We have had a Mercurio's technician at the house three times recently to address problems with our trouble prone water heater. Each time, the technician listened to the problems we were experiencing, correctly diagnosed the problem and repaired the unit. This last time, the technician was able to assure me there was no leakage problem and the alarm was an error. He did a through investigation. I have been very satisfied with the communication. Too often, a service provider is unwilling to take the time to talk to the customer (especially if the customer is a woman). We have purchased a Priority Plus membership because I anticipate on-going problems with this water heater. I trust the technicians who have provided services. Several services are available at a discount with the membership and I plan to use them. read more

While scheduling the appointment, I have just been told, that because I said, "I didn't think it's heating like it should" That I now have to make an appointment for a " repair technician" that will cost $100+ for the visit. I asked "well then what am I paying for monthly who comes out for the free maintenance appointment?!? and she said something like well that's the "maintenance and safety technician". The "free" appointment that I pay for every month is only for the once a year visit by the "maintenance and safety technician" and because I simply said I don't think t's working quite like it should" now I have to pay $100+ for this visit. What?!? SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!! Bait & SWITCH! I told her on the phone "OK, I take it back. Suddenly my heater is working beautifully. I need the free maintenance visit," she replied "well now that I've already said it wasn't working properly and it's been recorded, I have to pay the $100+ for the appointment. I became a total 'Karen' and asked to speak to someone on a higher level. I was furious!! She couldn't transfer me because it's a Saturday. She continued refusing to give me my standard free appointment (that I actually pay every month for). I hired Mercurio's to service my HVAC system and was told my labor warranty was voided because I had missed one annual service. At no point did they mention that my Daikin system still carried a 10-year parts warranty. During the initial inspection, the technician left my unit in worse condition than before they arrived. After that visit, the company cancelled two scheduled repair appointments, further delaying the fix. When they finally returned, the technician was five hours late to the scheduled time. Their flat-rate pricing model meant they charged a full labor fee for installing a replacement part--even though the part itself was covered under the manufacturer's warranty at no cost. Under Washington law, service providers must perform work in a "workmanlike manner" and may not bill for repairs or parts necessitated by their own negligence or under warranty. In my opinion, this practice raises serious compliance concerns. When I questioned them about the invoice, they stated, "Yes, $350/hour is our standard rate. I'm attaching an invoice that shows you exactly what the charges are for." By using flat rate pricing, they are still able to charge for the cost of the part. Instead of professionalism and accountability, I received delays, damage, and questionable billing practices. I had an extra breaker installed on my panel and a dedicated outlet as well. The installation went fine though he wasn't able to do the one in my room because they forgot to send an extra technician to assist. Everything was fine until they filed the WRONG permit that didn't cover my house and I had to take off a day of work and sit there and wait for an inspection that NEVER happened. Then they reschedule the inspection and offer my an apology but nothing off the job for the time I spent waiting because they messed up my permit. I only gave 3 stars because Steve was very helpful and it wasn't his fault the wrong permit was filed. I need more work done but won't be using them again. I think I should've gotten some money back for my wasted day! UPDATE: they come today and do my inspection and turns out it can't be done virtually. Even though they did it VIRTUALLY... so they may have to come back and do it again and L&I is wondering why they placed TWO outlets next to each other instead of either combining them or just doing one one new outlet. Called them to take a look at my heat pump/gas furnace system. Technician diagnosed a failed inducer motor but didn't perform any repair. I was charged $350 for the diagnostic visit, and the repair quote was over $3,700 with no itemized breakdown of parts vs labor. The pricing was especially hard to justify given that the inducer motor itself is readily available for a fraction of that cost. I'm sure there would be explanations offered after the fact--safety concerns, age of equipment, company policy--but none of that was discussed during the visit. Scheduled a gas furnace service on 9/2/25. Got a confirmation email the same day. Got a reminder email the day before. Window of arrival was 12-5. Waited the five hours and the technician never showed up. No phones either. Called the next day and was unable to get an explanation as to why my appointment was not honored. First they canceled an appointment the day before that I had booked 4 months prior. Second, when they scheduled the make-up appointment, they would not give me a time window so I was forced to waste an entire day so they could show up whenever they wanted. They used to give time windows for the technician, but I was told on the phone that they stopped doing this. Updated Review 1 week after the work was done: Our furnace stopped working (fan ran, no heat) so I called Rainier Heating who came out (they did give me a short time window) and discovered the Mercurio's tech had left a wire loose (I saw it) which caused our heat malfunction. Dead outlets and ceiling lights. I have used Mercurios so many times. They do great work. Look professional. Don't smell. (You know what I mean). They are kind and know what they are doing! It is so nice that I can trust them no matter what the project is...installing a mini split, dedicated power lines twice, one for the spa and one for the shed, new light fixtures and ceiling fans. They respect and remember my cats! Seriously! One young man had done some work and shared with the guys that my big old Morris had died. You cannot pay for that sense of small town community care. I will always use Mecurios and cannot recommend them more highly. My problem was quickly resolved. The scheduler got me in the day after I called, which was not necessary. I had an issue with our thermostat constantly shutting off the a/c in our house. Since Mercurio's had installed our whole house a/c a few years ago, and we had their Priority plan, I called them to come see what the issue was. The technician they sent was great, he arrived on time, was friendly and courteous, and spent an hour or so testing and running diagnostics on the a/c unit, but could find no fault with it. It turns out the issue was the thermostat itself, which is still under warranty, and takes 10 seconds to replace with a new one. Where I have the issue with Mercurio's is that I was charged over $700 for the visit. I mean, come on, seriously? $700 for a one-hour visit where nothing actually needed to be repaired? And apparently that included my membership discount! I literally had 4 guys spend six hours in the sun replacing a 25ft section of fence on the same day for less money than that. read more

We signed a maintenance contract and scheduled a plumbing check up they completely just didn't show and didn't call us back after several calls to check on arrival time. Frustrating, because we had to be hear entire afternoon for a wide window.The last time they were out I wasn't sure how f they were just a sales rep or they actually were plumbers? They came out to attempt to fix a problem with my tankless water heater. (The tech was great) they charged a very reasonable diagnostic fee. He found a faulty check valve. When the part came in he installed it in about 20 minutes. They charged $760.00 with a $250.38 "special" discount the total was $509.62. We've used Mercurios since moving back to the PNW a year ago. It started with a furnace that died and a great technician who was in call that cold night. The relationship continued to having the furnace re-wired for the installation of a smart thermostat and future AC. That day they also moved the thermostat location for us. They do (or did) thermostat wiring for a flat fee based on the number of floors they have to transit - so it was a good deal to get it moved at the same time. From there we expanded to an AC consultation (especially after hitting 105) last summer. Our consultant was fantastic and the bid very fair. Today they completed the AC install. Excellent crews, both the HVAC crew and the in-house electricians. The job took a while but this was because they took the time to do the job well. For example, instead of pulling the wiring out one side of the house and going around, they took the time to fish the wiring through the basement ceiling into the crawl space and over. All of the lineset exits were well sealed and insulated and the lead technician reprogrammed our smart thermostat to recognize the AC component and, of course, tested and explained everything before leaving. read more

This review is for the shower cartridge replacement that they did to one of the bathroom in my house earlier. For that small piece of shower cartridge replacement, I can't believe that they charge me almost $700. And it only took them 10 minutes to finish it. I am not a plumber myself and there's no way I am able to know the problem on the hot water pressure in my shower unless they come to diagnose it, but c'mon, $700 is too much. And I felt like it's not a very risky job to replace the cartridge, unlike, septic diagnostic etc. I felt like the price is too much. I asked for an estimate to replace the kitchen sink faucet, and he gave me a quote for $450 only for the labor. And to fearmonger me that if I do it myself and do it incorrectly that it could cause more problem and potential damages which I could end up paying more, that doesn't go well with me. There is nowhere in the world that they can justify the price just to replace a shower cartridge that can be done in less than 10mins. To be honest, I really felt betrayed. I would still need some plumbing service in my house but I really felt they screwed me up and betrayed my trust in their company. read more

Mercurio's was unable to diagnose or repair our heat pump despite attempting to work with them for approx. one month and three techs being sent out to work on it. First, they bumped us twice from a Friday to Monday to Tuesday for the initial appt despite confirming for each day. We were given two diagnoses. The first part took two weeks to come in and then the second tech decided it was not the issue and ordered a new part that took over a week to get in. Then the third tech installed the second ordered part but did not have the first ordered part with him. He could not get the unit running. When I attempted to speak with a manager about our experience, I was transferred, and the call was dropped. When I immediately called again, I was told the manager would call back after a meeting, but they did not call back for over two days. WHAT A CLUSER THIS IS! It seems Mercurio's Heating & Air Conditioning had changed their values. I just read that I am not the only customer this has happened to recently. I bought Mercurio's service plan last year and they came out for my free inspection. My system was working perfectly fine before they arrived. The tech, who stated he has bounced around at different jobs for the past three years worked on my system. It sounded like a con job while he was inspecting my system, like prepping me for the shoe to fall. He was stating how this doesn't look right, I can't tell how old the system is, these parts are rusty, and just pointing out all the possible issues. It was over the top. He ran into a problem getting the fan to work. After some discussion he went to his truck and tried something else and the fan was working. Then the heater didn't come on. He didn't know how to fix it, but would call in someone more experienced to get it fixed today, Friday afternoon. He left and my system wasn't even put back together, screws were left on the floor. How can they leave without even putting the system back together like they found it? A few hours later I get a call saying the tech is on the way and that if my system wasn't their fault, I would be charged for the service and repair. WTF??? I'd give the technician, Red, twelve stars if they were available. He was on time, speedy, clean and pleasant. I purchased the extended labor warrantee while he was here which includes a 1" filter monthly at no cost to me. The kicker is I have to pick it up in person from their shop each month. He told me company policy dictates one only, picked up monthly. If Mercurio's really cares about customer satisfaction, and not just the colorful stars, they'd let enrolled customer get their monthly filters in six-month increments or at least quarterly. As it stands customers have to make a special trip to get their free filters which are available for under $10ea on Amazon. Mercurio's has provided repair services to my home in the past as well as the full furnace replacement last year and I've always been more than satisfied with them but this 'one at a time' filter policy will cost them business.. read more

We just bought our first home and our furnace stopped working we had an electrician come out from here because we'll they are supposed to be the experts. I was quoted 189 just to come look. Let me start by saying I first started using Mercurio's back in 1999 when I had 3 different havoc people come or fail to show to a new home I had just bought, a friend at work heard of my problems and he said I need to call this company, they will treat me right. Fast forward to 2021, my ex wife had a furnace problem, asked me to come over, thought her pilot light went out. I went over, not a pilot light type furnace, I tried 4x to reset the system, FAIL after FAIL. Call Mercurio's, it's a holiday of course next morning, they said they can get a tech there by 1pm. 1 PM comes and here is the technician, Shawn at the door. 10 minutes he has the system working. He does a thorough inspection, makes a simple recommendation to change filter also, he's cleaned up and gone by 1:20 with photos of model and serial # for future reference to be more efficient in the future. Our heat went out a couple days before Christmas when we were having record low temperatures. Called for an appointment and was able to get Mercurio's out the next day. Even in the ice storm, when many companies were closed for the day, two technicians came out to look at the unit and thermostat. After troubleshooting, they quoted a price and offered to fix it that way. I was extremely impressed by the excellent customer service, communication and an amazing job for much less than I expected. Waited till 4:30 to get explanation why nobody came to my home and was told they had numerous calls for repairs. Tom came to the house first to give an estimate and was helpful in describing the different options and assessing which would be the best fit for our house and our needs. We were able to schedule the installation surprisingly quickly, within just a couple weeks, and on the day of the work Mario and Matt were professional and efficient in getting it done in 6 hours flat. They cleaned up around the work areas and showed me how to work the units before leaving the site. We're already thrilled with how much warmer the house is just with the 2 heads. The friendly staff at this company are the backbone!!! From our estimate meeting with Tyler to the crew who came out for the install. All were transparent and gave lots of communication. Which meant a lot to us. We opted for a ductless two unit product. We met with Tyler to discuss options on a Monday evening and by Wednesday morning we had a crew here to install. Tyler was not a pushy salesman. He gave us all the options and spent his time asking us relevant questions regarding where we wanted it and what we expected from the product. When the install crew and electric duo arrived Wednesday. They were quick to Don shoe booties as to not get the new flooring dirty. They laid plastic down as well. If something needed to be tweaked that hadn't been discussed they sat down and walked us through the why. Which was only once. They measured twice and drilled once. Made sure items were centered before installing asked us if we were happy with where it was before going forward. I mean they were amazing with communication. Our install team was Matt/Adam/Bill. They were polite, clean, stayed on task and made sure it was complete and working and put in a long day to make sure it was perfect. Made sure all our questions were answered. Top notch customer service!!!! Same with our electrical duo Rich/Chuck. Polite, clean hard working. Answering any and all questions. Did not cut corners and made everything seamless.
