the side and mozzarella. Well the beef was dry but no mozzarella and no juice on the side. Ok not the end if the world if they didn't charge you extra for both. Not sure why they charge for juice. Oh well gave them 3 more chances and they failed. Not going back. read more

5 stars x 10! Just discovered Vini's in Palatine and without hesitation I can say the Bubba Beef sandwich is the best I've ever had. As a "seasoned senior" living in or near Chicago for over 70 years, I've enjoyed my share of Italian beef sandwiches. Al's or Portillo's have always ranked high with me, but Vini's wins 1st place now. The excellent service, substantial portions, quality preparation and affordability can't be beat. After trying numerous pizza joints since moving to Palatine last December, we finally got around to trying Vini's and boy are we glad we did. Our first pizza order for delivery was their Bubba Beef Pizza and an order of chicken wings. Both were absolutely delicious. Nice big wings, not little tiny ones like B-Dubs. Order arrived quickly and the driver was friendly and courteous! Our second delivery order was a Bruschetta Pizza and a Meat Lovers Pizza with another order of wings. Both of these pizza's were awesome! Again, quick delivery from a friendly driver. It looks like we've finally found our "regular" pizza shop! read more

Simply the best! The same friendly staff greet me by name for the last 7 years. It's a great place to grab a giant slice & drink, but it doesn't stop with the pizza. Save yourself the disappointment and money. Order a Chicago Deep Dish pizza elsewhere. What a joke!! Ordered a small 12" sausage and cheese deep dish expecting a deep dish. What I got is far from it. Barely any sauce and cheese filling up the thing. I'm talking like it was barely enough to cover a thin crust more less this thick and chewy dough they use in the shape of a deep dish. Each slice had on average 2 1/2 little pieces of sausage and for the $3.10 ingredient charge I was really disappointed. This was more like a really thick pan pizza using crust that was so thick it took up 3/4 of the weight of the pizza. Save yourself the disappointment and just order from Giordano's for the same price. At least you won't get pizza bread with a thin layer of sauce and cheese. What a joke!! read more
