Was in Palintine and had to hit up J&J. Friendly guy at the counter was serving up slices. I bought one slice of cheese pizza and a drink came with it. Like my man Tim from Chicago noted in his review, this pizza is heavy and large. It felt like a was carrying a brick to the car. The dough was extra dense. The pizza flavor was satisfactory. On the plus side, you will not be hungry after eating one slice for the price of $8.08 with tax. That's not a bad deal and will due if your in a pinch and just craving to get some pizza in your mouth. read more

Here are some thots: --If I had to use one word to describe their pizza slices, it would have to be "substantial." --When they handed me my slice of sausage, I thought they accidentally put a brick in mine : ) --It's not the best slice I've ever had, but it really filled me up. Excellent food n I'm on a quest to try all. Saw a tiktoker review and had to try. Pizza by slice was very good. But the pizza we ordered straight out of the oven was absolutely delicious excellent! Also I've tried the wings-crispy lemon pepper Awesome just like that but they have several sauces if you like to dip. The mango habanero spicy! I like that....So of course being Dr. Hamburger for years I ordered a double cheeseburger on a garlic bun! Woe! So delicious n big n comes w a huge fries was like $15. Super excited for a new family owned pizza place to come to my neighborhood! J&J Pizza just opened up this weekend and I can't seem to get enough. The newly opened pizzeria offers pizza slices and whole pizzas for an insanely great price. Each pizza is freshly made to order and they have a great selection of toppings and specials to order from. If you don't want to commit to an entire pizza they have a great value combo special that includes a huge slice of pizza and a 1L bottled soda for only $5! Highly recommend their spicy meat lovers special which comes with freshly chopped jalapeños for an added kick. Their sausage pizza slice was phenomenal as well. Love the concept of picking up a hot freshly made pizza slice on the go with a drink for a great value. Location is all newly renovated and parking is ample and convenient. Great fast and friendly service and delicious pizza, this pizza joint will definitely be my new go to spot. read more

Came in with a promo, and we are so glad we found J&J! Jose, one of the owners, was great! He made sure we felt welcomed, and was enthusiastic about making and serving their food! We ordered one slice of pizza (promo) and one J&J'S HOUSE BEEF, which is Italian beef, garlic bread & mozzarella! Not a healthy meal, but SO good, and enough for a second meal of take-home. The pizza was great, with an amazing, tangy sauce! The beef was also amazing, and making Italian beef with garlic bread is genius! My honest review. Let's start with the pizza, thin crispy crust, great sauce. My go to is: the veggie perfect combination. Sausage and pepperoni, Italian beef with Giardiniera, gyro meat with garlic. All the toppings are solid. Pizza is cooked perfectly. Sandwiches: my recommendations are the Italian beef made in house. Thinly sliced tender beef in a flavorful juice. Next would be the Italian sausage sandwich which is also their recipe, perfectly charred and flavorful. Honorable mention is the Italian sub perfect balance of Italian lunch meats. And how could I forget about the Italian meatball sandwich, the sauce is amazing as well and the perfectly cooked meatballs. Burgers: I recommend the Hawaiian burger, beef patty with cheese, pineapple with a chipotle mayo. Wings: good size wings with great sauces. I recommend the hot habanero (so flavorful) buffalo has a great flavor. Lastly if you like chamoy I would recommend that sauce as well. Normally we would order one of their most excellent pizzas - Opted for the ribs with spicy barbecue sauce - Needless to say - Completely excellent!! So dang good!! These guys are awesome!! Tried this place for a change and was pleasantly surprised! We got two "slicer crust" pizzas, a calzone, and a salad. The salad is a salad, the pizzas were heavy duty and the calzone "looked" dry on the outside but delish when I started actually eating it. I didn't leave a review because maybe it was a fluke but tried it again this Friday and the food was spot on, again! The guy who answered the phone and was working there when I picked up was very friendly, too! We have only tried the slicer crust so I don't know about the other crusts but in my opinion the "slicer crust" is like a pan pizza. Definitely great to have in our regular rotation! read more

This place is legit. The calzone/pizzarito is incredible. Just get one and split it if it's for two of you. Throw like three toppings including ricotta and boom. The pizza balls are a garlicky adventure to flavortown, with the smooth explosion of cheese on your way to the tasty river. Breadsticks with cheese are good. They're made on a double dough crust, which was kind of odd but I honestly liked being able to make them a tad skinnier with less bread and more cheese. Just make sure to ask for extra red sauce. I'm not sure how this place has all these 5 stars. I'm not a big reviewer, but when something seems off I feel like I need to correct the record. Let's start with the positives: (1) They offer a spicy pizza sauce which is fabulous. I can really only find this at MOD and I enjoy it there too; and (2) the customer service is terrific. I ordered for deliver and the driver was extremely friendly, reading back the order before they leave to make sure they brought you what you actually ordered. You can tell they want to please their customers and that's a great thing. Okay, the negatives: (1) The pizza is a grease bath. Its a paper towel pizza, and not just any paper towel, it's a Bounty paper towel pizza. The cheese had puddles, and I do mean puddles, of orange grease all over the pizza. Even after padding off the grease with the paper towels there is so much cheese on it that even though it was cut at the store the cheese re-melts and you can't separate the slices without the cheese falling off the pizza. It's a thin crust pizza but must have 10lbs of cheese on it. If the restaurant is reading this, prepare a pizza for a tasting that has literally 1/2 the cheese - it'll be less oily, less messy, reduce costs and it'll taste better; (2) the edge crust is ok, but the underneath is chewy. And I don't mean it's doughy, I mean you would think someone microwaved the bread, chewy. It was hard to eat to be honest and I ordered it well done; and (3) I ordered on the Slice app, even though the app estimated 55-70 minutes for a thin crusted pizza, the restaurant got it to me in 83 mins. Nearly an hour and a half for a thin crust pizza which was highly disappointing. Bottom line, 1 star for service and 1 star for the sauce, but the pizza itself isn't very good and I hate saying that, but it's just not - at least not for delivery. read more

Blows away anything in the Arlington Heights-Palatine-Buffalo Grove area. And they have great coupon deals throughout the week like Wednesday where you get basically 32" of the highest quality pizza for like $24.95. Who does that? I guess these guys do. read more

Broke quarantine and went in for a slice of pizza, being that this place has 5 stars out of the slice pizza options. Maybe because they're relatively new? Was overall disappointed. Slice was mediocre, luke warm. I microwaved it at home. Overall too much cheese, not enough flavor. Wasn't thrilled with the crust, and I typically eat the crust of the slice. Super dry. No individual ingredient was good individually. I realize the by the slice option may not measure up to their whole pies, which could be better?? The service was prompt and friendly (the second star) Even though I didn't love the slice I managed to eat most of it, after all it's still pizza. I've had slices from other places in the area and all were better. The worst was the "homemade" brownie I purchased. I realize this place isn't a bakery, but I've had better brownies from vending machines. Utterly flavorless and truly the worst I've ever had. One bite and I couldn't do a second. I really wanted to cart the brownie back to return. It's just that bad but not worth a trip. read more

Pizza like it should be! It reminds me of true Chicago pizza; they kind of pizza you used to get when you sat down at your neighborhood pizzeria. Good suburban Chicago pizza hard to find except for Lou's; and that is a distinct market. J and J has a crust worth eating unless you are avoiding carbs. The dough is tender, not overworked. Thin enough to hold the juicy contents on top but not like either bread or cracker. Just good. Mouth watering toppings that you can sink your teeth into. Love the pizza but the Italian beef needs to be improved! The beef juice is too oily. I can usually drink the beef juice from most places or dip the sandwich in it but their juice is just oil and herbs. The quality of the bread is too thick and the meat tasted processed. read more
