Never coming back here. The lady at the front desk is extremely rude and doesn't acknowledge when customers come in until we say something first. A man did my nails and was filing down my previous gels so hard that my nail actually broke and stabbed my nail bed. I decided to not get color and thought he would buff out my nails smooth. Nope. VIP has been my regular nail salon since high school. With that being said, they are the only place I trust. Their facility is always clean and they always accept walk-ins. They accept credit cards, but would rather you pay with cash. Tips are cash only. My regular "order" is a pink and white full set, and a french tip pedicure. Saturday morning, my friend and I walked in and we were two out of 5 customers. Granted we were there when they opened and I don't blame anyone for sleeping in. That is the time to go, because the manicurists take their time doing your nails well. Other times that I have been in (when it was busy) they seemed to rush my nails. My pedicures always seem to last for at least a month, but I am always careful not to stub my toes... As for the full set, they last about the same time, before they need to be filled, or before I chip them and take them off. The place is great and I wouldn't go anywhere else :) read more

I had a great experience at this nail salon. Came in on a Sunday afternoon with no appointment looking for a pedicure. They weren't too busy and were able to fit me in. The gentleman who did my pedicure was great! He showed me the menu so I could pick what service I wanted (as there are several pedicure add-ons). I chose the signature pedicure- which included an amazing foot and leg massage and hot towel wrap! What a nice relaxing treat. The toe polish looks great, and prices are reasonable. There are signs up all over noting their price increases due to covid. I will definitely come back here again. read more

The only reason why I decided to try this place out is because a friend of mine is a regular here at this nail salon. As soon as I walked in I should have walked right out. Bad vibes from the get-go. One lady started with the acrylics by gluing them on, cut it (not even consistent in length) and left. So... I was left to assume someone else was going to finish my manicure. Dang! At least tell me - common courtesy people! Anyway, I received a decent full set pink & white french manicure with cute sparkles even. HOWEVER, when it came time for the gel coat at the end the nail tech did not take her time to fully coat my nails. So majority of my nails look dull, instead of shiny. They are lucky I did not have enough time to complain and have them redo the gel. Nevertheless, I am definitely not coming back. read more

Worst eyebrow wax experience I've ever had. Walked in on my lunch break because it was close to work. Waited for 10 minutes while they called someone on the phone to help me. They said she was in her car on break... But there were 4 other people in there sitting around and talking...? They even needed to call the woman twice before she came in. When I was getting waxed, she didn't say a word to me. My eyebrows are now uneven and barely look waxed. I seemed like an inconvenience to her. And she had the nerve to ask for a tip?? Absolutely RUINED my nails. I normally get acrylics and wanted to try this new place and never have I had any issues like this. Half of them fell off within he first 2 weeks and more than 3 of my nails SPLIT down the middle which is very painful. They are all so damaged and are growing completely crooked. The nails looked terrible to begin with and were not nice look at all. She also gave me the completely wrong color. Never going back there, I would not recommend. read more

Very clean, but not exactly friendly. When finished, my nails weren't what I asked for at all and messy underneath. I left with nail polish on my finger tips and acrylic still needing shaved off. I even brought photos and showed them twice what I wanted. Probably won't be returning. read more

They were gentle, attentive, paid close close close attention to detail and made sure there were no mistakes or smudges. Ken is a perfectionist when it comes to SNS nails. Each nail is perfect, like a work of art. The prices are very reasonable. The salon is clean and well kept. Lin gives a fabulous pedicure. This is one of only two places I go to in the conejo valley! They are very nice, accomidating and the best part, CLEAN! They have individual packets for each customer which is wonderful! I also have really bad luck with my nails lifting before the two week mark and Eddie and Debbie are the two people I see and they last almost three weeks....fantastic place!! read more

I have gone to the VIP nail spa for the last 8 months and although the people are friendly, the service is less then what I expected. I haven't had a decent fill on my nails the last four times. I had my nails done last Thursday, by the next day my gel covered french polish was worn off and the nails were so thick they started chipping within a week. I have been having issues with my fills and I kept coming back giving them another chance. I couldn't last a week without something breaking or chipping. I am looking for another nail spa to go to now. :( read more

This place is clean (main priority), but the manicurist didn't do a good job, plus, they didn't have a big selection of colors. My nails chipped within two days, they weren't filed well, and she didn't do anything with my cuticles. It might have just been an off day, or maybe she was recovering from Christmas. Kind of expensive compared to other nail salons (especially coming from the LA/OC area), but when am I back home and need a quick touch up, this place is always open and available, even on Sundays. This place is okay. They do a decent job at a fair price. It's true that the manicurists are timed and the timers go off in the salon (a little annoying) but I appreciate the speed as I usually come here on my lunch break and need fast service. If you want waxing, they only have one girl that does it. She's pretty good but if you show up during her lunch break then you'll be waiting quite a long time. I ain't gonna lie- I just heard Kobe Bryant and his daughters passing and I felt down so my man took us to go get pedis together for the first time. Never been to this one, but they were open. They charged us $75 (without tip.. with was $95) for two pedis, my boyfriend didn't get any nail polish and his pedi was a whole 30 mins less than mine? Meaning: they didn't even massage him and skipped two of the steps but still charged him $30. They added $15 for a plain gel polish. All I'm saying is this: they're 3 stars because they overcharge for eh work. If you go to the VIP in Simi Valley they charge $28 for gel polish and a FULL pedi which is listed as $52 at their location. They just charge you more with less work on their end because you live in TO- it's the honest truth. Just go outside of TO and find yourself a better salon with better service for less. read more

My first time getting the dip nails sns powder here at this salon. I LOVE the attention to detail from the gentleman that worked on my nails. I had to get back to work and he finished in 24 minutes and they are GORGEOUS. Its been along time where I felt happy with service on my nails. I have gone here a couple of times and the ladies working here are very nice and they did a great job. I was refered by a friend. It is often very busy so expect a wait and the pedicure massage chairs need to be updated as there isn't much padding and several don't work at all. However, the people here are very professional and friendly. After trying a few other places in the area - this is by far my favorite! read more

I have been looking for a new nail place and decided to walk into VIP nails for a gel manicure. I noticed instantly how clean everything was, and that they used individual liners for each pedicure tub. I was seated instantly and had my nails started on a few minutes later. Nick was super nice and helped me pick out a color, and Henry who did my nails was very gentle and did not rush. Karen was very nice when ringing me up as well. I've been here a total of 3 times. The first two times deserves 3 stars as the staff was attentive but the quality of the manicure I received was not all that great. The 3rd time, if I would give them 0 stars. I asked for a pedicure and manicure gel removal as well as a trim down on my hands. My pedicure was not relaxing or painless. The woman performing my pedicure was not gentle and as she removed my cuticles with the nipper, I felt every single cut as she cut and pulled at the same time, where usually I don't feel it. Gel removal was not any better. When the gentleman clipped my nails, he actually cut the skin under my nail and it bled quite a bit. read more

I requested my regular technician that I've been going to for over a decade and they said she was too busy. I also requested a Deluxe Spa Pedicure. The tech I got was obviously a trainee. She was nervous and did not say a word to me. I requested hotter water and did not get that either. My regular tech never had another client and I never saw her again, so they obviously lied about her being busy. The salon practices are not sanitary. I did not get the deluxe spa pedicure and I walked out with those foam flip flops that broke in the middle of the street. read more

I have tried other nail salons but I always come back to Vip.and now, they have all new spa chairs, in a totally remodeled shop. They have a very friendly, professional staff, and Helen the owner is very attentive . I especially love that they are careful with all sanitary concern and put fresh liners in the foot tubs and have separate bags for all the utensils each time.They do a foot massage with warm volcanic rocks its to die for! The ladies are so nice, and they understand special instructions, its great that the prices are great and they really appreciate their customer base. Thanks VIP! read more
