Mike's team -- Igor and his brother -- were so positive. They saw every challenge as an opportunity to make the project better. The crew sanded the entire floor three times with finer grits each time, making for a very smooth surface to stain and finish. The stain was furniture-grade, as was the final finish. Let me explain that this was our second attempt to refinish our hardwoods floors. Originally, we went with another company recommended by a neighbor. The estimate was cheaper, and we thought we could save a few bucks. Boy did we make a mistake. We were out of our house for a week, returning only to find a sub-standard job with damage to our house. We were heartbroken, and it was a costly mistake not to go with M.S. Construction Services first. Don't make the same mistake we did -- hire these guys first. When we contacted Mike, he was out of the country, but responded quickly and scheduled his crew for the very next week. They moved all the furniture carefully, and they pulled off all the old shoe-moldings. Then they spent most of the first two days meticulously sanding our entire main level. Then they applied the stain, and this is where the artistry comes in. Igor used a special technique to get the grain of the existing boards to absorb the stain in a way that makes it darker than the surrounding wood -- it really 'pops' and makes the original floors look very high-grade. They not only fixed all the problems created by the previous contractor, M.S. Construction Services came up with elegant solutions to things that had bothered us since we bought the house years ago. Igor carefully carved out a thin layer of the base of our kitchen cabinets to slide the floor register underneath it. It looks so good! I can't stress enough the attention to detail. The shoe moldings they use are high grade, and they cut them to exacting measurements for a perfect fit. They also nail them tight to the wall so little if any caulk is necessary between the two. We wake up every morning and just marvel at the workmanship and the artistry. These are good people who really take pride in their work. We even accidentally overpaid on the final check -- Mike caught it, told us, and allowed us to write a new check for the lower amount. That is integrity. Bottom line: don't hire anyone else, even if you think you might save a little money. You'll regret not going with M.S. Construction Services. We got more than our money's worth!

I really didn't want to deal with it and felt that the current hanging racks just would not work with organizing. I needed everything to be properly put away. Kimberly sold me on Artisan because she is meticulous, detail-oriented and very knowledgeable on the product. She was very clear on what customers did and did not like including her own experience which helped to confirm what I wanted. The install was very smooth and he walked me through how to use the accessories. I did get another option from The Container Store and it very obvious for me to move forward with Kimberly and the design. It was thought out for what I needed and thorough in the measuring to accommodate my space / tools which I was not getting from the competitor. There was no thought there or expansion on my initial ask. Back to the garage, I would have Artisan or my handyman paint the walls. I did have a handyman remove the racks and cover the holes beforehand as I wanted a smooth install, but I didn't have them paint the walls white again. It is not a big deal but a note to anyone else who is on the fence about it. I did have a small work station installed and I did ask about lights or tools to hang right in from of me. I don't think they offer that in their current catalog but I do think that should add in the future. The handy-wall is larger so I don't think it would fit in that space to hang smaller tools. If you are looking for something similar, you may want to design the space to leave that open and do it yourself. I have a garden rack next to it so I do use the lights and the wooden pole to hang a fan. Overall, I am very happy with the final product and the install. I have had a lot of experiences where the sales sold a great experience or tool only for the install to be a mess or disrespectful to your home. So I do dread installs and thankfully that was not an issue here. It was exactly what I wanted and Kimberly and the installer made the experience very easy and stress-fre.

My designer, Samantha, was so professional, helpful and thoughtful. She helped me design our his and hers closets and my laundry room. She thought of things that I didn't consider adding! Husband love his closet and I love, love, mine! It's beautiful and functional. I hated the racks. The design process was seamless and I loved that she provided 3D images the day after the consultation. Also, Samantha answered all my follow up questions before and even after signing the contract. They were reasonable in price and by Nicole and The install took a full day (3 spaces). My installers, Andrew and Sergio, were awesome, worked quietly and efficiently. They did an amazing job bringing the images to life and cleaning the spaces after the install. I needed to make one small adjustment after the install. Samantha submitted the ticket and they took care of it with no issues. I am very happy and I highly recommend the company and Samantha!

Then after arriving for one of our planned layout meetings, we could not see the slab because it was unavailable. After finally having the layout meeting, one part of the backsplash was installed upside down and another part was cut from a different section without notifying us. After so many issues, I shared with them my concerns and they admitted fault and reduced the bill some. I have never written a review before for a product or company (good or bad), but I do not want anyone to suffer this type of customer service that I encountered at MC Granite.

Issues were with defective backsplash, not being cut straight, scratch /gouge in the countertop and polish finish on the bathroom countertop. I was directed and talked to Carlos at the Jasper facility who I was told was the shop manager. Carlos should not be interfacing with customers. He had no intention of resolving the problems and was inclined to perform a Rube Goldberg fix in the field. At one point Carlos told me that the customer is not always right. Our conversation ended shortly after that.

I entered the store and I was the only customer in there. I was stared at upon entrance with absolutely no greeting. No one asked if I needed help, they just went back to what they were doing as if I was an annoyance or a bother to be in their store. I had to go ask for help and when I did they were short and acted as if it was a bother to pull samples. I left with my samples and returned them shortly after. My interior designer ended up going in and ordering the wallpaper for me and when I picked it up upon its arrival they were still rude and unwelcoming. No greeting, just stared at me when I walked in and I was, again, they only person in the whole store. While they have a good selection, but the customer service is horrible and they are not friendly. Really sad for such a small business that has been in Smyrna for so many years. They have a great selection of products but the snap-crackle-pop sound every time we walk on the hardwood still a year later negates the aesthetics. We spent hours spackling holes in the walls, repainting multiple rooms and replacing or painting trim boards. They did not discount our final payment calling the damage part of the process.
