I got to VIP this morning around 8am as my serpentine belt hung by a thread. Jenn got my information, priced out the estimate and Mike and his team went to work. Beware of the rude scam artists at VIP. My wife took our car in for an inspection sticker, and they, without telling her, took the opportunity to put the car on a lift and remove all the tires. They then failed the car for the rear brakes, claiming no pads were left, and the caliper had seized. Below is a picture of the pads they claimed were terrible but were basically new. There was a broken sway bar link but a sway bar link does not fail an inspection. Please note an NH state inspection does not require the car to have the tires removed. You also need to remove the tires to inspect the brake pads on our vehicle, so they went on a fishing expedition and lied about the vehicle's state to take advantage of an unsuspecting customer. There was no grinding, and the car stopped perfectly fine. I am still trying to figure out how they could determine or, with a straight face, say that the perfectly good caliper was seized. So, of course, they took the liberty of handing my wife, who trusted these folks, a quote for rear brakes, a caliper, and a sway bar link for over $1000. Folks, these are simple fixes anyone can perform in their garage. To give an idea of what a shake-down this place is, they had quoted $80 for a sway bar link. I know they need to mark up parts for profit, but they go for about $20 at your local auto store. The brake pads and rotors cost $212; they quoted over $600, charging two hours of labor. Again, folks, that's an enormous amount of markup, including labor. To make matters worse, we missed the 30-day deadline to have the car reinspected for free by 3 days, and they refused to offer any assistance or goodwill after lying horribly about failing the vehicle the first time. Perhaps not the company itself but the management and employees at this location are dishonest scumbags steering people into overpaying for cheap simple fixes. I'd think twice about any potential work you do with them or sending your wives, daughters, or mothers to these scammers. Lastly, this doesn't even touch on how rude and dismissive everyone we interacted with at this location behaved and that on our second trip, they "lost the reservation." Thankfully, we had the text confirmation. I'm noticing in other reviews this is a pattern. The second we didn't want to pay the excessive quote, the team at VIP couldn't be bothered with us. Here's my suggestion for VIP: Stop using the NH inspection process as an opportunity to give customers bloated, bogus quotes they didn't ask for and gouging people. Or stop offering inspections altogether. Oh, and maybe send your employees for soft skill training. read more

Very nice employees and clean facility. The waiting room is updated, clean, they have water bottles/tv/wifi. They're straight forward in their pricing and aren't trying to rip you off, seemed like they genuinely cared about getting you the best deal, and also were quick with their service. I enjoyed my tire experience at VIP in Seabrook in N.H. yesterday. I usually go to the VIP Tires in Lowell Ma. but I had some time to kill in Seabrook so I dropped by to get a slow leak fixed. They squeezed me in and fixed my tire and gave me a cash discount. Apparently I built up some cash rewards that I didn't even know about. The visit from begining to end was exceptional. read more

Great for oil change only would not go there for service. The mechanic talked down to me. Did repairs that were not essentially needed. Tried to "upsell" me on a repair that would "save me money in the long run" but cost me $500 more . They had my car for 8 days read more

Went for a free ac check. Without being told price they recharged system. Was told all fixed with 90 day warranty. Cost $235 really had no problem with that. Ac lasted 20 minutes. I had told them I had recharged it and it didn't last. Went back and they said they would do diagnosis which I thought they had done the first time with a dye check. 20 minutes later they said they found the problem and it would be another $800. The unbelievable part is they charged me another $165 for five minutes of work ( I watched). So I left spending$400 and got nothing in return So much for my free ac check. read more

got a flat on my snowmobile trailer on 95, about a half mile from their exit. The socket cracked when I went to change it. After a quick google search, I pulled into their shop, they changed the tire, checked the air in the other ones, and I was back on the road in 20 minutes! THANKS GUYS! read more
