Had some wine, smash burger and Frites (that's fries for us normal folks) with Parmesan and truffle seasoning. Fries were great. Limited menu but decent food. Now the wine. Had the house white, the red and Cabernet. Nigara white was nice, full bodied and flavorful. Concord red was not below area wineries average for a table red. Bit too oaky. And then the Cabernet..let's just say it's a pass. Weird that the smell was so bland also. $50 without tip for sharing a burger, appetizer and few glasses of wine. Vinland is more of a restaurant than a winery but with a limited menu. Wait staff were nice. Only issue was that you couldn't go outside without a reservation. On a Wednesday at 5pm. So if you want outside make a reservation. People who like Ruth Chris for dinner will like this place. Atmosphere very nice, modern style. read more

I've been here 3 or 4 times now and I do enjoy the wine. The outdoor patio is beautiful. The people working are nice for the most part. We did have a tasting room associate that couldn't have cared less about my friend and I, but when a group of older ladies with golf attire came in, she was SO happy to serve them. Odd, but I tipped her well anyway. Now the food, I genuinely hope they revamp it at some point. The food is so overpriced, small portions, and not good. I had a chicken Caesar salad. It was the size of a small side salad with chicken that had been sitting in a fridge for who knows how long. They give you a cheese crisp, but that too had been sitting in the fridge. It was cold and extremely chewy. I will be back, but I'm not sure I'll eat here again. read more

We had reservations and so glad that we did) Our waitress was really busy but was very good. The parking situation was not great. Went to Vineland reserve winery tonight I was skeptical due to all the mixed reviews about the place. Arrived at 8 on Saturday night and it was packed. We hit the wine tasting room first, it's very small and it's $10 for 4 tastings. The wine was fantastic. The reds varied from subtle and fruity to bold and dry. The whites were refreshing and crisp with a clean swallow. When we settled on a wine we loved we ordered a carafe and walked out onto the enormous patio. It's three levels!! There's a gorgeous pond with tables close by, there are chairs around fire pits and then tables close to the building. Tables that say open seating are free for all and the ones that have reserved are for the reservations. I would suggest making reservations because open seating tables are rare. They had live music playing and lots of umbrellas adorned the tables. On the outside they had a walk up window because the tables that are open seating are self service only. Reserved tables have wait staff. We didn't eat but the food we saw looked very good. The staff we did encounter were friendly and the atmosphere seemed relaxed by everyone. We had a great time and highly recommend and we will be back for sure. read more

Overall a very good experience at Vinland. We enjoyed 1/2 wine by the glass for their Wednesday deal which was wonderful. The overall ambiance was great but the service wasn't the fastest by any means. Our food took about 25/30 minutes to come out but did taste amazing! read more

We went to Vinland Winery for the first time. We had the cheese curds appetizer, and these were freshly made, not frozen , and the size was large enough for 2 or 3 people. I got the smash burger on a pretzel bun. It had double patties, American cheese, grilled onions and fig jam. So good, and messy! I also had the pineapple slushy, which was very good. I made reservations a day in advance on the patio due to a nice forecast. I will definitely be back. read more

Atmosphere was top notch and the filling on the lobster roll was remisnecesnt of a day in Maine (didn't have the bread because we prefer the Connecticut style). Wings had a decadent crunch and the service aged like a fine wine with subsequent carafes. I really want to like Vinland, but after 3 visits, it just isn't my favorite. After having a lovely brunch with a friend not soon after opening, I was excited to bring my daughter and her boyfriend for brunch soon after. They are under 21, and we were seated in a back room off in a corner as if an afterthought. The food ok, but not worth the money charged. We were definitely disappointed. My friend visited recently from Indianapolis, and I decided to bring her to Vinland on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon to enjoy the back patio. We asked for a seat and were seated in the covered patio in the shade. When we asked our server if we could move to the uncovered portion of the patio, in the sun, where it was much warmer, she advised us that it was "self-serve only" and that we wouldn't be able to order any food other than small bites, and that we must order our food at the window. Interestingly enough, several other patrons were being served in the open patio and were being served meals. When I approached the window, it was still locked and hadn't even been opened for the day, even though they had been open for at least 5 hours by the time we arrived. I asked for a wine flight and was told they couldn't be served from the window, and neither could any food from the menu. How disappointing! I ordered a glass of wine, which was ok. My friend ordered a slushie, which was overpriced at $12 and did not taste good at all. There are other wineries in town with much better customer service, ambiance, prices, and food. We reserved a 4 pm in the bar area and were seated right by the window. Very nice place, it didn't feel too fancy or anything. We got our 2 samples of wine before ordering. We are sweet wine drinkers, however I was disappointed 3 out of our 4 samples were very acidic and almost hard on the palette. I'm hoping this is just because it is a newer winery and it will get better, but we settled on a bottle of the Pink Catawba which was sweet and the acidity wasn't high on this. A perfect sweet wine for summer. My husband got the Smashburger with a pretzel bun and American cheese and I got the Viking Pasta, no protein. The burger was cooked perfectly as were the fries and the fig jam was a great addition. He didn't care for the aioli sauce. My Viking Pasta was yummy, a poblano crema was not too hot but perfect on the spice. Only thing I would change next time is to either ask to go easy on the cilantro or just omit it (I'm not the biggest fan of it to begin with but wanted to try how they added it). We decided not to get their dessert as we were full. We were never rushed to finish or felt rushed, we could enjoy and finish our bottle of wine inside and enjoyed the quiet with being able to hear some of the live music in the background. After we paid, we realized they had a trail with benches around the pond area, so we went ahead and relaxed there for an hour just talking and enjoying the live music. It really made our anniversary feel special and relaxing. I would definitely come back for the food and maybe try a different wine. They were sold out of the Brown Sugar Rum Plum so I didn't get to try that this time. read more

I was not expecting to be going to a winery while in Fort Wayne, but I'm glad we made time for this spot. My friend and I came here Saturday 4/6/24 for brunch. The restaurant is pretty new, everything was clean and the grounds are very pretty. The surrounding area though, lots of construction going on. I got a wine slushie flight, never had a wine slushie before but I can go for more of these during the summer. We ordered the brunch plank, I think it could use a couple more pieces of bacon. The belgian waffles that came with it were good but too sweet, it felt like we were biting into pieces of crystallized sugar. I ordered the huron and the salmon cake was a bit dry but the egg with hollandaise sauce helps with the dryness and I could've used more of it. Ordered the seasonal quiche/frittata and that was good. Our server whose name I now can't remember (Josh?), he was amazing and regularly checked up on us despite being busy as he was manning the bar as well. Overall we had a great time here. read more

Exceptional first visit. Will now be traveling to this area often with this winery as one of the highlights! First impression is unassuming from the outside and at the end of a neighborhood of condo/apartments. Stunning inside and out. Perfectly set with tiered outside dining on a small pond, fire pits, patio, and a outdoor stage for (I'm told) live music every night in the summer with potential on a sat in the winter. The wine is some of the best that I have had in the Indiana and Ohio areas. Would recommend most of the wines to anyone. There is something for every type of wine standing. The food was the icing on the whole experience. Priced at a value while putting thought into taste and presentation. Service was peaceful and personal. Was a perfect amount of attention and suggestion from the waitress from California! Would have never tried a pumpkin soup but so glad I did! Thank you! Need a space big or small for a gathering? This should be it. Tasting room and barrel room with a big family table are also available. There were not any details missed in the design and execution of this establishment. I rarely review but I sooo want the food to be good here to match the excellent wine and service! Last evening I had the Nordic salmon cakes. They were palatable and seared well. The tartar sauce lacked zing, but again, edible. I was looking forward to the sauteed sugar snap peas but someone in the kitchen doesn't know to remove the string that runs alongside the pod. I really made a valiant effort to chew them and swallow without choking...but ended up needing to pull the strings out of my mouth and make a little pile on my plate. Apologies to other diners. The white cheddar cavatappi tasted like pasta covered with flour paste. Hubby noticed I was leaving it alone so he dug in. I have to admit I laughed at the expression on his face... especially since he normally loves pasta. Vinland - I know you can do better! read more

The setting is beautiful and very friendly servers. The wine was much better than other local wineries. The food was a solid 3.5-4 out of 5.

Made reservations for 2pm on Sunday - first couldn't find the location as GPS takes you to a residence - had to call for better directions. When arrived, although very empty, they were not ready for us. Then they gave our reservation to a couple that walked in without reservations, when they realize, they made them get up and return to lobby and gave their table to us! We finally were sat for our 2pm reservation at 240pm. Our waitress seemed to not wish to be there and had a poor attitude. She argued with us over the menu stating they were only serving brunch (which ended at 2pm, over 40 minutes ago) and we were ordering lunch - she took our menus to see if chef could accommodate our order for lunch? came back to table stating she didn't realize how late it was and that we could order lunch but not brunch. We order an appetizer, deviled eggs. Sue came back, they were all out (how long does it take to boil more eggs?). So we skipped appetizer and prefer main course and drink. She left and then returned saying it wasbt our day - they were out of Two-Hearted beer. I could understand if they had several beers on tap that you might not realize if a beer ran out- but they only offer 2 beers - how do you not know the one of the two you offer is out especially when yo only been open 4.5 hours? At this point we stood up and left. As we exited there a large amount of people were now waiting on line and the hostess stated they can't get enough people to work there - so with only 4 tables sat they not had a 30-45 minute wait! This place is doomed if they do not figure it out fast. They we're overwhelmed with less than a third of their tables seated, their bar was overran with only 8 people seated in a Sunday - wait to summer starts!! When ended up going to Arenas and had great food and service. We will never go back to vinland! Been a long time since such a bad dining experience! read more

It took me three visits to realize that the big metal vats behind the glass wall are a sham. They are really mixing bottom shelf vodka with Great Value grape juice and calling it "wine". Not only that, but they take your credit card without giving you a bill and double charge you hoping that you are too tipsy to notice. After they charged our card, the bill was questioned and a corrected bill was given to us like we should thank them for correcting their mistake. If you choose to eat there, ask for a bill BEFORE they swipe your card. Look around people and think about it. You can't buy any bottles of wine in the gift shop and there are no vineyards close by. If you really want to visit a winery, make the trip North to Country Heritage or South to Oliver. Bottom line, Vinland is a sham looking to prey on its customers. read more

The food is great and has options for picky eaters too. The wine is smooth and they have options for every type of wine. Atmosphere is good and kids are welcome. The only thing is I think the service needs some work, along with the speed of delivery. Also, the steaks came out different temperatures despite us getting the same. Stopped here when out for a drive, on the recommendation of family. Great atmosphere, modern, and high end cabin feel too. Outside dining area was comfortable looking. The service was friendly, attentive, informative and fast. The food was very good. The menu is not extensive, but choices should provide something for most everyone, and the food was served hot. We will happily go back. It is a little pricey, but I am completely OK with that if the food is good and served hot.
