Worst nail job EVER! I had a manicure....seems easy. The lady that runs the register pulled me to the bar. She took a whole 30 seconds to soak my fingers. No consistency to filing, I asked for nails to be trimmed and she turned them into nubs. She wouldn't let nail polish set before applying next layer. Polish is gummy and won't set up, even after 2 hours. I have to get them fixed tomorrow. What a waste of time and money. read more

I frequented the prior nail salon at this location. There is now new ownership and the salon is stunning inside! It really is calming, clean, organized, and beautiful. The new owners redid everything! They have brand new everything. The salon is super clean and they are taking many precautions for COVID-19. They have plexi-glass set up at each station and hand sanitizer. Everyone was wearing masks and it was required to enter. They have a huge selection of polish, gel, and powder. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. I got a VIP pedicure and powder manicure. My nails look beautiful! The pedicure was very relaxing. Prices were a little higher than the old location, but still well worth the value! I highly recommend this location. read more

I gave 3 stars instead of 1 because this was my first bad experience at this nail salon, but it was so bad that I will not be back. Definitely look at the photos I have posted. TLDR version: she made me bleed during the pedicure, she scrubbed so hard with the sugar scrub that I have literal scratches on my legs, she didn't shape my nails the way I wanted despite me showing her a photo and they were uneven and crooked, and she kept scrubbing my skin with the electric nail file. The long version: -She made me bleed during the pedicure, and her excuse was that I had ingrown nails. I've only ever had an ingrown nail in one of my toes, and that was years ago. She kept saying "these toes hurt you, I'll make them better".... But I told her they didn't hurt until she started cutting them. I wasn't in pain before I came to the nail salon, but I'm still in pain the day after getting that pedicure. -I have scratches on my legs from how hard she scrubbed with the sugar scrub. The towels she used on my legs were scalding hot. And there was barely a massage given to my legs or feet (I'm talking maybe 30 seconds). -I asked for almond nails (see the photos below), and she shaped them square. They were really lumpy and uneven. For some reason she made them pink instead of natural/clear. -Worst of all, this is the first painful manicure I've ever had. I think she filed too much of my natural nail away because it really started to burn as she filed, and she kept scrubbing my skin with the electric file. I am so upset. I ended up fixing them at home, so they look kind of decent. I won't be back. read more

My pedicure was done on a Friday and by Monday I already had a toe almost completely chipped off and it's not like I was doing anything strenuous over the weekend to have caused this. It's been exactly one week and now 3 toes are chipped. I can usually make a pedi last 3 weeks, sometimes 4. My shellac manicure had streaks on the tips like the manicurist didn't use enough polish on the final coat or the polish was old and she was rude during my manicure. I didn't notice until I had left the salon and was almost home or I would've turned the car around. The gentleman who did my pedicure was nice however. I wonder if they just need to buy newer polish or better quality polish?? Hurts sometimes to waste money, spare yourselves. read more

I have been a loyal client to VIP for a while now... I loved the atmosphere and the nail techs there. I drive an hr from NC to go get my nails done. yesterday I went in and asked for the nails pictured... after driving home I realized there was black and nude polish all over my hands and it has came off of my nails. They were not properly dried. I sent a message to the lady who done them (Kenzie) and asked for a refund because I work 12 hour days the rest of the week and can't come to get them fixed because I'm also an hr away... she told me I wasn't able to be refunded per her boss... I messaged her boss and explained the situation and was trying to work with them but was denied my request for a refund. Sad to say that no matter how much I liked VIP I won't be going back. The spa was dirty, with old empty drink cans out, nothing was wiped down from previous customers, and the chemical smell smacks you in the face when you walk in! They need to clean up way more and better ventilate that space. They were also very sassy and I was not greeted when I entered. Plus, my nails were awful! I did not get the shape I asked for, the acrylic on my nails is crooked and lumpy, and the paint job was so bad I can still see my natural nail in some spots because they didn't even do a second coat. They also didn't give any attention to my cuticles or put any oil on afterwards. I have been getting my acrylic nails done for years and never had an experience this bad. I had to file and fix my nails when I got home after paying $50! read more

Absolutely not a VIP experience. My tech gave me instructions by poking me instead of speaking to me--and yelled at me for not interpreting a poke correctly. She lopped my toenails off short and crooked. Rather than moving me to one of the many open manicure tables, she did my mani in the pedi chair, stretching my arm awkwardly over my body and putting the soaking dish in my lap. She ran the rough file over each fingernail a couple of times to flatten the tip, and that was the extent of the manicure. My nails looked so bad that I shaped them myself at home after paying them to do it. When she finished, she walked away without a word. I stayed quiet through it all just to see what the standard was, and it's incredibly low. I'll never go back. Skip this place. read more

I was a walk in appointment and understood there would be a little bit of a wait, but after my nail tech finished with her other client not a single tool was sanitized. To make matters worse she drilled and prodded at my cuticles until they bled likely giving me an infection, as the drill bits were kept in an old altoids box and had visible remnants of prior clients. The nail tech proceeded to take a 15 minute call while I waited with wet acrylic all over my fingers. Very unprofessional. I was charged $60 for a manicure that began to lift the next day and had hairs encased in the acrylic. I went in to speak with a manger the following day and was told to sit down to talk and I explained I did not want them to fix my nails (as the tools were filthy and the nail tech did not wash her hands before assisting me) after explaining this the nail tech forcefully grabbed my hand and began to buff off the color as I repeatedly said no and pulled my hand away she would not release her grip. The lady doing my nails was rude and barely spoke to me, I told her how I wanted my nails and she acted like I was being annoying. She rushed through and my nails looked different shapes. I had to trim them down myself. 4 days after I got them done THE TIPS FELL OFF. Now 9 days in 3 tips are off!!! This is ridiculous and aggravating! PLEASE don't go here it's not worth it. Horrible, horrible experience. I went here for my bridal nails. My sweet friend wanted to purchase a vip pedicure for me. Unfortunately, I did not receive anything "VIP." It was a disaster. A child did the pedicure, younger than 18. (I later found out she was a child.) She only cut a few random nails, and those she cut were very jagged. The rest were left long. She continually dug into some nail corners, making them extremely painful. Not to mention, she burned my legs with hot stones. So hot I screamed out of reflex. It was embarrassing as I was surrounded by my bridal party. She put on very very thick gel polish in the wrong color, even though I asked for normal polish. I tried to kindly tell her about these issues several times, but she did not seem to understand. This nightmare experience took 2 agonizing hours... The morning of my wedding, I had horrible pain around my nails where she dug into them with sharp tools. And despite her digging, she left numerous sharp pieces of nail that dug into my skin. The mother/owner did my fingernails, gel polish. They were ok, but unfortunately when I tried to express my concern about this after my wedding the owner was extremely hateful and hung up on me. I love to support small businesses and wanted to give her a chance to make it right. The owner didn't care. I am so sorry my sweet friend wasted her hard earned money on this "gift." Awful experience. My daughter and I went there for the first time. They don't sanitize their tools and my nail tech make my cuticle bleed. They didn't charge me, which I appreciate, but I can't get over the fact that they don't sanitize their tools. Extremely disappointed and unsatisfactory service. The lady who did my nails was beyond rude and inconsiderate. She first off did not understand when I said no chrome finish when she asked. She continued to proceed to try and do the chrome and I said there must have been a miscommunication between us. She did 3 coats of clear dip powder and then just did a gel coat over it to make up for it. She did not even to offer to fix what she messed up. She also would blow on my nails- which is not my favorite thing ever but she was visibly SICK. She was sniffling and coughing and then would BLOW on my nails to sweep away the trimmings rather than just use the actual brush that is meant for that task. My nails are very short right now and she filed them so rough and so aggressive that I had to ask her to please stop. My nails are still sore hours later. I am also a long standing customer here (well over a year) and I have never been more upset and dissatisfied with a service. I will never return here again because it was THAT bad. I would highly discourage this place for EVERYONE. Not to mention the lady charged me for a manicure when she never touched or pushed back my cuticle. She was also appalling with her brisk rudeness and attitude. I know mistakes can happen (especially when you are sick like she was) and her attitude left me without words. I felt disrespected, taken advantage of, and disregarded for just another girl who wants their nails done. I understand the process and I have had my nails down for over 3 years now. do NOT recommend. the lady that did my nails (do not know her name) rushed through so much that when "cleaning" from under my nails, she separated 2 nails from my skin. after going from one client to myself, she did not use ANY clean utensils. my gel is goopy and lumpy. I got a regular gel manicure, one color and no designs. nothing special. the "hand massage" was about 3 seconds on each hand. when I got to the register she charged me for a "gel manicure-upgrade". no idea why I was charged extra and she was rude so I did not bother asking. I have never been this disappointed leaving a salon. needless to say, I won't be going back. read more
