Acrylic nails with pink clear gel! Natural look

I love the nail tech Danny! He's always very accommodating to schedules, double checks a lot on the lengths and if i like the nails. And he's very precise! I've been to him twice now! But have been coming to this salon for years! Definitely make an appointment first though!

I left with a pretty big cut on the side of one of my toenails which hurt to put shoes on! I got the deluxe pedicure which included the paraffin wax, scented scrub, etc. The wax was extremely hot when she dipped my foot in. And the scented scrub didn't smell like anything and she scrubbed so hard my legs started to turn red and felt raw. Having this only been my 2nd pedicure, I feel like this was supposed to be a lot more relaxing rather than painful

    Welcome to my $42 manicure.

I have frequented this salon since it's opening and the skill level has being between 3 and 4 but this last visit was a hellish nightmare. I asked for a French gel manicure and got a mess. When I asked the technician to fixed it, the tech sitting in front of her said and I quote "we busy". The implication being I'm not. I was told to come back later which was really inconvenient but I went back. The technician was very skilled at insulting me all the while calling me "honey". I was not thrilled with the service, my previosly healthy nails are damaged and my cuticles are inflamed and painful. Even now 5 days later my cuticles are in pain. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I scheduled a full gel set. When I arrived, the woman already had dip products out. When I said that I wanted a full gel set she said my nails were too short and the gel wouldn't stick. She said the dip will work better. I reluctantly agreed. When she asked about the length I wanted I used one of my nails as a gauge and said I wanted them all that length. She proceeded to not remove my overgrown cuticles and just did the dip manicure. The end result is nails that are all different lengths and shapes, none of which are the length I requested, product stuck on my skin, my cuticles flooded with product, and hang nails still on 7 out of 10 nails.

Skin around nails is AFTER mani...all chewed up.

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon for a regular mani/pedi. I have been here for a couple times with mixed reviews. This time solidified that I won't be back. My pedicure was first- it was just ok. The gentleman doing the pedi actually cut my toe near the start, so it ended up stinging the rest of the time. After my pedi (1.5hours) they took me over to the drying chair and brought me the bill. When I explained that I wanted a manicure as well, three ladies argued over who was going to do it- one of who was lounging on one of the pedicure chairs napping. The same man that ended up doing my pedicure came out of the back room and did the mani (another hour) where he proceeded to hack at the skin around my nails. Two days after the mani and everything is already chipped and peeling. Not worth the $50 I spent...especially since they weren't even gel.

Came here to get my nails done for my WEDDING and they are crooked, half missing, and wildly misshaped. I even explain my hands will be in wedding photos and they considered this "fixed" Didn't get a manicure with the set so the area around my nails is also looking rough (Also looking a little rough because they repeatedly cut into my nail bed with the nail shaver) Rough, rushed, and S L O P P Y

Super busy on a Saturday, partly my bad for heading there the day before Mother's Day. Lets save judging my time sense for another day.Ha ha First of all the nail polish collection there is the biggest I have seen . Like they have a light white and white in a teeny tiny shade darker. I am sure they have names for it but my vocabulary is limited . You do not have to break your bank account while here . Moderate prices for all their services . You will receive a warm welcome as soon as you are in along with whatever beverage you request ,have seen couple of them having wine too, So don't hesitate if you want to really relax . I went in for a spa pedicure ,which is a level higher than the regular pedi. I loved it . The service is excellent .I found this place very clean and hygiene they use covers in the tub and then fill it with water, salts, soap etc. My pedi went on for 40 mins with massages and warm towel wraps. I picked the rose salt and WOW!! it smelled and there was a lot of 'I'll have what she's having moments' He He!! My nail paint is intact even after two weeks now ..which I am very happy about. Excellent customer service and very professional. This will be go to for all things nails now on.

There are many great things to say about my first visit to VIP Nails & Spa! I am here currently drying my nails after having the best pedicure I've ever had. Coming from Boston, I wasn't sure I'd ever find a great salon in CT but I was proven wrong today. Got the VIP pedicure $45 and it included a salt scrub, hot towels, paraffin wax and a lengthy massage. Plus the staff greet you right when you walk in, offer you a beverage and provide a complimentary hand massage. There is light music playing and HGTV on in the background. The chairs are brand new and the entire place is pristine. Long story short, I'm hooked, already planning to come back in a couple of weeks! Thank you VIP!

    Brand new massage chairs!

THIS DOES NOT MEAN I EVER FEEL PRESSURED TO BUY MORE SESSIONS. I appreciate being told if there are upcoming specials if I'm running low and want to take advantage of any upcoming price reductions. And this doesn't happen every visit so no one is hounding you. Miranda is hands down the best technician I've had. She's careful and careful and thorough! She makes sure I look my best before leaving. And she talks me through what I think will be painful- and it isn't because Miranda is so great. This salon is the cleanest I've seen. I was getting waxed at hair or nail salons in a back room on a folding table before finding EWC. The rooms are hygienic and CLEAN. Fresh paper on the wax bed after being wiped down, clean counters and no hair everywhere. If you are going elsewhere- you're doing it wrong. This is where you need to be going

Right off of that as soon as I walked in, there were two other people waiting, and the store was completely silent no music. Reception was probably the worst part of this experience. The girl that handled me seemed somewhat preoccupied and on the phone insisted that I arrive as soon as possible, but I waited another 20 minutes not such a big deal, but it felt really weird standing around with nowhere to sit, and pretend to shop for some of their products to pass the time. My experience was the Brazilian wax was great. My wax technician was very friendly, nice and knowledgeable. I didn't really pay much attention to it at the time, but when I arrived home, I noticed that there were a few missed spots on my inner thigh and other lady parts . Checking out I was offered to purchase a bunch of different options for wax passes for one or three of the services that I just gotten and I felt bad that the receptionist did all of the work out to offer several different kinds of payment plans declined as I always do at EWC - like most people I don't go in for a $60 wax and just casually drop 900 bucks on a year worth of waxes that's some thing that I deliberately purchase and don't need to be asked every single time I get a wax. I wasn't even annoyed and even thanked her for doing the work, but she simply shook her head and checked out. Gotta say that went right up my behind and solidified my never returning to this location and prolly EWC altogether- it was giving me Barnes & Noble vibes where if you don't purchase their unneeded membership, then guilt you into thinking they're going to get fired basically. the quality of the wax they use has kept me coming back here since prior to Covid but I just don't know if it's worth the uncomfortable decline of wax passes every single time.

But, don't make me lie to you - that's exactly what I am. My first massage experience ended so horrifically I've been very hesitant to try a second time. However, as I'm preparing to run my first half marathon this weekend, and my legs have been feeling a bit sore, I decided it might do me some good to try again. After a little research, I found Therapeutic Solutions in Windsor. They had an informative website, fairly decent prices, and they scheduled me the same day I called. All good things. I arrived, filled out the pre-requisite paperwork, then met my masseuse David - from the start he was incredibly professional. Asking relevant questions about my health history and experience with massage to-date. I was able to explain to him my preferences and he confirmed exactly what I was looking for before he got started. He then checked in with me a few times throughout the session to ensure I wasn't feeling any pain, and that I was comfortable. The hour proved extremely relaxing and I left pleasantly loose and more importantly, pain free. My faith in massage has been restored!

I asked for the 30 minute Swedish massage, and they were able to fit me into the schedule the same day. When I first arrived, my first impressions were that the space was on the small side, but it was cozy nonetheless and very clean. I ended up getting massaged by Jaqcueline, the owner. She was super nice, and I left feeling like a million bucks. She managed to do a little of everything (my face, neck, arms, shoulders, and back) in such a small period of time. I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. I would definitely return!

Late last night (Sunday 5/31), around 8:00 or so PM, I was online looking at appointments for a massage. I selected a time for Tuesday (June 6/2) in which I was not scheduled to work, which was 1:30. At 3:30 today, Monday June 1, I was called into work during that time on Tuesday I had scheduled a massage. I called Massage Envy in South Windsor and explained that I need to reschedule due to work. I was told that I would be charged $65 for changing the appointment because I was outside of the 24 hours. I explained that I did not know two hours prior that I was going to have to go into work. I was told the policy remained. I then spoke to a manager who told me the same thing. I asked to speak to someone who had the authority to change this policy. I was told no onsite person could make that change, but that they would contact the senior person over that clinic and call me back. I did get a call back and they said they would waive the $65 if I rebooked right then over the phone for the therapists open slots for next week. I said I was very reluctant to commit a week out given the hard time I was given already today about needing to change due to my work schedule. I said I would need to call that day to know what my availability was, but she said to not be charged the $65 I would need to give them a date/time today. I was then told that the senior manager of that location said that my calling to change my appointment two hours after the 24 hour policy was keeping the massage therapist from "being able to eat". I reiterated that it hadn't even been 24 hours since I made the appointment online. And it wasn't confirmed until 9:00 this morning. I called to change the appointment at 3:30. That is 6 hours that the appointment was "in effect". I completely understand lining up employees and last minute cancellations or no shows. But I didn't cancel. I called to reschedule. And was still going to be charged $65. Essentially, the appointment was confirmed and in place for only 6 hours. I have the text confirmation to verify the time Massage Envy sent a confirmation text the following morning. I have worked in customer service my entire life. And this entire situation has me appalled, baffled and unwilling to do any business with Massage Envy. I have friends who have thought about doing facials, etc and I will advise them and anyone else never to book appointments here. There is an undercurrent of a scam and it doesn't sit right with me. Two hours. I found out two hours after the 24 hour window that I needed to reschedule for work purposes. Work changes that I had just found out about. However, the lady did explain that if I had a doctor's note, they would not charge me. A doctor's note? I'm a mid-forties woman, not a middle school student. In jest I said, "so someone could forge a note from a doctor and not get this $65 charge?" She said, "yes that is the policy". Unreal. Absolutely unreal. I do not for one minute believe that an appointment that had been "live" for 6 hours is going to cause that therapist to starve, nor do I think that calling within 2 hours of a window and asking to change times should be treated with such ridiculously "policy" rigor. Again, I completely understand the intent of the policy. But the execution of this policy in the way it played out for me, leaves zero customer focus as a priority. I intend to fight the $65 with my credit card company.
