Oh where do I begin? The entire process gets a F grade from me. The highlights are...there was stagnant water left in my pool for weeks. There was cement left on the flooring and these guys decided to fill my pool up with water without fixing the issue even after I raised concerns several times , so the contractor had one of his guys dive in the pool to try and remove it with a wire brush...a disaster. I had the pool decking done and in less than a year and a half, it's peeling up. I have contacted them on several occasions and have been told by Scott that they will get to me soon. That was in December. I've called at least 3 times to get in touch with a manager and have yet to receive a call back. You will be impressed by the sales guy and disappointed by the work and response to your inquiries. I spent $20k on this and it has been one of my biggest regrets. I will update to let you all know if they actually fix my issue....I'm doubtful. Update...since posting this review....instead of explaining why my decking looks this way...they sent an email. Their "warranty" is good for 1 year. I spent $20k plus for a one year warranty. I've lived in this house for 13 years without issues with my decking. I've had this new decking for a year and a half and this is what I get. Last note...they didn't have the decency to take my calls. The company's representative, Scott was very responsive and answered all my questions. Hard working and extremely polite. It was too bad that we had to go with another company to do the pebble tec. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of companies authorized to do pebble tec. The experience I had with them throughout the estimate process was great and the price for the quartz was more than reasonable. If you don't have to do pebble tec, I would recommend them. read more

Take a look at the photos and you can see the original patterns in the quartz finish. This expansive issue was from a porky mixed Friday pour. This was a really professional job! It was completed on-time, correctly, and the pool is absolutely like new! Tom and his team communicated all the time, and kept me updated on the project. I hired them to re-plaster my aging pool. It was looking pretty bad, with lots of missing plaster. They would clean up the jobsite daily, and hauled away all the debris. His workers are all employees of the company, and not just hired off the street. They were careful not to destroy the yard with all the equipment and countless trips in and out of the yard. Overall, I was extremely happy with the entire project, the price was better than I had estimated, and the results are amazing. They buffed out my tile instead of replacing it, and it looks brand new. The final result was a beautiful, brand-new looking pool! Super happy and highly recommend them for your pool project. I spoke with Gerald re: problems with the pool heating system. He gave me an appointment time for Thursday from 11am - 2pm. He didn't show up and didn't call. When I spoke to him later that day, he said he forgot to put me on their schedule. He gave me a 2nd appointment for Saturday at 8am. AGAIN, NO SHOW, NO CALL! BEWARE!! The salesman, Chris Pocino, that showed up at my house to give me an estimate came right on time and gave an accurate description of the job and laid out the costs clearly and effectively. He was also very customer friendly and elicited a practiced and professional manner. I was in the process of gathering quotes for my pool re-plaster project and sure enough Chris's quote came in the lowest and so they got the work. I have had some issues with contractors for home projects here in Las Vegas and I am very happy to say that Nationwide Pool, and Chris Pocino, in particular was not one of them. Their teams stuck to the schedule that was laid out initially, their personnel were professional and explained the steps in their process clearly and effectively. And (most importantly) the price at the end of the job matched the quote at the beginning. This was a project that needed to be done out of necessity not out of vanity and therefore I wasn't looking forward to shelling out the money to have it done. That being said I am happy to support local small businesses here in Vegas and I am very pleased with the fact that Nationwide was the company that I went with. We would definitely recommend Nationwide Pools! Mike designed the most amazing pool/spa and backyard for us. He was always professional and responsive. He answered every question and helped navigate us through the entire process. We had never built a pool before, and have a big yard and really didn't have a design in mind only few ideas. We gave him those ideas of a couple things we'd like to have...a fire pit, pool/spa, swim deck and a water feature. Mike designed the MOST beautiful backyard resort paradise that incorporated all of our ideas including an area to play corn hole! All of the guys that worked on our property were nice and helpful. They were definitely the BEST of the BEST. All of our neighbors have said how great our design looks and how timely it was completed...it wasn't without minor delays or hiccups but nothing compared to the months of delays our neighbors experienced with other builders. We had Jordan come out two years ago and he was quick with setting up an appointment and getting us a quote out all within a week. Covid hit, so we had to put it on standstill. So we reached back out with CADs they had done prior. We did need to make some changes, so Mike and John came out back in late January to do another estimate. 5-6 emails, messages later, still no quote. I reached out to Beka to see if someone else could give us a quote, she stated only Mike could do it. After 4 emails to Mike and John, Mike responded on March 12th that he would get the quote done. We still have not heard anything. Mike stated they were busy, I get it. We planned to start this fall so we would still have a pool over the summer. We wanted to make sure we wanted to settle on the estimate and get a spot to start early fall. I did state that to Beka as well. This is so frustrating. I've reached out to so many pool reno companies and no one will call back. I get people are busy. But a quick, "Hey, we can't do this, we're fully booked" is all I need. Holding out for 2 months with little to no response is a letdown. And I will say, I suppose it's better if they can't give me a quick reply and I know that now. I'm glad they won't be working on a massive project for our home if they are not responsive. Owning a company is hard. I get it, we own a small business. Each time we cannot help a client inquiring, we refer them to someone else so they're not left hanging. read more

I highly recommend Nationawide Pool. I had my pool redone this summer in a record two weeks. That included Jack hammering and removal of two layers of plaster when the weather was 110° as well as the initial removal of a fiberglass coating. New tile was then installed. The workmen were prompt and overall supervision and follow up was outstanding. read more

Horrible experience with these guys. I requested someone to troubleshoot my filter which was not priming. John explained the price to have someone out there is $180. The technician arrived and identified the issue. The technician said it requires parts so they will provide an estimate and we can apply all or part of the $180 towards the next time estimate. Considering nothing was resolved and he was only here a few minutes, I thought this was fair. I call John to explain. When I bring up what his technician said, he dismisses my question and escalates into an argument. At this point, he's yelling that we (customers) are always trying to take advantage of him. He ends his rant with "So what do you want to do"? I said stop yelling at me. I'm just repeating what your technician told me. I'd still like the estimate on the job you started. His response was that he was "done" and he's had enough and hung up. Apparently, this was the owner. He made a point of telling me that in mid-rant. DON'T WALK AWAY. Signed our contract on March 2nd, with a estimate start date of April 12th. TODAY IS MAY 14th and still not even the HOA Pool Design Paperwork done. We talked to Roy Rivera initially. He showed up to our appointment and everything was okay, until he never sent us the designs when you the time he said he would send them out. After we finally received design and gave the ok, he came to our house to sign the contract. If it wasn't because we called him a month after to see what's going on he never would have been in communication with us. Then we called him again only for him to be surprised we haven't got the HOA paperwork in our emails. It seems that every time we talked to him something bad happened to him because it was always excuses. We are paying so much money for our pool to only be begging them to give us updates. When I called to complain and to see if we can work with someone else, they referred us with Mike Simpson. He told my husband that BY NOW WE SHOULD HAVE HAD AT LEAST THE EXCAVATORS WORKING IN OUR POOL. That was two days ago and still waiting for his signature so we can turn in the HOA paperwork. I'm just hoping we can get released from that contract and get our inicial payment back. We are really disappointed since a friend of ours recommended them and now it seems we will not have a pool this year. read more

Avoid Nationwide Pools. I've held this review for a month, hoping Nationwide would do the right thing and complete the unfinished work, and fix the broken concrete. They haven't, so now we're working with an attorney to be made whole for the contracted work. The salesman that came initially appeared to be quite good. He definitely said all the right things. Then, we signed the contract and he disappeared for quite some time, eventually citing a story about a nightmare family event in Houston, with battles between family members. Pool work started two weeks after he indicated it was scheduled for. When the chippers did show up, they damaged our decking with their grinders in several places. They did good work, but again, they damaged our deck, and damaged the rings that hold our lights in place. Nationwide assured us they'd replace the rings and ensure the lights were working before water went in. The tile setters were amazing. Great guys, good work, and when an error was made, the rep from Nationwide insisted the bad work should be acceptable and "no one would notice." Well, we noticed, and the tilesetter agreed the work was shoddy, and he agreed the work should be torn out, and redone. It ended up beautiful, except it cracked in two places within a week The tile workers even took a few minutes out to teach me how to properly set the concrete for future repairs. The plasterers had schedules all over the place, making it impossible to schedule water delivery. Eventually, the tile setters that weren't responsible for the plaster, called us with the schedule that Nationwide should have provided. Meanwhile, Nationwide's rep came to re-connect the lights that the chippers had taken out of the wall. He did not have a new ring to replace the damaged one, instead, he'd polished and bent the damaged one to what he felt was acceptable. I told him I was disappointed, as both Leslie's and Fresh Pools had a proper replacement ring. He insisted they didn't, and that he'd been "all over town trying to find one." I drove to Fresh, bought a replacement ring ($65.00), and brought it back, along with a fresh gasket. I handed it to him, only to hear him say "that ring won't fit." Except according to Pentair, it is the replacement model for the ring his chipping crew damaged. I think he just wanted us to accept the crappy, damaged ring. Then, he put the pool light back together. He used a weird, small gasket vs the OEM replacement specified by Hayward. I had the OEM replacement that Hayward specifies, but he didn't want to use it. "Those are too hard to install," he says. At the time, we warned him that we'd had problems with that same cheap gasket, two years prior. He assured us it would be fine. It wasn't, but more on that later. The plasterers eventually showed up a day after expected. They did the work, installed the lights in the spa, and left. They did a great job, other than leaving quite a mess in our grass (which killed a large section). The real trouble came when we began asking questions about when to open the pool, chemistry, etc. Then we noticed our filter was leaking. Then, we noticed our lights were not working. In short, a tremendous amount of damage was done to the pumps, lights, filter, and we asked Nationwide to send a manager vs our absentee rep who had disappeared two months previous. Their local manager showed up and was argumentative from the start, telling us "You didn't contract us for the lights, you didn't contract us for the lighting installation, and you didn't contract us to repair your filter (all of which were working properly prior to the start of this project, and throughout the project). The Nationwide rep opened our electrical box and without any conversation, flipped on breakers attached to wiring, not knowing what breaker lead to what circuit. Brilliant. We had removed the switches from the breaker box because we were concerned that the constantly tripping breaker was affecting the smart switches, and didn't want to continually receive notifications from the switches. The manager became confrontational about the switches because "he wanted to see for himself that the lights weren't working." Does one really think we'd complain about working lights? He then began railing that the light bulbs we gave them to install required a special gasket and that's why the lights were leaking (they weren't). He insisted the lights weren't working because "they use special gaskets that we didn't provide (they don't)." He also insisted that because we didn't buy the lights, rings, gaskets from them, they "had no responsibility to fix the lights that they had uninstalled, and then re-installed." Further, it is Nationwide's perspective that they "repaired the bad concrete work at their expense because the client was unhappy." Not quite. Even the tile setter and concrete foreman pointed out that the work was shoddy, and a weak piece of stainless had bent under the weight of the concrete, END OF PART ONE. read more

Scott came out and did a estimate on pool renovation. From the moment he steeped in property he was, friendly, honest and very personable. His estimate was very reasonable. He ensures me throughout the experience his job was to make me feel comfortable and out I had any questions he would be very happy to assist. With all this positive said, I can not say anything negative about the company or Scott, We were in need in a timely matter and we 100% would have went with Nationwide. The estimate too approximately a week so we went with someone else 2 days before receiving the estimate. This is not a bad thing. They are very busy and have a great reputation in the Las Vegas valley and with this said, a company outlasting most says a lot . I suggest calling Nationwide for an estimate and dealing with Scott. Keep on mind they are very busy but you will be happy w service and by the other reviews the final outcome of your pool project. read more

After getting several bids from other reputable pool builders we decided to go with Nationwide. The unique shape of our backyard created some design challenges. Although Nationwide wasn't the cheapest bid, they had the best design and ultimately it exceeded their proof of concept even after we had a few change orders.   We couldn't be happier with the design, construction, features, installation, cleanliness, OUTSTANDING finishing crew (tile, stone, and deck), attention to detail, and EXCELLENT customer service exceeded all our expectations!  I would defiantly recommend Nationwide to anyone looking to build the pool of their dreams. We contracted in January, 2021, with Nationwide Pool for a pool and spa remodel, including new tiles, new white pool plaster, decking redo and size increase, and a shallow end of the pool made deeper. The work was completed in August, 2021. We were promised a 6-8 week delivery date and instead waited 28 weeks for the completion, missing many months of summer enjoyment. We never imagined it would take that long. Days and weeks would go by with no work done. Our sales rep, Chris, often would not have an answer. On the last day of work on our pool, Chris told us he would no longer be working for Nationwide because he took a job with another pool contractor. He said that if we had any warranty issues, we should call the office and they will take care of these issues. In October, 2021, we contacted the owner, Jon, by phone to express our concern for three problem areas that are under warranty...missing grout and silicone around some tiles, tiles that were not cleaned off by the plasterer that have a hard-to-remove film, and dirt on the pool bottom and walls that will not brush off so the new white plaster always looks dirty and stained. The new plumbing design included 2 less in-floor cleaners and a main drain relocation, which has created several new large dead areas. Jon hung up on us as he said we were not being honest about the change in pool depth, which is in the contract, and the fewer number of in-floor cleaners that were installed in the new plumbing system, and that we were trying to game the system. This is a very unprofessional response from a business owner whom we are trying to work with to rectify remodeling concerns and problems. We received a phone call the same day from the office assistant asking for pictures of our problem areas, which were promptly sent in, and then a date and time was set for someone to come over to take care of the grout and silicone and tile cleaning. After 10+ no-shows, we bought supplies and filled in the openings and cleaned the tiles that we could reach. Since we now have a new deep end, we could not reach the tiles above the water line. The other problems still need to be addressed and no one from the company has ever come over to see our pool and work out a solution. The pool now has a new deeper end, many large dead areas, a white film on tiles in the deep area that we can't reach to clean, and worst of all, the stained white pool plaster. Our weekly pool cleaner doesn't understand why it looks so bad and has tried many different ways to clean the pool plaster. The chemicals are always checked so they are good. Many neighbors have inquired about our pool contractor's work and looked at the results. They do not want to use Nationwide after seeing our remodel results and the unfinished work. We would never recommend anyone to hire this company as customer service and care are not a priority. We have been ignored since October, 2021, after many phone calls and emails and no-show appointments with no communication. Promises were made to come over to add the silicone or caulk but never addressed the plaster film on the new tiles nor the stained dirty new premium plaster. We made every payment on time and waited patiently for an excessive 28 weeks for completion. Nationwide has not completed its end of the contract. They promised a beautiful pool but will not honor their warranty and have ignored our numerous attempts to resolve these problems. We do not recommend Nationwide Pools. read more

Unreliable sales representative, Chris... had to be called and reminded of initial appointment. When he finally arrived, he quickly took some measurements and then said he'd have a price quote the following week (he stated he had plans to go on vacation first). When the next week arrived with no promised price quote, contacted Chris and inquired if he was going to provide one and he responded, "yes, the next day should have one." Never happened....when texted again to ask, no response. When you have to beg for a price quote and a business doesn't respond...certainly sums up everything you don't want. Red flags everywhere. I understand renovation season is ideally Spring and Fall with Summer skipping due to heat..but if you don't want business, then state so up front so nobody's time is wasted. read more

They redesigned my spa overflow that drops down into the pool. The rock crew was outstanding and gave my pool a new look that has been complimented by neighbors and friends. Nationwide was great; I would highly recommend them I had a very large pool project to redo a large 20 year old pool (plaster, tile, equipment, autofill, skimmer etc etc). I used to work at one of the large casino companies so have some contacts in the construction industry. Nationwide was great during the bidding process, construction process and post construction as well. Due to the size of the project, I received 5 different bids. In terms of price, Nationwide was about in the middle; however the completeness of the bid was the most impressive. In addition, they never tried to oversell me or upsell me (unlike some others). Furthermore, they were very upfront about how long the project would take (2-3 months) which i knew was about right (whereas others were promising weeks). The workmanship, especially the tile work was top notch. Honestly, the tilework is the same quality you find down on the strip. Given, it was a large project, there were a few issues that came up as is the case in any large project. I can't tell you how great they were in trying to solve the 2 or 3 issues we had. Instead of the usual, 'oh thats a change order, now we are going to really jam you (which i have encountered a lot in lv) they were completely transparent and really worked with me to solve the issue. Before i hired them, i was a little hesitant as they have a few bad reviews, so I really did a lot of diligence on them, went to see 6 (yes six) of their other projects before selecting them. I am glad i did. Hopefully you will read this review, choose them, and be as happy as i was with their work. They weren't the cheapest or the fastest, but they were the best! read more

My elderly parents had them do a chlorine wash and signed up for monthly service. They were supposed to do a service on the filters but never showed for the appointment. They do not communicate AT ALL if they will be late, etc. They were suppised to come out and add chemicals to the water after refilling from the wash. The service tech did not show during the scheduled time. We are assuming he was here because he left the cover off of the sewer drain. But again, no call, no text or note left to tell us what he had done. Needless to say, we cancelled the monthly service. read more

don't let the happy reviews fool you. the salesman scott is great & wants to make you happy. HOWEVER. the 1st fellow that showed up to drain the pool left bad equipment, put the hose over the fence instead of under it, the hose came off at some point; and my husband was out at midnight reconnecting and fixing it. the guys who came to blast off the old plaster did not have the tool to take out the cleaning pop-ups so they were out there with 2 screwdrivers prying them up leaving dents in them; they left our hose filthy and the nozzle all scuffed up. they brought a grinder to take old plaster off near the tile in the water, but it broke & blue plaster was left all along the bottom. my husband spent 2 hours cleaning it off himself. jon & carlos arrive one day to survey the job; jon is very patronizing and talked to us like we were stupid. and he's the kind of guy that has to keep touching you so you think he's paying you alot of attention. in a bar that would get him a whack; i was close. the shining star is carlos and his brother pablo who do tile work, paint, and cool decking. they are amazing. too bad they can't do it all. one day another guy showed up, didn't tell us his name but it was obvious he was there to work; he just came to look. found out his name was mike, office manager he said; but he didn't bother to introduce himself. during this whole process, we never got a call that they planned to show up on a certain day, or a time; sometimes one guy would tell us the next crew was coming on a certain day, they didn't show up. we called the office numerous times, got becca or another lady who's name i don't recall; and they would tell us none of the managers were in, and she would try to reach them on the phone but couldn't. we would ask to be called back and never got a call. we contracted this in april, and asked for an october 1 start - it was to take 3 weeks; but they didn't even show up until the 5th. the replastering guys did a good job; unfortunately there were 2 divits in the step where i asked them to move decorative turtle tiles to a different place. the group left behind a guy that i asked about fixing, he just said bossman coming. twice. so after a bit, i turned off the water while waiting. after another guy came back, i get a call from jon who tells me not to turn off the water & a big speech about the filling process. i asked him if he would like to know why i turned it off. he said he calls all of his clients to tell them this. (he does not, as our neighbor also had them do their pool, also unhappy). i asked him again. finally he listened and i told him about fixing the divits. he said they would be by to fix it. while i'm on the phone i mentioned there was a big stain on the bottom. jon was very cavalier about it, said that's nothing, we'll come back with a miracle sponge and clean it up. at this point a guy returned to fix the divit, and OH WAIT! he didn't like the looks of the stain and got in to fix it. i'm sure jon's miracle sponge would be just that. this is my favorite part. jon says i should call the next day to discuss shutting off the water and starting the pump. i asked him if he was going to be there since so far we had never been able to reach anyone. again another long speech about how long the phones are manned and answered, times, etc. i said it wasn't that the phone wasn't answered, it was that no one responsible for answers ever took the call. he said they were so busy, had lots of work, and asked me - didn't i think that was a good thing? i said i had no response for that and he hung up on me. very professional. not... a week after they finished, a rust spot appeared. they had to drain the pool almost empty. the guy had a torch to smooth out the plaster once he did the repair, but he didn't have a lighter, so he was dragging the starter on the propane bottle to create sparks to light it. very smart. so after 5 weeks, the pop ups didn't seem to work; nationwide came back to fix them, but charged us. they had to drain the pool AGAIN, costing us more chemicals and water bill. the guy drug the hose across the yard making a mess of our landscaping. and of course we had to clean up all of the cement chips they left behind in our yard. if you have lots of time for your pool work to be done and don't have a phone, this is the perfect company for you. because it will take longer, cost more, and they won't call you. not professional. read more

I must say this was one of the most horrible customer service experiences I've ever had dealing with Nationwide Pools. I contracted with them in October 2020 to do a total remodel. Cool decking was done before the demolition. They got their money in Feb 2021. Popups were discarded with no communication whatsover. A & A the pop up manufacurer was generous enough to provide the pop ups free of charge because I was the original owner and Blue Haven was the installer in 2001 and Heimi the A & A District Mgr in Nevada and Arizona has offered to install. Nationwide has neglected their duties in passing the buck to A & A. Nobody seemed to care once payment was received. Excuses... excuses... read more

I spent 6 grand for new plaster, and since then another 1,000.00 to fix all the things they screwed up. Initial start up wasn't done right away so plaster dust ran through all my equipment and gummed up the valves. I paid to replace them. My remote color changing lights in pool and spa filled up with water when pool was filled and they no longer work. They worked perfect before. Nationwide says their not responsible for the lights. It appears the new white plaster is not adhering to walls because the old blue is showing through. I've had 5 different people (licensed) look at it and all suspect it's the plaster but Nationwide wants me to contact the State licensing board and force them to fix it. I recently had my cool deck repaired and re pained by Nationwide pool. Scott was my advisor very polite nice man who really knows his stuff when it comes to cool deck repair. The weather during the time of having the work done was really bad rain, snow and high winds. For three weeks Scott and his crew came out regardless of weather conditions and got the job done. If there was something I did not like they immediately were on it correcting the problem. I have two dogs they even worked around my schedule to insure that I was not inconvenience and that my dog's were not in their way but safe. Everyone that came out was extremely helpful and nice. This company has been around a long time very reputable and their work comes with a warranty. I highly suggest anyone wanting cool deck work done around their pool to contact Nation Wide Pool you wont be disappointed. read more

These folks are excellent! They keep the pool maintained every week which of course is great. But what really dazzles me is their customer service and prompt, courteous responsiveness. Any time we have a question or issue (we were new to pool life moving here from the midwest so we had lots of questions and were more much needy than your average customer) they were quick to help us.
