Our server Rob was excellent, personable and warm. His suggestions were spot on and the food is fantastic. Each dish is carefully prepared layers of favor and texture are very addictive. We had quite a few of the happy hour menu items, but we also had one of their pasta dishes. It was a special of the day, pappardelle with ground chicken in a red cream sauce. Delicious! We also enjoyed the oysters, risotto balls (also very good), crispy pork belly complemented by kimchi and brussel sprouts. Loved them all and would have been happy with any of them. We started with the Brussels sprouts, pear and burrata salad and bone marrow. Everything was amazing - particularly the Brussels and salad. Perfect sized portion - not too gigantic but nice to share (there were 4 of us). For dinner - we had the mussels, tuna tartare, short rib entree and charcuterie. The short ribs were fairly traditional and really delicious. The onion rings in the side were a fun and delicious addition. The tuna tartare was fresh and tasty. The mussels were Thai style - Spivey, creamy and sweet! For the charcuterie - I chose the spicy sopprasatta, prosciutto, Camembert, cheddar and black peppercorn Asiago. It was served with a small hunk of honey comb, a few grapes and cranberry raisin bread. The sopprasatta was to die for. The prosciutto was fine but nothing special. The Camembert was to die for - creamy, silky - just perfect. They need a better cheddar. This wasn't as flaky and crumbly as a good cheddar should be. The peppercorn Asiago was fine - also nothing special. They have a great wine selection. For a wine bar - they also had some delicious cocktail suggestions as well. Had an amazing dinner at Vinted with out of town company. Had several apps including the famous truffle risotto balls. They were so impressed. The hummus and fried pita was so delicious and the Brussel sprouts were fried with bacon to perfection. What if my guest had the scallops and really enjoyed them the other guest and I both had a salmon with asparagus and sushi rice. The salmon was cooked perfectly crispy on the top, flaky and moist on the inside. The asparagus mixed with the rice, was such a delicious combination. We had one of the specials for dessert waffle Sunday that we all enjoyed. This vendor and has been coming to Connecticut for seven years and told me this was his favorite restaurant. My daughters birthday dinner was held here, and everything tasted ok. The menu is a bit confusing with Asian flavored meals, Italian flavored, semi southern, very hipster. The charcuterie was good but sparse. The ceviche I had was good. My daughter did not like the rice balls as she's used to arancini and these were not even close. Vinted wine bar is a lovely spot for a casual date night which is exactly what we did upon our visit yesterday. It's really cozy with bar seating immediately when you walk in with additional seating off to the side. We opted to sit on the side and our waiter Bill was very nice, prompt and helpful with the menu and the immense wine selection they offer. We both opted for the wine flights which were three one ounce glasses of any wine of your choice. My wife opted for some whites while I was a little more adventurous and tried two rose' and a very interesting orange wine. We ordered the infamous Brussels sprouts and the pear salad. The Brussels sprouts lived up to the hype and the pear salad was good and I especially liked the cheese although be careful with the black pepper on top of the cheese which is very forward. For our entrees we ordered the salmon with asparagus, rice and kimchi and I ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes and carrots. The short ribs were nice and tender and melted in your mouth. The mashed potatoes were ok but the gravy from the short ribs gave it nice flavor. Overall Vinted is a nice cozy spot with an impressive wine collection that I'm sure wine enthusiasts will enjoy. Came here for the first time on a Friday night, was able to sit at the "bar" section right away which was nice. I did not have to wait long. The staff here was very friendly, they gave helpful and honest recommendations of what to order. For my drink I ordered the expresso martini which I enjoyed. Next time I'll definitely have to try their wines given that it is a wine bar. For an appetizer we ordered the hummus which came with scallion pancakes, it was delicious! I highly recommend trying it out. The scallion pancake made it unique. My only complaint was some of the pieces were too salty but others were just right. We also got an order of the Brussels sprouts which were made with maple butter, bacon and smoked Gouda yummm, also a must have. For my entrée I ordered the 24 hour red wine braised short rib. The meat was very tender and tasty. I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes that it came with. My only complaint with that dish was the "seasonal vegetable" they definitely could've done better then ?Pearl onions and sweet peppers. Perhaps broccoli/asparagus/spinach/vegetable medley. WOW! My partner and I are absolutely stunned by Vinted. We are locals and surprisingly never tried Vinted until recently - man were we missing out! Our biggest highlight was Chris. He was our server and expert bartender who really knew his stuff. My partner is a bourbon fan so he was able to get recommendations and even some education from Chris. I love vinted wine bar. It's right in the heart of Blue Back Square in west hartford and has an amazing happy hour. This trip I had a meat and cheese board of prosciutto, cheddar cheese and blue cheese. They have a variety of meats and cheeses you can make into a charcuterie board. I was stopping in for a quick bite. I generally sit at the bar. Their bartender Chris is great. He is attentive, easy to talk to and just very nice. The restaurant is small, cozy and comfortable. One of my favorite things in the menu is the truffle popcorn. 10/10 recommend. It's delicious and addicting. You will not be able to stop eating it and I've been coming for years specifically for that popcorn. They have a variety of great food and an amazing wine selection. Note: this review is just for the drinks. I've been pretty impressed coming here. They have a huge wine menu with choices for 1 oz pours which is a really nice way to try a lot of different wines before committing to one. Most of the 1oz pours are between $2-$4 so fairly reasonable. Glass prices range but there are plenty of decent wines in the $12-$14 range. The food looks good although I've only had the fries. Fries were great although a small portion for the price. Definitely a more expensive spot than other places in weha. The main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the service. It's been consistently slow the last few times that I've gone, and I've sat in front of empty glasses for 10+ minutes without someone coming over (at the bar, no less). Also, they have these wine dispensers that pour the wine for them, which is cool but it's kinda like, wow these servers are doing truly zero work so what am I tipping them for. Kind of a "sleeper" restaurant in my opinion and I'm so glad I finally got to come check this place out. I've been here twice and both times for happy hour. A place with a good weekend hour is always a plus! 2:30pm to 6:00pm every single day of the week in the bar area of course. I loved this place a lot so let me tell you why! The bar area and the dining area are identical in size. This place is known as a "wine bar" so they have SO many on display and it adds a really nice touch. I love the mature vibe and aura this place gave off. Staff: Very mature, sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. I believe our bartender's name was Mary and she was so much fun. She made some great wine suggestions as we sat at the bar. I can't remember our server's name, but the service was excellent all over the restaurant. Food: We started off with an order of the pork ribs from the happy hour menu. You get an order of 2 and they were delicious. I loved them and we ordered a 2nd set because they were that good. I also gave their meatballs a try, but I don't seem to see them on the menu anymore for some reason. Weird, but oh well. I'd love to explore the rest of the menu when I get the chance to come back. The meatballs were fire by the way... that means delightful. Lol. Value: Decent... but it's West Hartford. Happy hour wines range from $6.00 to $9.00 depending on what you want. There are a few beers to choose from that are $4.00 and also a slew of spirits for $5.00. Those are pretty good deals. The food gets just a bit pricey for the the portion sizes that you get. The ribs were $8.00 for the pair that you get. Worth it though. I can't remember the price of the meatballs, but I'm assuming it was similar and you also get 2 of those. In conclusion I feel like the happy hour food here is designed to be for snack or purely appetizers. It's not like other places where you can load up on the appetizers and boom, there's dinner... without breaking the bank of course. I'd love to check out some of the entrees on their real menu!
