It's been a while since I've ordered any of the smoothies Clutch offers, for as you can see in my…read moreprevious reviews the quality of those drinks seemed to slip over time. But I do drop by Clutch sometimes for coffee drinks, usually of the iced or frozen variety. They're pretty good, though if you pick any of the flavored stuff you should be prepared for the sugar rush that will set in thereafter. I often avoid the flavor additions for this very reason. On occasion they'll even slip in a few shots of espresso on the house, which makes for a nice boost if you're into that sort of thing. The young folks working here are always polite and quick, and they've never gotten one of my orders wrong. Their location isn't hard to find, but there isn't much room to navigate from their order window back through the driveway they share with a neighboring business and then onto Lewisville-Clemmons. The site layout simply isn't great, so be prepared to contend with that.

I had a Chicken Pesto Flatbread, and while the flavor was decent, it was served barely warmer than room temperature with a cold inside. The flatbread has what looks like grill marks but I imagine they come out of the package looking that way, because they were perfectly straight lines rather than following the curve of the folded bread. I can't imagine this ever saw a hot grill press. Cheese inside was cold instead of melted. I got the sweet potatoes side, and while they came out hot, they were very bland despite being billed as "Maple" potatoes. Wife had a Chicken Chipotle Club flatbread, which again had decent flavor but was cold and unimpressive in presentation. We also tried the Paradise Point smoothie (strawberry/banana/pineapple) and it was, to repeat a common theme... unimpressive. Generally bland in flavor, we didn't drink even half of it. The whole experience was bland and unimpressive from the decor to the staff to the food and drinks. This is the kind of fare you would pay too much for in an airport and eat just out of desperation on a quick layover.

I ordered the avocado toast with a fried egg and a smoothie, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, high quality, and made with organic ingredients. Is it a little pricey? Yes. But you're definitely paying for fresh, wholesome ingredients, and for me, it was worth it. If you're looking for a healthy breakfast or lunch option, I'd definitely recommend giving The Village a try! I witnessed the customer service representative make the smoothie and they definitely use very little amounts of fruit inside their smoothies and a whole lot of ice and water to prepare their smoothies.
