The gentleman that did my nails sucks and told him several times the issues with my nails and just ignored my concerns , had another girl redo one of my nails he messed up on and at the end was charged extra for his mistake. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I made an appointment (I was not a walk-in) and I was doomed from the get go... The nail tech barely soaked my finger nails prior to my manicure, (water was cold) she not only could not get the polish I chose open (had to pick another color) but I could tell where she applied the top-coat and where she missed the rest of the nail. Then when it was time for my pedicure, she removed my polish, cut my toe nails and filed them prior to ever putting my feet into the water. She never even turned on the massage chair (I did it myself). I also had to ask her to roll my pant legs up so I wouldn't get them wet. As you can see in the photos, my feet are still dry and calloused and the paint job is atrocious! Her method of removing the sloppy polish from my skin was to use her fingernail! (FAIL) I just finished a two week long project at my house and was really looking for a relaxing experience... didn't find it here! read more

I went in as soon as the state opened up slowly from COVID. I needed to make an appointment which I appreciate. They took my temperature as soon as I walked in. They also had the shields up for the pedicure and no chip manicure. The prices did increase because of COVID. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I was told they only allowed 5 people at a time, there was definitely more than 5 people plus employees. read more

This was the WORST pedicure I've ever gotten. I had an older lady with glasses who painted my toes like my 6 year old would have,, left hard, dry skin all over my feet...what's the point of the pedicure? I really wanted to like it here because it's so close to home but I would never return. A man who spoke Spanish seemed to do an amazing job on the lady across from me though, maybe ask for him. Currently It's a pretty busy place but they don't always go in order of the customers who get there first. This was lucky for me and my mom but once they attended us. They didn't really keep a smile on their face. They didn't want us to get out but they didn't really care if we stayed face. I was horrified by how totally filthy this place was, dirt and dust everywhere. Nail salons should be extremely hygienic. My technician did not clean ONE tool before using them on me and when I tried to say something she didn't speak English. The foot and leg massage for my pedicure lasted about 30 seconds, all while I sat in a broken massage chair that kept me sitting upright and cramped the entire time. I would never go back. read more

I am very disappointed in my nail experience. I came in for a gel overlay and while the man was nice and courteous, my nails look horrible. I did not get any color just the shine and my cuticle look terrible and on some nails I have air bubbles. I went in to get a gel full set done and they started to give me acrylic. Quick crash course for those that aren't aware; REAL gel comes in liquid form not powder and liquid that's simply acrylic. So when I told the nail tech that it wasn't gel he got upset and tried to tell me it WAS gel. No it isn't, I'm not paying $35 for acrylic with gel top coat when it's only $25 for an acrylic set. read more

My experience at this salon was horrible. I will never come back. The nail tech was very RUDE. My cuticles were not pushed back and I wasn't given the oil. While she was doing my nails she even stopped to do her own nails. You feel rushed and unwelcome.The whole time the nail tech had an attitude. I have been to VIP a few times and it's sad to say I have only met 3 nice technicians who are happy to have clients. The others seen to assume we should be thankful they are doing our nails or any other service they offer as if they are not being paid. I need to mention that I continued to go there, because the 3 technicians are great in doing my nails and pedicure. Needless to say, about a month ago one of the technician's got a phone call while she was with a client ( the client was 21 years old), and she began to argue with the person who was on the other line and very loud, she stopped a few times doing the girl's nails and continued to argue loudly again. She or the other person hung up and she walked around a bit (with this young girl still sitting there waiting for her) came back, started to do her nails and got a call again, she stopped doing the girl's nails and starting talking loudly again. Altogether it was at least 20 minutes of this young girl's time. And, it was not as if the shop was empty. No consideration of having the young girl waiting, nor an apology. I gave them one star because of the experience my 14 years old granddaughter had. My daughter made and appointment for myself and my granddaughter. My granddaughter's appointment was with this same person who was arguing with someone on the phone my last visit, and I had Lynn (who is wonderful). The person at the 1st station seen that we walked in together, sat together, talked to each other with my granddaughter calling me grandma (there is a reason for this being pointed out). Well first we had a 12:15 p.m. appointment, my granddaughter is called first 12:40 p.m., then me at 1:05 p.m., (Lynn was very apologetic) I don't understand the purpose of an appointment. So, needless to say my granddaughter says she wants the Gel Nails, the technician does just that, but then asked her if she wants 'No Chip' polish after doing her nails with gel. My granddaughter is a bit confused on why she would ask, so she tells her what is the difference ... the technician tells her so her nails don't chip. My granddaughter assuming that was part of the process she says ok. When she got through with my granddaughter she said it was $10 more then what she expected to pay and besides that my granddaughter gives her a tip, cause her mom told her that is what she is to do. The young woman could have asked me .. I would have told her no, by this time Lynn is doing my pedicure so I don't know what is being said. I am highly upset, this was my granddaughter's first real check for working voluntarily before going back to school, and the woman she worked for felt she wanted to give her something for faithfully working with her and not complaining and not expecting anything. Just like the technician works for her money so did my granddaughter. When my granddaughter told her mom her mom was upset with her. I let her know it was not her fault. My daughter called the young woman who sits at the 1st station and told her just what I have texted and also told her the young woman who did my granddaughter's nails could have asked me, the 1st station girl says she did not know we were together. How sad for her to even say that. If you need to take advantage of young people, I don't need to go there. I will not be returning to VIP. Money does not grow on trees and I would like to think that if I am respectful to you ... why not do the same. I will definitely being telling those I know about our experience at VIP. Beware if you plan to take daughter(s) or granddaughter(s), ask first how much is it going to cost. read more

I have been coming here for years and they originally did a very good job but they recently got new techs who are absolutely horrible. I came here before my sectionals dance to get a full-set no chip which were completely uneven and bubbly. When I told her she told me that it was my fault cause my nails weren't held flat enough while drying. I went back the next day to get them fixed and they gave me the same girl who got mad and instead of taking to no chip off just painted over it. This resulted in me having to go get a fill in barely a week later due to it chipping. I went back last week to get my nails removed and they put me with the same girl again! She did not soak them and while I've had them popped off with another nail before she picked at my real nails with a cuticle cutter and ripped three of them in them halfway down. When I said that she was hurting me she got irritated and ignored me. While I know this is only one tech this place is also unsanitary! They use nail-files that are white from being so old. I have also watched them waterdown old nail polish with oil. Save your money! read more
