I caution anyone working with this company don't be fooled with the 4.8 star rating all of those ratings are from more than 3 years ago when the company was understand different ownership. I wish I caught that earlier. I contracted with this company to clean my bathroom tiles and remove a stain. We agreed on a work date. When it came time to do the work no one showed up and they asked to reschedule. I obliged to reschedule because I needed the work done. Then the owner said he had an emergency and had to go to London, I was understanding. I asked for my $500 deposit back he agreed and I have it in writing. That was over a month ago. I have been asking over and over again for the deposit back and I have been given empty promises at every turn. Do not send these people a dime! You will regret it and have your money stolen. I'm so impressed with the amazing job they did with my marble countertops in the kitchen. Our tenants had completely destroyed them. They had gouges and nicks and blotches and stains all over and when daylight - or any light - hit them the counters looked terrible. Chris came by a few weeks ago and gave me a quote and today Ali and Umer came by and spent almost seven hours grinding them down and polishing them and restoring them to an absolutely gorgeous brilliant finish. Chris at HydroShield came out and spent all day laboring over our walk in shower. It is marble and over the past 5 years or so has gotten grimy and had mold in the grout. We couldn't use harsh chemicals to clean it since it would ruin the marble. HydroShield was the perfect solution for us. Chris got it looking new again and then rechalked it and protected all the surfaces. Now we don't have to worry about mold reforming, and he left a special cleaner for us to use as well. However, the grout color was poorly matched after drying. I contacted him multiple times over many weeks to fix the grout color mismatch. When I previously used this company when Chris the owner ran things a few years ago, I was very satisfied. Unbeknownst to me until recently, I learned he sold the company to two fellows that supposedly worked for him. Therefore, I reasonably expected the service would remain the same. When Asim came out last Monday, we had a good conversation and he sent me the quote in about two days. I then responded the same day to him to go over several questions on some things he forgot to include in the quote and subsequently after speaking with him, I accepted the quote the same day I received it. We then scheduled for Tuesday/9 AM of this week and he didn't show up then, but rather responding to me by text around 10:45 AM to enquire about his arrival time which he then said would be arriving between 11AM-12PM because he was running behind, but confirming he would have the project finished today. He then called me later the same day to say he didn't have one of the products he needed to clean one part of one floor. So, we rescheduled for Wednesday of this week. Again, no word from him until after the scheduled arrival time saying one of his employees was having issues and that he couldn't come today, so I agreed to try one more time and rescheduled for today, Thursday. He promised to show up at 9:00 AM this morning and when 10:00 AM came around he was still not here and texted me saying they were "on the way" at which point I cancelled the service and have been spending today looking for new companies to schedule estimates. Asim wasted three days of my time, in addition to having moved everything for the work and swept to ensure everything was clean and ready for them to start. While he offered $100 off the project, I found the excuses and lack of candor to be totally unprofessional. I will not be engaging this company again and suggest others proceed cautiously. read more

I contacted the company online and received a call/voice mail from Asin on April 5, 2022. I called him back and we set up an appointment for April 7, 2022 at 2pm for him to come out and take a look at the work I wanted done in my master bath. He called about an hour before he was scheduled to arrive and told me the owners of the project he was working on had requested a different sealant and he had to travel one hour back to the shop to get it. He would not be able to keep his appointment. I told him that was fine, we could reschedule. I expected to hear back from him. I did not. I called him the afternoon of April 8, 2022 to ask when he was going to be able to return. No answer. I left a voicemail. I got a missed call from his number that afternoon (no voicemail was left). I called back and left another message on Monday, April 11, 2022 and again on April 12, 2022. No call back. read more

Originally VSR started to use a grout color I was not comfortable with so I expressed my concerns with Chris and immediately was able to find another color that suited my tile color. Virginia Stone Restoration did a fabulous job regrouting, refinishing, cleaning, and sealing the marble in my master bathroom (bathroom floor and shower). The previous home owners renovated the master bathroom and they never sealed the stone as evident by the nicks, scratches, and general overall dull appearance. Additionally in many places the once white grout was a grungy gray or just cracked/missing. After Virginia Stone Restoration finished, it looked like my floor was brand new. I couldn't believe what a difference it made! There was a lot of work completed; it was all done in one day. After everything dried and I could walk in the bathroom, I noticed a few spots that were missed which was easy to do considering how much work was completed that day. I emailed the owner Chris and he was very apologetic and sent a crew over to repair the spots to my satisfaction. I appreciated the great customer service. The quality of work was excellent, Chris was very responsive, the workers were polite and eager to please, and the pricing was in line of other quotes I received.
