    I RECOMMEND JULIE 100%!!! Julie does an amazing job everytime I get a pedicure. She takes the time to clean each individual toe nail and cuticles. The massage is so relaxing. The overall customer experience makes you feel like a true VIP! You have the option to choose the VIP CHAIRS with the massage that work in the front or in the back where it's a lot more private. FREE WIFI

    I've gone several times with my small daughters to get gel manis and pedis, they have the cutest kid sized pink salon chairs that my girls love. Great quality nails

    I take my beautiful fiancé here regularly whenever she wants a pedicure or a manicure; her favorite person is Sandra! She always take such great care of us and make her feel at home, very kind and professional. She always brings us drinks to enjoy while we are being taken care of, and talks to us about our day and lives.     very sweet and welcoming ladies, each of them interacted with me and were very sweet. i'm not sure about what their names are. i had to wait no time the moment i got here. i was attended super quick and easily! my pedicure took no more than 15 minutes, super quick and cute! 5 stars!

    I try to never leave negative reviews because as a small business owner, I like to support other businesses. However, after my 3rd time in here in 6 days (not by choice), I had to share my experience. I came in to get "builder gel" nails done here when visiting my family. I get them done in my hometown and they are always great - they a last long time and never break. I noticed right away that the application of the so-called builder gel was much different than I have had anywhere else, but I'm not an expert so didn't think much about it. However, within a day and a half after I got them done, I had a couple break, and very far down on my natural nail - super painful! But things happen, so I came back in to get them fixed. The man at the front (I believe the manager) looked at them and said multiple times "oh, you broke your nails?" Basically like it was a "me" problem and nothing to do with them. Mind you, I was not doing anything crazy - making the bed when one broke and reaching in my purse to grab my wallet on the other. He reluctantly agreed to have a tech fix them after informing me that it was a long wait. They did fix them (and charged me ). THAT DAY two more broke off. I also noticed almost every single one was cracking pretty far down on my nail. SO, I went back in the next day to get them removed - the same manager guy was SO rude (which is why I decided to write this review). I told him that I always get builder gel, however the application is different in my experience and much stronger. He proceeded to roll his eyes and gave me a sarcastic laugh. I tried to show him the cracks and he cut me off completely - ignored me and helped someone else. He then became nasty with his tone and facial expressions when I told him that I would like to get them removed, instead of fixed. The nail tech herself was very nice and informed in a hushed tone that yes indeed, in her experience working at other salons, the gel nails always come from a powder-like substance which is why they are usually strong. She said she knew "this would happen" as it's not regular builder gel. This salon uses something completely different to save money I am assuming. However, this post is less about that issue and more about how I was treated by the front desk. On a side note: every time I was there, the manager and a couple other guys who work there were smoking in the front doorway causing the entire interior to smell like cigarette smoke. This was not pleasant, and completely inappropriate when there were little girls in there getting pedicures for Easter.

    I got my nails done by Kim for a very special event, and she did an absolute phenomenal job she did everything exactly as I asked and went well beyond my expectations ! Best set I've ever had !

A little empathy and flexibility can go a long way in retaining loyal clients. I genuinely loved coming to Perfect Balance over the years, which is why this experience was so disappointing in the first place. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been a loyal customer of Perfect Balance Day Spa in Lodi for years and have regularly visited with my mother for occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, and other special celebrations. Because of the positive experiences I've had in the past, I recently called a week before Mother's Day to schedule two "Slices of Heaven" services so my mother and I could treat each other for the holiday. Unfortunately, this particular experience was very disappointing. After confirming my appointment for a specific day and time, I received a call asking if I could move the appointment to 3:30 PM. I was understanding and accommodated the change without issue. Shortly after, I received another call informing me that if they were to keep the appointment, the "Oasis" portion of the service would only be provided for approximately 30 minutes instead of the full advertised hour. I politely asked whether there could be a price adjustment since the full service would not be rendered, but I was told, "Yeah, no." The receptionist, Kayla, made it seem as though she had already checked with a higher-up regarding the matter. She was polite throughout the interaction and even acknowledged that she understood my frustration and agreed that the situation did not seem right. Because of that, this review is not necessarily a reflection of Kayla personally, but rather of the management decision and lack of accommodation from whoever she had to answer to, whether that was a supervisor or the owner. I also asked whether another day could be arranged instead, but the communication felt hesitant and delayed, which ultimately led me to cancel the appointment altogether and make arrangements with Appellation aka Wine and Roses. It's unfortunate because I have genuinely supported and enjoyed this business for years. The 3 stars are for the quality of massages and prior customer service experiences I've received in the past. However, I deducted 2 stars due to the repeated scheduling changes, uncertainty, lack of accommodation, and unwillingness to provide a fair adjustment for a shortened service that could not be fully delivered as advertised. Very disappointing.

Even though I have oily skin it doesn't take too much of a bad product to make the skin peel off of my face like a sunburn. But after seeing all of the 5 star reviews I decided to make an appointment with Lauren, almost four weeks ago now. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but I was SO HAPPY I did! The whole experience was fabulous. Her room was comfortable and clean. She used only organic products that smelled fantastic. She was gentle yet thorough as she was applying and removing the various products to/from my face. And in between the multiple processes, while my face was absorbing the natural goodness of the products and steam, she massaged my calves and feet and then arms and hands. I had no idea that came with the facial. Bonus! All while cocooned in warm fluffy blankets. I stayed awake through the whole thing because of the excitement of what was to come. I loved every minute of it and my face never peeled, just smooth tighter skin. And before I left, I scheduled my next facial, which is in a couple of days. Oh, and I almost forgot, she does a great job on eyebrows too.
