We went to this place a couple times for their pizza which is nice, but one night we had wanted to try their pasta dishes. In short, don't. I ordered their stuffed shells and as I was eating them they tasted a bit off. I asked if they made them in house, but they told me they get them shipped in frozen. Sorry, but when I go to a restaurant and pay for dinner, I don't expect someone to microwave some frozen freezer burnt pasta. I expect fresh. Especially when I go to a sit down restaurant. Maybe my expectations were too high for a pizza joint. The only reason they're getting 2 stars and not 1 is because of their pizza and the waitress who was honest with us. Other than that I don't know if we will be returning. I can buy my own bag of frozen stuffed shells at Publix for half the price of what they're charging for two measly, tasteless stuffed shells if I'm really craving preprocessed garbage. read more

We really loved our experience at Vinzo's! I've been looking for a delicious Italian place, but hadn't found one in the area! This was the perfect combo of relaxed environment and kid-friendly and also clean and nice dining experience. We ordered chicken parm, cheese pizza and tiramisu! All delicious. The pizza was spectacular! Also, the garlic knots were so tasty! It brought back a lot of memories of the Italian food I loved when I grew up. The service was also very warm and friendly. Wow. Great atmosphere. Amazing food. Good service. Came here to avoid the trick or treaters coming to my door. My friend and I had no idea how enjoyable of a meal we would have. She had the Sausage and Mushroom al Forno. I had the chicken bruschetta. Both were delicious. The house salad was cold and crisp with a variety of greens, red onions, shredded carrots, black olives (I think I recall some purple cabbage). We chose the house balsamic for dressing. The garlic knots were great too. The entrees were a generous size and we both brought home left overs. I look forward to coming back and trying some other enticing entrees from the menu. read more

To begin with, the staff was so sweet. Everyone was welcoming. I had a hard time picking out a meal because of all the great options. I ended up getting the chicken Alfredo, which was was fresh and flavorful. Everything tasted authentic and their rolls are addictive! I purchased a voucher on groupon and I'm so happy I did!! This review will focus on the take out aspect of Vinzo's restaurant, though I will comment on things such as restaurant appearance, cleanliness, and the quality of the food I've ordered. Vinzo's is a clean restaurant, whose interior reminds me of an Italian villa. Lots of stone and wood colors contribute to a comfortable feel. Food pickup is done in the back at the cash register. They have a fan/heater combination that is turned on to add to the comfort of the guests. I always see cold water with cucumber or mint, in a dispenser that you are free to have. I think this is a nice touch. I'm a creature of habit and usually get the Deluxe pizza, in either 16 or 21 inch sizes. The pizza is excellent! It is not overly greasy and the bottom of the pizza is nice and dry. The vegetables are fresh and the meat toppings are not salty. The sauce is a little sweet, but not too much. The dough is well made and the crust is not too thick. I especially enjoy the convenience of ordering through GrubHub via the Yelp website for Vinzo's. The wait staff/service staff have always been friendly and well mannered. Bottom line: Would I eat here again? -Often. read more

One of our favorite little Italian restaurants in the north Orlando area with an intimate atmosphere tucked away on the intersection of 2 major roads - something you don't even feel while inside. My wife and I have frequented about 3 or 4 times now and each time the food is delicious. You can tell they really take time to prepare each plate. There are two main appetizers we always look forward to: 1. The Garlic Knots - my wife is always afraid she's going to eat too many, so we limit it to just what they bring out. 2. Vinzo's Cheesy Dip - you'll learn quite quickly that you run out far too fast as you continue to enjoy it until there isn't an ounce left. From there, Entree's are normally a hit. I'm a fan of the Chicken Calabrese and the Salmon Siciliana. My wife tends to enjoy the salads. We unfortunately haven't tried a pizza yet, but if it's as good as everything else we've tried, I'm sure we'll leave satisfied customers. As a note: for the last two years, they've done a Groupon once or twice a year. It's a great way to get a taste without spending too much on their food if you want to give it a try! read more

I had to take my original review down due to the owner and managers arguing with my opinion with phone calls and a yelp message, but I've decided to re-review... and at their request have not given 1 star (apparently I am too harsh) but will increase to 2 (at fear of having to take it down again). I strongly feel it's the right of the consumer to be able to state their opinion. The food was not good in all honesty. I am Italian and am appalled at restaurants who cannot make a good red sauce or basic baked ziti which they failed to do. To be fair they did try to reach out to me before asking me to change my review and they did offer to make it right, but I really cannot eat somewhere again after such a bad experience. read more

We had dinner at Vinzo's last night because of a Groupon my boyfriend had purchased. (1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 glasses of wine, woohoo!) My boyfriend and I are both from the north (New Jersey and Long Island) so we know GOOD Italian food, and had high hopes. Vinzo's is situated in the back of a shopping center on 436, and you would probably have no idea it was there unless you frequent that shopping center. We came in at about 7:30pm, and it was not very busy. We got to seat ourselves wherever we liked. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the Groupon offer. Now to the food. Vinzo's was very... average. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer, which was done on thick Italian bread, not very toasted, covered in shredded mozzarella cheese (not melted) and served with marinara sauce on the side (not sure why?) My boyfriend also ordered the Merlot as per the Groupon (I don't drink) and he said it was average. We were then served two garden salads, which was pretty much iceberg lettuce, two slices of onion, 1/4th of a tomato, and one olive. Yes, one olive. I counted. We were also served "garlic knots" which were not garlic knots by any means. They were round like the Pillsbury biscuits you buy at the grocery store and pop in the oven, and SMOTHERED, in olive oil and herbs. I originally tried to order the zucchini parmigiana, but was told they were out of zucchini. Ok. My boyfriend ordered the Salmon Valentino, which looked very delicious and he says he enjoyed very much. I, on the other hand, ordered the Chicken Bruschetta, which I liked, but would not order again. It's pretty much chicken covered in bruschetta and melted mozzarella served with angel hair pasta. The chicken was good. The angel hair pasta was clearly just doused with olive oil and chunks of garlic, which is flavorless to me so I didn't touch it. It was considered a "light" dish, but by no means should that mean compromising flavor. Overall, the food was okay and the service was good. Will we return? No, but it was worth a try with the Groupon. read more

I have never been disappointed by this place. We order delivery from here often, have been in to eat a few times, and ordered pick-up tonight. The pizza is great every time. The calzones are awesome. However, my favorite items are their grilled chicken and fettuccine alfredo. I don't know what they put on their chicken but it's almost addicting, and the alfredo sauce, dare I say it, almost compares to my Italian mother's sauce. We ordered pizza and wings from Vinzo last weekend. I wouldn't say the pizza was bad, but it wasn't great. We order from Papa John's and Pizza Hut a lot, but I wanted to find some "real" pizza around us. This was not it. The pizza was dry, for lack of a better expression. The crust was not crispy. I ordered a side of marinara sauce and was very happy to have it. The sauce was actually very good; there just wasn't much on the pizza. The wings weren't great, but I did like them. The ranch and blue cheese were also good. Customer service on the phone and in person was great. The delivery was speedy. I read great reviews about the pasta. I definitely want to try that. I'll give this place one more chance, just not for the pizza. read more

True connoisseurs on the hunt for good NY Style Pizza should most likely avoid Vinzo's. The rest of the reviewers here have obviously never had a good slice from NYC. The pizza was mediocre for the price and the cheesy jalapeno dip belongs in a mexican restaurant. This is not true NY style pizza. Save yourself the money and get some Papa John's. To be fair to other menu items, I didn't try anything other than the pizza and dip, but they won't get me coming back to try anything else. If this is the best that Casselberry/Winter Park has to offer, then enjoy the mediocrity. read more

Just found this place as they were making the switch from Italian Village to Vinzo's and are we glad we did. We were looking for something different than the big franchise delivery restaurants when we came across Vinzo's ability to not only deliver, but you can order online! We already have to put pants on to answer the door, but calling and talking to someone? Forget it! What really sold us was during the transition a particular soup was no longer on the menu but they had not removed it from the internet menu as of the time we placed our order. They tried to call us to let us know, but our phone was on silent. Some time passed before we realized this and returned their call. They informed us that our delivery was already on it's way -- but not to worry they made a special order of this soup just for us! How lovely. Anywho, we've tried several things on the menu such as: The chef and Antipasto Salads, Stromboli, Soups, Gyro plate, and even fries. Everything was delivered really fresh and looked like it was made from quality ingredients. Taste did not disappoint and either did the portions. The fries even came hot and crispy (delicious by the way) and for desert? Tiramisu and Chocolate Cake really helped it come all together. Sure it's a little more expensive than Papa John's or Hungry Howie's, but the quality of the food well makes up for that. We are very grateful to have this as as a delivery option. I'm not normally a seafood eater but this was awesome! It came with a garlic aioli sauce drizzled on too and marinara on the side. I loooved the little red peppers that came with it. Such a nice taste! I got the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken and my husband ordered a pizza as his dish. The waiter allowed him to get a large pizza half wild hot (pepperoni, sausage, cayenne, and banana pepper) and half classic Italian (tomatoes, pesto, and mozzarella). The alfredo was delicious. Not at all salty and the pasta was cooked PERFECTLY. They gave a generous portion of chicken that was so soft I was able to cut it with a spoon. Just perfect. I came here with my fiancé for my birthday. We shared a bruschetta appetizer and both ordered steak ala-forno, a baked pasta dish. The appetizer was generous in portion and had flavorful dressing. Our entrees were heavenly and were big enough to turn into two meals for each of us. All servers appeared friendly and attentive. I love this place. It was the first takeout order we placed, when we moved into our new home four years ago, and we still order regularly. Tonight they accidentally forgot one of our items, and we didn't say anything. 10 mins later someone knocked on the door with the missing item and a piece of cake. The pizza here, INCREDIBLE Went there for the first time last Saturday, ordered a pizza online before going to pick up in-store - we had a lot of requests/adds/subtracts and they handled it FLAWLESSLY, giving us a pizza we would never, EVER forget! In fact, it was SO delicious, we didn't even make it two steps out their door and just decided to eat it on their bench outside, it was TOO GOOD to wait to get home to enjoy it! Also gave their dine in experience a chance this past Friday and WOW, their amazing food and magnificent service is the perfect 1-2 combo! Kellen was absolutely phenomenal in explaining all the details of some of the promotions and coupons they had available to patrons. Not only that, he actually REMEMBERED the custom order for our pizza the last time we got it to go last Saturday! Huge props Kellen, you can bet your bottom dollar we're going to come looking for you next time we're in the area - thank you as well for opening up the door and giving us that extra nudge we needed to be introduced to Vinzo's EPIC hot wings. While the interior might be a bit more casual looking, the food and service completely make up for it! The food packs the most flavorful punch! Ive been sick for a few weeks and unable to eat, but when I stepped in here the smell alone had my mouth watering. I started with the lobster bisque, which was surprisingly light and incredibly flavorful. The chicken parmigiana was my main course choice, which was also incredible. We have eaten here many times and the food is always great. Tonight the food was still great but the service was horrible to say the least. Only three tables were full and the waiter could not even keep our drinks filled, we had to ask for a box which he carried to the other tables to carry on a conversation.. we had to go get it ourselves.. we had to ask for the check... he has a lot to learn! If this had been our first visit, we would have never returned. Update.. we returned to Vinzo's giving it another chance because the food is really good! We actually ended up with the same waiter... we were pleasantly surprised! He did a great job this time! Management must have done their part and taken care of the situation!
