Once I flip over I'm asked "How much Money you have?" Confused, I asked why? She then offers me an "upgrade" in which I declined and the session was immediately over. If I can rate this place 0 stars I would. This has to be the worst massage I ever gotten. I only came because the place is down the street from my house. I paid for an hour massage and only received 40 minutes. The masseuse also walked out the room to talk to another employee while I was getting my massage. It felt like the masseuse was just rubbing oil on my body without and massage techniques. My little sister gives better massages than this place and she's only 10! I can't wait to tell you this unbelievable experience... unbelievable as in bad. Told the guy I wanted deep pressure, I thinks not. Thai massage should be a combination of yoga type stretching and deep pressure points. He lathered me up with oil and ran his hand across my back over and over again. Worst part... After about 45 minutes (thinking he was going to stretch me at the end) someone yells from outside the room in Thai, the guy looks at me and says "suppose to be 90 minutes?" I nod yes, he leaves the room for 5 minutes, comes back proceeds to lather my arm for the next 15 minutes (basically trying to pass time). I stop him and tell him I'm done and I walk out. As I walk out, there are 5 Thai girls in the waiting area. One is sleeping on the couch, the others were either on the phone or talking to each other in Thai. She didnt say a word the whole massage (which is ok), but I just didnt feel like she wanted to be there in the first place. But I guess what's important is the massage quality, and that I can say was one of the worst massage I have ever received. She gave me the impression that either it was her first time, or she just had no idea what she was doing. We live right down the street so we were excited to see this place coming in the shopping center. Very quiet and dark and smells so good as soon as you walk through the door. Zac is fantastic and I feel as though I'll be going back to him on a weekly basis with such affordable rates. The phone number on this YELP PAGE is incorrect though. Was here last weekend and asked for a thai/swedish comb. I found this place lil creepy. As soon as I have entered people started staring at me like i was a maroon doing something at their spa.When I said I have an appointment and they asked me to pay first and it was then I figured out that they dont accept any cards. The person who did my massage was ok . Basically, he just massaged my foot and shoulders.And the only thing that bothered me was, he kept on checking on me once in every 5 minutes if i was doing ok. Dada is good. Really good. But I had a massage with another guy and I don't think he knew what he was doing. It was all over the place and I left with a cramp in my leg. It's super cheap and my masseur was male! Totally nice chatty fellow. Great strong hands released a lot of built up pressure in shoulders and right leg. You do get what you pay for though- but an hour for $35 is like crazy cheap so if you're looking for stress relief on a budget, come and get it here! Remember, it's not Burke Williams!!! Please be mindful of it and you'll be fine. They are gay friendly as the owner is gay and have 3 convenient locations to serve you- Here, another nearby on Curson and Pico and another one by LAX. I love Thai/ combo massages & always enjoy someone walking on my back. This place is great because the lights are low, the rooms are separate & it's quiet so you can relax. I would not recommend this place. Apparently $20 tip is not enough. (when a massage cost $45 per hour) They refused to book appointments for me. When I asked "Why?" A woman that work there said I don't tip enough. I've consistently tipped $20. I've had many massages at other places and they were thankful for 44% tip!! I had been hearing so many praises about the Thai/Combo massage so I just had to try it!! Yep, it was just what I've been needing! I was a little cynical about having my back walked on in the past, but it's actually very therapeutic!! It's so quiet and easy to relax due to the low lighting and separate rooms. Paid the receptionist in the front for a 1 hour massage. I am taken to a dirty, filthy room with dirty sheets on the massage table. Masseuse comes in and tells me she's going home in 15 minutes and they will close then, but if I give her a $60.00 tip she can stay for 30 minutes! I told her I paid for a 1 hour massage and I wanted a refund. She leaves the room, then about 5 minutes later, all the lights in the place go out! I get dressed and find my way in the dark to the reception area to get my refund, and everyone is gone! I call this a well-orchestrated robbery. If you are in need of a massage, avoid this place! They should be reported to the health Department for dirty conditions and to the District Attorney for robbing me. If I could give 0 stars, I would. ehh idn how to rate this place, first of all started with a Thai and Swedish combination massage, and the guy in front ask if i want a guy or a girl so i pick a guy (which is the guy that just talked to me in the front desk call Justin) then he lead me into a room with a bed laying on the floor, he told me to remove all the cloth, so i did taking off my shirt and pants, so it leaves me with my boxer, i laid down on the bed on the floor after removing the clothes, and the massage guy comes in , i was facing down on the bed and he starts doing his job, but what i feel weird is he "TAKES OFF MY BOXER" as well, and this is the first time im doing a thai massage so idn if this is the way they are doing. So I did not question this , so he start massage and i did not find anything wrong until about 20 mins later he started to focus on my butt area and massage by butt crack so i felt something is wrong, the he tells me to turn around which " i was completely NAKED" . When he rubbing through my body , he open my legs wide and start rubbing my my inner thigh area, and sometimes, idn if he intentionally touch my "private part" or he did it on purpose, and he keeps going on my inner legs for about 2-5 mins then he start touching my "private part" which i felt really really weird and felt like i should leave, but i didnt because i think this is gonna be over soon since is almost the time. VIP Thai Day Spa is walking distance from me so was happy to try a local place to support a local business and also to have a easy to get to massage place. I took my disabled mom there for a massage and they said they were not therapists. I said, sure we are here for massages and not therapy. After arguing amongst themselves of who had to massage my mom [which made my mom feel bad], they finally got her into a room to massage her and I went into another. 30 min into the massage, mom had to go to ladies room and when we returned they ended the massages for both of us [I did not check the clock but I will assume it did not take us 30 min to pop into the ladies room]. We were the absolute only patrons in the place, no one waiting in the waiting room [except the employees laying on the couches]. No lines outside the door. There was no reason not to resume the massages. The massage for me was mediocre. You know how you have that relaxed yay! feeling? and it lasts a day or two? ....not the case for this massage. Mom said hers was not that good and she felt they did not want her there. Oh yeah! They made us pay before the massage.... that was a bad sign that I should have read! I wanted to support a local business but rather have a business that practices discrimination to disabled people to do business elsewhere. I really enjoy this place. Been a few times and am always satisfied. I have had Dada twice and she gives one of the better massages in LA. She can vary her pressure depending on what you ask for and has clearly studied massage. I can't remember the other girl's name that I had, but she provided a good massage as well (although not as good as Dada). What a great little pearl of tranquility... right in the middle of LA ..I have been going too a old Thai Masseuse for years at Nuch salon and he went back home last year ... luckily , I pass by the spa on the way to my overseas bank .... about 8 months ago I stopped by the spa to give it a try and I was met by several studious (ESL) guys and gals who were very friendly . I never know when i'm going too have the time to squeeze in a massage so i never make a reservation ..The good news is that I have never had a bad massage yet and never had to wait....I know three masseuses by name Marsha , Pinky and Stephenie and they are all excellent ... one is my favorite , but I won't say who ... I have only been moved to go out of my way once before on yelp..That was summer before last after a week on Catalina Island where I stayed at the Aurora hotel which had the coolest little rooms with the softest temperpedic beds which were just what I needed after doing everything in the way of tourist activity ..(hiking , kayaking , snorkeling , Rock hounding , miniature golf twice a day etc.) with my 9yr old son..well back to my review ..My son & I have taken up golf and I have over done it several times last summer which drove me to look for some help in the form of a massage ..I have never felt better spending $60 tip included for an hour of quality relaxation and revitalization ..If you have the time and the extra cash indulge yourself ..and best of all everyone is smiling ..Just like when I visited Thailand ..Enjoy ! read more
