First time here, went fat! Ordered the Italian beef with cheese n sweet peppers and gyros plate with fries. Ate half of the Italian beef, delicious! Attacked half of the gyros plate, delicious!!! Fries with ketchup n black pepper, yum! A lot of pickup orders happening. Would be re-visiting again!!!

Old school gyro, Italian beef, hot dog joint. I've passed this place many times and have never been in. Well, the fries were crinkle cut and thick N Crunchy. Perfectly done. Nice size order too. The gyros sandwich was good and plentiful with meat. I did the sauce on the side to keep things neat to eat. Meat was hand trimmed off the spit and had a nice crispy texture. Thinly sliced tomatoes and onions were easy to bite and overall this was a solid choice for a quick lunch. Next time I'll try the beef. Oh, they had some unusual sandwiches like the Italian gyros with marinara red sauce, giardinera, mozzarella on Italian bread that seemed very interesting. Even a southwest gyros. Cool stuff.

Sundays they're only open from 11 AM. I arrived there at 10:50 AM and had to wait till someone came to open the door at 11:07 AM. They only came to open the door because I called from outside front door. It was weird because they saw me waiting there since 10:50 AM; we made eye contact. I wouldn't bring this up but it was very cold outside, I believe it was 18°F. Carry out only! However, that gyro was good and perfectly made! I will probably return.

COCKROACH SPOTTED. Will not eat here again. On a recent visit, I noticed a Cockroach on the wall behind the grill. Health department confirmed on inspection the next day. We used to love the grilled chicken pitas. But it seems they cut the amount of chicken in the sandwich. That was a deal breaker for us.

Great fast food if you like the basic food. Eat in or take out. We usually get the gyros plate to split with extra pita. Enough for 3

We Always can count on Kosta's for good gyros. Unfortunately, they skimp on on the tzatziki sauce, looking for a surcharge for additional.

There is a monstrous screen behind the bar for sports, but they mostly show videos of Greece, but they are mesmerizing videos of a beautiful country. It's a cleaner version of Dengeo's. And, dare I say, better version. Except for their avgolemeno soup. Such a weak travesty. Please fix this. It's just a watery mess. However, everything else is delicious. I ordered the Greek Chicken with their lemon-butter rice. They debone the chicken and serve atop a mountain of their rice. If also had their potatoes (which are good) but the rice is magical. The first time we went, they had a serve yourself soda fountain and they since got rid of it and sell soda in bottles and cans. They do still have a self-serve water station. Once you order, staff will bring to your table, so please tip when you order or leave on the table as they do come by and clear your table as well. It is first come first served and you grab your own tables. I've been there on weekends and weeknights and they get pretty packed. The food is flavorful and quite tasty. The portions are huge so you're definitely going to bring something home. Nostimo is now in our rotation of places to go in a pinch and they do have an outdoor seating area, too.

Since there was a total of 11 and the seating is first come first serve, we decided to call to see if they had reservations. They did take our name and reserved a table. When we arrived we noticed a table was reserved and we were informed that it was our table. We sat and looked over the menus. When we were ready my 2 boys and I went up to place our order. My one son has major allergies so we spoke to the chef and he came back out to recommend the dishes he can have. It was great that he did so and gave us confidence that my son would be able to eat without worrying too much about the ingredients. I ordered the Shrimp Kalamakia with a side of the Greek Rice. My son with the allergies ordered the Pork Kalamakia with Greek Rice and no pita, my other son ordered the Traditional Pork Gyro with Greek Rice. The sides we ordered: Saganaki Fritters and Spanakopitakia. My son that ordered the Pork Kalamakia devoured it. He said it was tender and juicy and probably could have eaten 4 skewers. My Shrimp Kalamakia was nicely charred and seasoned, I squeezed some lemon and it provided a nice tang over the seasoning. The Lemon rice pilaf was soft and cook just right and was nicely balanced. I had one Saganaki Ball and it was delicious. My son had the Pork Gyros said it was really good and the Tzatziki sauce was creamy and rich with flavors. My in-laws bought the table desserts and I got the Baklava and my wife got Loukoumades (Greek Donuts with Nutella) and both did not disappoint. I really loved the citrus honey syrup in the Baklava. The Loukoumades had a crispy shell and nice a fluffy on the inside and the Nutella amount was perfect. This place is very good and well worth the price in my opinion. I loved the fact that they took the time to make sure my son with allergies was safe.

I hit the drive thru on my way home at 10:30 pm on Wed night 1/21/2026; there was a total of 6 cars in line with me! I ordered my usual Triple Bacon Classic Combo, but this time, I added a 4-piece order of Chicken Tenders with Scorching Hot Sauce! I had to pull over to the side entrance for about 3 or 4 minutes so they could make the Chicken Tenders (which was well worth the little wait)! I then drove into the strip plaza next door, parked in front of the martial arts studio facing Route 14 & Taco Bell, turned on HBO Max on my phone, and ate my awesomely hot, fresh, flavorful and delicious Wendy's order!! What a great way to end a late work night! I've actually been dining at this same Wendy's location since 1989, when I first moved to Palatine! It was great then and it's still great now! The fact that it's still doing a lot of business and has held its own since the 1980s, is a major testament to how well-run this place is! Anyway, I would definitely come back to this location! It really saved my life during my late night drive home because my blood sugar was dropping pretty bad and I was starting to feel a bit light headed, so thank God, this Wendy's is open 'til 2 am and still serving up great food!!!

When…read morethe grocery store wasn't open and my teenager was dropped off at school, I knew if I went back inside the house, I wouldn't want to come back out in the cold so I washed the car and then decided to treat myself to said Diet Dr. Pepper concoction. While I was ordering on the app, my brain saw a corn dog was $0.99 so "Why the hecks not?" and then a deal popped up for a Jr. Double Cheeseburger for $1.99. Sometimes my brain craves doing something out of the ordinary to combat the responsible part of my brain that sticks to a routine so I got both. The drink was just what I remembered, the corn dog was hot, crispy, and the batter had a good taste. I got the cheeseburger with no cheese (my body cannot process it lol). The patties tasted like they were from the golden arches. It was a little too saucy for my liking, but I wouldn't say no to it if we crossed paths again. The ambiance was...my car so it was clean and had my favorite radio station playing. The food was brought out fairly quickly and without much fanfare, which was okay with me. I parked as close as I could to the door so the staff member didn't have to trek super far. Again, not bad for a mini adventure off the usual path, but it can be a whole season again before I visit again!

To redeem it, I had to use the Sonic app. That was a bit of a hassle, as I would not normally download an app for a place I've never been to before. Once I had the app, I placed my order using my gift card, and then had to add a credit card to cover the $2 balance. Ugh. My confirmation said my order would be ready in a few minutes, so I headed right over to Sonic and used the app to notify the staff I was in a pickup stall. There were only a couple of other cars there, but it took several minutes for my food to come out. My order included: A small vanilla shake. This was the best part of my meal. The shake was really thick! A southwest queso chicken wrap. This was also pretty good. I can see it being a good snack on the go. A small order of chicken bites. They were fine, but nothing to write home about. In all, my order came to around $12. I don't typically eat fast food, and would not have visited Sonic if I hadn't received the gift card. It was a nice opportunity to try a few items on the menu. I'd probably return for a shake or a queso wrap if I were in the area, but the long wait time would be a deterrent if I needed to pick it up quickly.
