My experience with Vintage Plumbing Services LLC was very disappointing. The technician came to my home to inspect a toilet issue and, after his evaluation, reported to the home warranty company that the problem was caused by an "accident." This is completely false. There was no accident and no prior attempt to repair it. When I contacted him to ask for an explanation, he claimed that "someone had tried to fix it," essentially implying that I was being dishonest. This kind of accusation is completely unacceptable. Beyond being inaccurate, this behavior shows a total lack of professionalism and integrity. As a customer, you expect honesty and an accurate diagnosis, not assumptions or misleading reports that can affect your warranty coverage. I definitely do not recommend their services. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service experience. First American Home Warranty assigned them to our claim. If they get assigned to you demand another contractor. Showed up at our home and looked at our tub and left without even opening the access panel after it was pointed out to them saying they didn't have access to make repairs. They sent a picture to FAHW but cutoff the ACCESS panel on the side of the tub. Reported that we needed a tile contractor to remove marble trim along the entire back of the tub and the end piece of marble that was directly attached to my shower meaning I would have to uninstall my shower glass, demo part of the shower so that these geniuses would have access to replace the handheld spray hose and repair the cold water faucet that had a slow drip. We submitted a video and picture showing the manifold that the spray hose connected to was at THE FRONT of the tub right inside the ACCESS panel and Vintage still insisted that they couldn't proceed even after we told them that another plumber looked at the pics and said it would be no problem. Vintage said "the hard part is is (sic) getting the new hose in from the corner back to the manifold. Look how small the hole is that the hose goes through what did the plumber say about getting the new hose in?" This is from an alleged "Master Plumber"! We hired a different contractor who came out and replaced the spray hose literally in 2 minutes and is replacing the leaking cartridge that he also accessed through the access panel in about 10 minutes. When I texted the "master plumber" back to thank him for wasting hours of my time on the phone arguing with FAHW that Vintage didn't know what the hell they were doing they responded "congratulations". What an absolute joke of a company. 1 star is being generous. read more

Absolutely terrible and no accountability. Used them thru home warranty service. Did more damage than when we started and could have flooded my house. Didn't want to come back to fix the damage he caused. Took about 4 weeks of back and forth to address an issue he couldn't fix and just caused more damage. Called my previous plumber, and he fixed the issue with "unavailable" parts that was widely available in 15 minutes for less than $200. Nice people, just absolutely terrible service, lack of experience and knowledge. read more

We had to call the warranty company again for a problem with our sink, and they assigned us Vintage. Alex was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient in his work. Extremely incompetent and untrustworthy service. This company has come to my home three times through First American Home Warranty and every single time they've misdiagnosed very simple plumbing issues: 1. Claimed there was no issue at all, yet the leak continued for weeks and caused major ceiling and wall damage. 2. Said a routine clog required major tile and floor removal--completely unnecessary. 3. Claimed my brand new water heater "needed regular maintenance," which was not covered by the warranty service. They proceeded to quote me $600 for the service and said it would "100% fix the matter", which did not fix the issue at all. Replacement of the pilot still cost another $400. Each visit feels like the same pattern: collect the warranty service fee, give a misleading diagnosis, try to "upsell" a service I don't need, and then rush off to the next job. None of the issues were fixed, and I've had to deal with the damage and additional costs on my own. I've contacted their management, but they dismiss all concerns and defend this behavior. Based on my experience, I question whether these are licensed plumbers at all. This company cannot be trusted. read more

I recently hired your services to replace and bring my hot water heater up to code, and unfortunately, the work did not meet the agreed-upon standards. The vent was not installed out of the roof, the drain line tube was not replaced, and subpar parts were used for the repairs. If I could give zero stars I would. DONT NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are unprofessional, liars and have no clue what there are doing. they were sent out by my warranty company. The misdiagnosed a leak. cut throw my ceiling said they were fixing the leak and they cause a huge waterfall causing thousands of dollars worth a damage. the called a restoration company to come clean and once the damage was accessed and was told how severe they quickly fired the company. As others have shared this is company is dishonest. They came to my home through my home warranty company to fix a kitchen sink with no water flow. I was told by Vintage Plumbing that my pipes needed to be replaced. I would need to remove my cabinets, upper and lower, and counters on one side of the kitchen. They would have to dig several feet, etc to replace pipes. Essentially gut my kitchen, and pay several thousand dollars. I got a second opinion after chatting with a neighbor. After checking he told me to order a $10 under sink valve and new faucet part from Amazon. He put the part in, water flow problem fixed! For a few dollars! Passing this story on so others don't get taken advantage of. read more

I should have written this review in April 2024, because that was my first encounter with Vintage. Sorry for the procrastination I had a plumber come by way of home warranty and he told me pipes need to be replaced I requested a second opinion and paid for a third quote out of pocket. Vintage was the cheapest and I chose them I am glad I did because Kyle was patient and professional with me; showing me pictures of the pipes and explained in detail what the needed to done Also received a warranty . Next encounter was in Dec This time I needed my water heater cleaned out, haven't had it done yet waiting on the money from family but the amout is reasonable but I don't have it at this time. Next was today (2/6/25). Again, I requested Vintage and Kyle came again, and it took him a short time to unstop my toilet and check my garage disposal which had started back working. From now, if I need plumbing I will continue to tell my warranty to call Vintage and to send Kyle. Also, thank you Lynn and Levi. read more

My hot water heater went out. Centerpoint came out and said that I had a small leak in the valve control box. THAT THE PLUMBER WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DETECT IT WITH HIS WATER BOTTLE. He turned off the gas! Lynn called from VINTAGE Plumbing. Real nice when they want the job. Sent Zach out. Showed him the CTPoint paperwork. He said he would fix where the leak was. Hot water went out again 32 days later. I called Lynn back. She said that it was out of warranty. I called Center point back out, and he detected the same leak. SHUT GAS OFF AGAIN. Called Lynn and told her that the leak was never repaired that it needed a new valve control box or thermal coupling... Now she won't even take my call..or return voice messages.. Had to have a different company come out to put a new valve control box.. All I wanted is for them to refund the service call fee.. Unprofessional and a sham!! All the inconvenience AND a GAS LEAK... BUT HE LIED AND SAID IT WAS FIXED!!! SMH. RUN. DON'T WALK FROM VINTAGE PLUMBING! 10 year customer with OneGuard. Water heater started leaking. They assigned Vintage Plumbing who came out and diagnosed as tank rupture and need to replace water heater with a new one. OneGuard told me it would be $850 additional for "modifications". All materials are covered (except the drain pan), just the water lines, gas line, vent tube and drain line needed to be modified for the new water heater and new drain pan added. I used to work in construction when younger so I know quite a bit about this stuff. The water lines connecting the supply lines to the water heater are flex lines. No modifications needed. The gas line is a flex line. No modification needed. The vent tube is in good condition and does bot need to be replaced or modified. I already bought a new drain pan for $18 that will work. The drain line is PVC and in my experience, easy to modify. The $850 is obviously a standard upcharge between OneGuard and Vintage Plumbing. Unknowing people probably just pay it thinking its justified. This is a typical scam designed to squeeze more $$ from people who don't know better. Car repair shops do this kind of scam all the time. Avoid both of these companies. I will be switching to a more reputable warranty company soon. Vintage Plumbing should be ashamed of themselves trying to take advantage of people like this. read more

I was able to fix my hot water heater myself for around $50.00. I flushed the sediment out which only added up to about a 1/4 cup and replaced the bad element. It did take some time to completely drain the hot water heater but the diagnosis that Zack told my warranty company was completely wrong. Had Vintage Plumbing come out twice this past week which was set up through my warranty FAHW for two separate issues, Kyle was sent out both times. He kept us updated on arrival times, was polite, informative, and fixed the issues he could (thank you so much) and what he couldn't he was quick to get us scheduled for what was needed so we can get back to normalcy quickly. He also helped keep our cost low and got our warranty to cover more than I thought they would so out of pocket expense wasn't what I feared it would be. Will definitely be asking for Kyle personally if we need help in the future. read more

We just had Kenneth come out to fix our toilet via our AHS home warranty service. I was worried at first because of some of the reviews here. I had called AHS and they informed me that the company has a AAA rating on their end. The refill of the water tank was slow and took forever. Well you would think that First American would see how bad this company is. But I think that they use them to deny claims anyway so I cancelled First American and I am now stating How bad these guys are! Did not even try to diagnose the problem with Water heater. Just took pictures to prove why the home warranty company would not cover anything. I called out ABACUS PLUMBING which lit the heater right away and gave the diagnosis of suffocation due to heat and debris. With all the bad reviews I think I dodged a bullet. They responded very quickly and set up a time for service but after that we did not hear from them. No answer at the main number and left 2 messages. 5 hours later they responded . We cancelled and had another company come out. This was considered an emergency. We were told we would be a priority early in the morning. Obviously we were not. Believe the other bad reviews. this company was sent out by my home warranty. He came in my home with a flashlight and nothing else. How do you assess the plumbing issues with looking at the affected area? He went directly to replacing pipes and charging $485.00 to run the snake through roof clean out. Then stated he would send the roof clean out through the home warranty company but did not send the diagnosis to them. First American Home Warranty assigned Vintage to address our slowly leaking hot water heater in the attic. Several years ago I had installed leak detectors in the drip pan as well as by sinks, etc. Since leak was slow, I had the leak alarm monitoring and I would be able to shut off water supply it was urgent but not an emergency. They responded the next day and determined the heater needed to be replaced - since it was late in the day said they couldn't bring the new one until the following morning - which they did; said unlikely there would be a major leak anytime soon. Following day as promised they returned with a commercial grade replacement - same capacity but better specs on reheating. Installed the new one & hauled off the old one; redid the piping as needed to connect the new unit. In the process they accidently damaged the insulating stair cover - the owner was very quick to get me a replacement - at no charge to me - and made sure I received it. New water heater works fine & no leak! Note, under the terms of our Home Warranty, the cost of re-piping, etc. is not covered, in talking with the Home Warranty people Vintage's price (which was quoted before repairs) was on the low end. First class service! and reasonable price. read more

I used my home owners insurance. I called on a Friday evening. I received an email that Vintage Plumbing was assigned to me. At that time, I googled their reviews. I was NOT happy about their reviews. I had high hopes that some other company was going to come service my plumbing issues because I was not contacted on Friday or Saturday. Sunday, someone called me and said, they were coming Monday between 12 and 4pm. William arrived at my home, on time and with his MASK on. I was super happy about that. I showed him the slow draining sink in the kitchen, the loud toilet that had to be flushed multiple times, and a bathroom clogged sink. I asked him, if it would be ok... If I left him for a minute. I went in my yard for a few minutes, while returning inside.... Mr William had fixed all 3 issues!!! I was absolutely excited. I waited 2 weeks to write this review. Vintage Plumbing was great. Vintage Plumbing did not take my co-pay, but I will just pay online. 5 STARS for a job well done. read more

Update on 3/11/19: Levi, the owner of Vintage Plumbing, contacted me about a month ago stating he had seen my Yelp review. He apologized profusely stating that the technician that was sent to our home was not a good representation of his company or the craftsmanship Vintage Plumbing should be producing. Levi offered to send another technician out to fix our issues on our time and is having a 3rd party carpet cleaner come out to clean the affected area in the home. Zach, the technician from Vintage Plumbing, was professional, knowledgeable, and clean. Zach even took his shoes off in the house (I didn't have to say anything). He performed all the tasks correctly and fixed all of the issues. His performance compared to the previous technician was far superior and did not go unnoticed. Levi made sure not only that Vintage Plumbing fixed the issues with the water heaters but took it a step further. If this is how Vintage Plumbing normally works, then they are more than welcome to our house again. read more

And then he told us you need a new water heater but lied on the report saying that water was shut off and caused it. so the claim was denied. I understand why the person came and went so fast, they saw construction company working next door and assumed it was the cause and denied it and got my $85 call fee. this place is ridiculous and liars. I asked FAHW to tell me what proof they have that my water was cut off? bc it wasn't, unfortunately these people are are terrible and not worth your blood pressure rising. I have never left a yelp review before but I was so impressed with this company that I am leaving a review. Their customer service is amazing. We left a message on a Friday night that our water heater was going out and we received a call back on a SUNDAY setting up a Monday appointment. wow! the owner of the company, Levi, was involved throughout the whole job, texting me with updates on parts etc and continued this great customer service and correspondence until the jobs were done and we were 200% satisfied. I've never experienced customer service like this before from the owner/manager of a trade company. The technicians that Levi sent out to do our water heaters and shower jobs were experts in their plumbing specialty areas and did excellent jobs. I am so appreciative of them all and would recommend them to anyone! read more

Sent out by my warranty company, they completely missed the cause of the leak under the sink indicating that the faucet sprayer was cracked. The plumber (and I use that term loosely) claimed he would have to order the $24 part and left. Warranty company called and said the plumber reported the 15 year old sprayer was cracked by other than normal wear and tear (huh? It was leaking around the gasket when the water was on, not a crack and it wasn't the source of the drip under the sink when the water wasn't on). I called at the suggestion of my warranty company but they never returned the call. Not the way to do business. And while I understand the warranty company's role in coverage, it is the report of the plumber that defines what the issue is and whether it's in their scope. This report was blatantly incorrect and went so far as to say the "crack" was caused by excessive force (I'm 65, wish I had it in me regardless that's not where the leak was). The failure to return the call certainly wasn't the warranty company either. So I suggest you take your plumbing needs elsewhere. read more

This company is horrible and service is very poor, they give false report/diagnoses to cause denials. My warranty company referred them and they came out and did an incorrect diagnosis we requested the tech to come back and do another diagnosis the tech did a no call no show twice. He didn't show on Friday or Monday. Which caused me and my family to be without hot water and heat for a week. I have small infants and the temperatures are between 45-53 degrees outside. I'm constantly lighting my gas fire place and oven to keep the house warm. I will never recommend this company to anyone. The tech was very rude inconsiderate and unprofessional read more

I submitted a claim with my home warranty company on Sunday am; the company called me that afternoon to schedule my appointment for the next day between 1:30-5:00; I got a phone call from the plumber (Kenneth) about 1:40 that he was enroute and would be here in about 10 minutes; after he came in and looked he asked to use my garage access so he didn't have to bring his equipment through the entire house.
