I had been researching a while in the Greater LA Area looking for the a shop that specialized in Tesla's and that were a certified outlet of Xpel Films. Matt and his team did amazing work on my Tesla where I had Xpel Prime XR Plus installed throughout. Matt also tossed in some additional interior protection film on high touch, glossy areas in the middle console (thx Matt!). They did a super clean job through and through, no issues at all. Felt very comfortable as Angie explained the various shades of tint & their affects on windows that had manufacture's tint already. The different qualities of tint were explained without myself feeling pressured to lean one way or another. VIP RECON finished product was a masterpiece. Had PPF installed on the front bumper and hood of my new 2023 BMW X3. Install is seamless and can't even tell it's there! Very nice job. Also tinted my front windows to match OEM and again no issues with the install. For the rest of the car I added the ceramic coating protection. Cost can add up real fast so I did the most I could based on my budget and owning a black car is essential to avoid swirl marks. Car was completed in a timely manner. read more

Got a 2017 Chevy Volt LT. They tinted my car 5% in the back and 20% in the front along with a visor strip. Nice place and they have Netflix while you wait for your car to be tinted. They have cold water also and a comfortable couch to lounge while you wait. Almost fell asleep in the couch it was so comfortable! I went with the Suntek Carbon tint since it doesn't fade and keeps the interior of the car cool. Nice professional job and I was in and out in an hour since they weren't busy. This is the second vehicle I brought to VIP recon and as you can see on picture the tint looks amazing at 5% visible. This is just the basic tint, 5% visible, I go for just the basic because I lease out my vehicles for 2-3 years. The basic tint I had on my previous car had no signs of bubbling and looked excellent after 2 and a half years so I can imagine the more top tier tints are excellent quality if that's what you're into. I got my windows tinted at this place this morning and was very happy with how quickly I was able to get back on the road (less than an hour). I am not sure whether the installer was advised that I was in a bit of a rush and rushed through the task, but as I got to my destination, I started noticing some issue. The issues were not necessarily with the tint itself, but with other components. The speaker that's by the window on the left side door was not inserted all the way back in so the wiring was showing. I popped it back in myself and this was not a big deal at all. Next-- the same part on the right side door has minor damage to the speaker mesh that I know for a fact was not there (see pic). Lastly, I noticed a scuff on the trunk hatch between the glass and the spoiler and now it is something I'll have to buff out (hopefully it comes off) when I get home. The pic of this is also attached. It definitely sucks when you bring in a vehicle that has less than 500 miles on it for an upgrade and get it back looking like "it's been through some stuff". read more
