She was the first and only dentist to offer numbing my gums with Novocaine when I warned her that I was going to be very uncomfortable/borderline screaming with my teeth cleaning (when the dentists use the high pressure "water-pick" to take out tartar, this process always feels like ice picks to my gums). Dentists in the past just cleaned my teeth and I stayed in pain, gripping the chair, during the entire cleaning, even though I have told previous dentists the same thing. Now getting my teeth cleaned is NOT a torturous event every 6 months. As far as I know, she only takes cash or dental PPO (no dental DMO). However, I always get in and out within one hour of my scheduled appointment. Previously, with my dental DMO, it took at least 3 hours total. read more

I would leave less stars if it was possible. I just left a 10 a.m. appointment that I scheduled on Monday and I was never seen; it is currently 11:36. I sat very patiently in the waiting room while the receptionist told me that the doctor would be with me in just a few minutes. This interaction was at 10:45. At 11:30 when I stood up and told her maybe it would be best if I rescheduled she became very combatant and told me she didn't understand why I was acting this way. In the middle of our interaction the doctor walked up and realized that I was unhappy due to waiting over an hour and a half for her and she just decided to turn around and walk away. The receptionist continued to tell me why she didn't understand why I was upset and that it would be best if I just left. I was trying to explain to her that people who have appointments expect to be seen within a reasonable time and she told me nobody else has ever had an issue, which I can hardly believe. When I told Dr. Violet of this, she was wonderful and offered to re-do the xrays and images in her office FOR FREE. WOW! Needless to say that was a great first impression. Dr Akhondzaden filed a false neglect claim on our family for not finishing up our dental treatment with our daughter. Our daughter didn't like her way of delivering her dental care . We decided to get another dentist in another location. She still filed a false claim knowing we were going to finish treatment elsewhere. She brought unnecessary anguish and time and effort trying to resolve matter with cps . Parents beware of bringing your children here . Change is a scary thing! But I chose Dr Violet and made an appointment. Walking in for my first consultation I was nervous, but immediately impressed by Dr. Violet's professional staff. Dr. Violet's assessment of the problems in my mouth meshed with the ones from my former dentist, but what clinched the deal for me was the time and trouble her staff went to figure out my additional insurance policy and how it worked. My move to Dr Violet is going to save me over $900, and that's just for starters. Buyer beware. This place is a scam. I went for a deep cleaning and walked out with a list of things that were wrong with my teeth. I was ok with that, but what started out as a $2000 list ended up being a list of over $4500.00. I started to have second thoughts and having this feeling in my gut that there was something wrong with this place. I took my boss' advise and went to another dentist for a consultation. I gave him my x-rays that Dr. Violet took and after he examined me he said everything looked good. All he had to do was finish the crown Dr. Violet started. I even doubt I needed that crown. All she wanted was to take as much money from me as possible. I didn't tell my current dentist everything she said that was wrong with my teeth, I wanted to see if he had the same conclusions and he did not. I called to make a appointment and talked to a very nice women " Doris" I told her what insurance I had 3 times and she said yes we take that. When I got in there and she took my card and ID. I sat and did the paper work she ask me to fill out and when I was done she told me They did not take my Insurance, But they were having a deal that I could get free Xray and exam. I said what good would that do me if you do not except my insurance how would I pay for it? I was pissed off. I again told her 3 times " Way would you tell me 3 times that you did when you do not. They got me there on false pretense. And when I was there ( It should have been my first red flag) The doc calling her and and asking if this or that person had paid. NOT HAPPY.
