We decided to book a Central Park pedicab tour so we could see more of the park in a shorter amount of time, and after reading countless reviews, we specifically requested Barry as our guide. He absolutely lived up to the hype! We were picked up just outside Magnolia Bakery, which worked out perfectly because we got to enjoy their famous banana pudding before our tour began. From the moment we met Barry, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our experience memorable. He took us to all of Central Park's must-see locations and best photo spots. He even helped us adjust our camera settings so we could get the best pictures based on the lighting and scenery. One of our favorite parts was hearing about all the movies and TV shows filmed throughout the park. Barry pointed out famous filming locations and shared fun facts along the way. To top it all off, he took us to the beautiful cherry blossom trees for some amazing photos at the end of the tour. This was such a fun and relaxing way to experience Central Park, and my daughter said it was one of her favorite parts of our entire trip. I walked by Steve and he engaged me like the others, but instead of pressuring me for the sale, he offered me a free app that would guide me around Central Park. He continued offering free advice and where to best see the park, then asked if I would like to see it on his tour. This was a way better approach!! His tour was amazing and he is full of historical facts and knows every in and out around Central Park. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and even gave me his cell number and asked me to call if I needed any further recommendations in the city! Please call Steve and don't fall prey to the high pressure sales people!

I made a reservation ahead of time, but considering we got asked if we wanted a carriage ride each…read moretime we stepped out of the Ritz Central Park it was probably unnecessary. We got a text from Oscar 30 min before our 10am meeting time telling us where to meet him, conveniently across the street from our hotel. He was easy to find despite all the other carriage drivers. It was the most gorgeous day in NYC so this couldn't been timed more perfectly. The carriage was plenty spacious for our party of 3 (would have been fine for 4 or 5 if had kids). We stopped for a few pictures and Oscar pointed out some highlights including where movies were filmed. He also showed us a fountain where other carriage drivers were telling their riders that it was the fountain from friends but he said he couldn't lie to us. ;). And we even got to feed Oscar's lovely horse strawberry some carrots. 45 min later our 50 min carriage ride came to an end. As soon as we paid Oscar he left us quickly in search of his next ride. Again no need to book this experience ahead of time, but if you want to plan ahead you'll be in good hands with Oscar and his horse, strawberry.
