I had a very good experience with Gig Harbor Heating and AC! Had a situation where my heating…read moresystem was not putting out heat throughout the house. They were able to come and investigate the issue within 24 hours for a fee of $99. They were able to remedy the problem within 48 Hours as they required materials to repair the issue, which had to do a with a leak in the transfer lines that are connected to the AC system. However in the meantime, they set the furnace on an override so that we could have heat until they returned for proper repairs. Our service tech was Travis and he was very easy to communicate with and explain to me what the issue was. They also we're very courteous and respectful upon their service. I believe that the price was also fair and affordable. I would recommend having this company give an estimate for repairs when looking for service in the area.

After using Gig Harbor for many years, I called them back to give me an estimate in the middle of…read morelast summers heat. The time until someone could come out was ridiculous. If they are going to promote SERVICE then they need to employee more qualified techs especially during the summer months do they can provide the only thing they have to SELL. If they do not think that we the paying customers can get someone else to sell you another AC/ Heating, probably as good if not A better BRAND, then what closes the buying decision SERVICE REPUTATION AFTER THE SALE. Having been convinced into replacing both my AC UNITS at over 30k and taking forever to complete, in was installed leaving the old unit in the attic. This summer ( 2-3 weeks ago) I called them to come out as the upstairs unit thermostat was malfunctioning Something to do with condensation and being freezing cold in the house. Tech came out a few days later supposedly fixed the problem. Now last week same thing is occurring again and trying to get an appointment that's convenient to them is impossible. THEN UPON receiving a scheduled appointment for Today July 7th, Susie calls and says they have to reschedule that the tech that was scheduled for my home doesn't have the "RIGHT LADDER" On his truck and we need to reschedule. That's now 4 days sleeping in a warm bedroom When calling Susie back she presented the Lame excuse about the TECH NOT HAVING THE RIGHT LADDER. DO YOU THINK THAT THEY MIGHT PLAN AHEAD the night before for the correct tools to do a job. So now the appointment to fix the same problem as a few weeks ago is schedule between 8:30 and 10:00 after being told that we have to leave for the airport at 9:30 so if they are not here or are here early and do not finish By 9:30 he will have to leave and come back. Asked Susie why they could not schedule for a 11:00 AM time or later, the reply was they do not want to be in the attics when it's Hot. I do not where she is from but this time of year is not that HOT. So they only schedule 1 or 2 jobs a day but have tech's out selling job's the rest of the time? Maybe they give the right LADDERS to the estimators or maybe they have to share. WILL WAIT TO SEE what comes out of this and discuss compensation for the HOTEL ROOM for 4 nights as it's been So HOT UPSTAIRS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you think twice about this company or if nothing else, insure you get 2 other qualified bids and check there service ratings. Apparently GIG HARBOR DOES NOT KNOW THE MEANING OF THE ACRONYM T I P S TO INSURE PROMPT/ PROPER SERVICE. ITS THE ONLY THING THRY HAVE TO SELL. So now schedule

Each time, the technician listened to the problems we were experiencing, correctly diagnosed the problem and repaired the unit. This last time, the technician was able to assure me there was no leakage problem and the alarm was an error. He did a through investigation. I have been very satisfied with the communication. Too often, a service provider is unwilling to take the time to talk to the customer (especially if the customer is a woman). We have purchased a Priority Plus membership because I anticipate on-going problems with this water heater. I trust the technicians who have provided services. Several services are available at a discount with the membership and I plan to use them.

While scheduling the appointment, I have just been told, that because I said, "I didn't think it's heating like it should" That I now have to make an appointment for a " repair technician" that will cost $100+ for the visit. I asked "well then what am I paying for monthly who comes out for the free maintenance appointment?!? and she said something like well that's the "maintenance and safety technician". The "free" appointment that I pay for every month is only for the once a year visit by the "maintenance and safety technician" and because I simply said I don't think t's working quite like it should" now I have to pay $100+ for this visit. What?!? SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!! Bait & SWITCH! I told her on the phone "OK, I take it back. Suddenly my heater is working beautifully. I need the free maintenance visit," she replied "well now that I've already said it wasn't working properly and it's been recorded, I have to pay the $100+ for the appointment. I became a total 'Karen' and asked to speak to someone on a higher level. I was furious!! She couldn't transfer me because it's a Saturday. She continued refusing to give me my standard free appointment (that I actually pay every month for). How does she know if the safety maintenance man can simply push a button and it starts to work better? She doesn't! SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!! Do NOT use this company! Do NOT buy a unit from this company! And absolutely do NOT pay monthly for there scam of the "free maintenance visit" THIS IS A CLASSIC, GREEDY COMPANY SCAM!!

They not only fixed…read morethe issues I originally posted with a 3* review, but also revisited what we had discussed back in March - fixed it, and found something new going on that we will fix soon. VERY happy now. Prior review: We hired Capitol Duct because they were the only company we called that used a scope (camera) to examine the ducts before cleaning. We should have gotten the ducts cleaned before installing an in-duct booster fan, but we didn't think of it, so we needed the cleaners to be extra careful with their rotating brushes in that area. They came out 3-2-26. [I deleted the rest of my review, but the photos can' be deleted - they show dirt that showed up on our filter 2 months later. Capitol Duct came out again right away and took care of everything. NOTE to others - if something goes wrong, call them before posting a bad review.]

I hired Capitol Duct Cleaning to clean a dryer vent in April 2025. Fourteen months later, when the…read moredryer started malfunctioning, an appliance repair technician found the cause: a cleaning brush lodged in the duct. I don't know how or when the brush ended up there -- but I do know that a thorough duct cleaning should have found and removed it, and Capitol's did not. When I called to raise this, they denied any responsibility and offered excuses for why their air-hose method wouldn't have caught it -- while refusing to remove it now except as a new, separately paid job. Whatever the brush's origin, their original service demonstrably failed to clear the duct. I agreed to pay again anyway, just to get it resolved. I was told a manager would call me first to discuss it. No one called. I waited for the scheduled technician instead; no one showed. When I followed up, I learned the office had canceled the appointment without telling me. I rescheduled a third time, and to avoid any confusion, I emailed a photo of the brush along with the access details (about 10 feet in, no crawlspace) and asked them to confirm they could do the job at the agreed price. The email went unanswered. When I called, I was assured the office had seen it, reviewed the photo, and confirmed the job and price. Two weeks later, the technicians arrived -- 90 minutes early, before I was ready -- with no idea they were there to remove a stuck brush. After using about 15 minutes of my time, they concluded they couldn't remove it after all. I told them to leave and hired someone else. Across three separate appointments and every point of contact -- the initial cleaning a year ago, the manager callback, the scheduled visit, the confirmed job -- Capitol Duct Cleaning did not follow through on a single commitment it made. I won't use them again.
