This is the best place for nails in Middle Tennessee AND for a very reasonable price. I noticed some negative reviews complained about wait times. Unless you call ahead for an appointment, you should expect to wait. However, this reflects the excellent quality of service provided. Virtue Nail Spa stays busy because they provide excellent service for reasonable prices. Typically you can make an appointment for the same or next day. So plan ahead just a little bit! It's worth your time. I also noticed another review stated they were told a pedicure would cost $15. Seriously?! Use some common sense and realize there isn't a shop around that cheap. If there was, you should probably question the quality. I have been a customer for well over 4 years. Even though I have moved to Murfreesboro, I still make the drive atleast once a month. It is worth my time to know my nails will look great, last typically 3 weeks, and not be rushed. I was a little disappointed with my service and my nails today. I just moved to town and am looking for a new nail place. I told the girl how I wanted my nails and I thought it was ok. When I told the 2nd girl that came to do my nails how I wanted them, she wouldn't do them that way. I'm rough on my nails so I do the pink solar overlay with a shellac French over them. She wouldn't do the shellac. That's the only way to keep them looking good after 2 weeks. I was disappointed because the reviews were wonderful! If the young girl was more friendly I'd feel comfortable going back and asking for them to be redone. I wouldn't have sat through the mani if they weren't going to do my nails the way I like :( read more

Virtue is the best! I used to hop around to different places in town for nail services, feeling like they were all pretty similar, until Virtue. I've been going there exclusively for 2 years for my gel manicures, and I refuse to go anywhere else! Their gel manicures stay on so much better... No lifting or chipping even past the 2 week mark! Some people have a certain technician they prefer, but I don't have a preference at Virtue... Everyone there is excellent!! read more

Even though I live in Murfreesboro, this is the only nail salon I will come too. Clean, great techs & environment is very pleasant.

One of the best manicures I have ever gotten. It seriously lasted me a month and a half with NO chips. It didn't look great, but that was due to my nail growth, not due to their nail expertise, which is absolutely perfect. They also really hook it up with the little kid clientele, making them very happy with multicolor mani-pedis as well. read more

By far my favorite nail salon here in Nashville! Always very friendly! There has been a few times I've had to wait a few mins before starting my manicure or pedicure however, worth the wait. This was the second time I have been to Virtue Nail Spa!! Since I am not a planner and have a very flexible schedule I love that I have been able to just walk in and get my nails done. Today I had a Virtue Spa Pedicure and SNS dip nails. This was by far the best pedicure I have had since moving to Nashville. This is about the third or fourth time I have been there. They make you wait so long. This time, the girl took me right back, ran th water, did not put anything in it, never offered me anything to drink. She leaves tells me to put my feet in, the water is luke warm at its best. After 25 minutes I tell her I am leaving. she just looks at me. I won't go back any more. I think they should have someone to take care of you then or just tell you to come back. Anyone who knows me can testify that I'm a stickler for good customer service. I'm like this about pretty much everything, from restaurants to department stores. Because of my high standards, I really stick to one place for a manicure and a pedicure. To me, not all nail salons are pretty much the same. The truth is that it's rare to find a technician with whom you're so impressed that you make an effort to go see her every week or two. Owned and operated by a family is a salon for picky busy ladies, and anyone who appreciates high touch customer service. As for pricing, it's pretty standard, the place is beautifully decorated and super clean making for an experience worthwhile. Bottom line: I'm a loyal costumer that has followed them around the Nashville area. I take my friends here to show them how awesome their nails can be, too. I went in for a pedicure. My big toe still hurts two weeks later. While shaping my big toe, she used the scalpel-looking tool with a triangle-shaped end, and managed to stick it half way up the UNDER-side edge of my big toe nail. I haven't been able to get around for almost 2 months for medical reasons & was looking forward to getting my nails looking nice again. I sat down for a full set & was ignored as my nail tech (I believe his name was Calvin?) complained to a co-worker for 15 minutes about "Obama Care". He finally started on my nails with no apology & was immediately way too rough. The nail file sliced my skin on several fingers, instead of using the brush to remove debris from my hands he slapped off the dust causing the back of my hands to actually sting, and instead of kindly asking for my other hand, he would sternly poke me or yank my finger towards him causing a couple to pop out of socket. I was in tears through the whole service, mostly out of embarrassment to say anything & disappointment I had made the mistake to come here. My nails were initially square the way I like them but when he did the final filing, he completely rounded them off. I finally had enough, I was so upset I told him I needed to speak to a manager because of the pain & lack of communication on the shape. He denied the cuts on my cuticles, saying I had them before I got there, & doused each nail in alcohol. Upon getting the manager, he bullied me into showing my method of payment, and took my card to the register to charge it before I could even speak to the manager. The manager was immediately defensive & said I didn't understand the process of acrylic nails. They interrupted me as I tried to explain myself & laughed sarcastically when I shared that I was embarrassed to say anything sooner. I've been getting a full set for over 10 years, I am very well informed on the process. He even suggested I stop getting the service since my cuticles were so dry (he soaked them in alcohol before getting the manager over there?) & because I was "so sensitive" & proceeded to firmly press down on each nail asking "Does that hurt? Does that hurt?" It eventually led to him suggesting I was trying to get a free service because I hadn't complained sooner - I'm sorry, I thought jerking back in pain as the smaller drill bit was dug into the middle of my nail bed was a good hint! After arguing for 20 minutes in front of customers & coworkers, I had to leave to go to work, I didn't have time to continue defending myself that I was not asking for hand-outs, even a simple apology would have done but "sorry" was never uttered. Needless to say, I was basically tortured during my service, left without even wanting them painted I felt so attacked, mortified in front of everyone, and charged the full amount of $28 without my permission. I feel so bullied, abused, and my confidence is shot. I work in the beauty industry & I can assure you, I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs. No one deserves to be treated like a complete dog like that. read more

This is the second time that I have visited Virtue.....each time i have called ahead for an appointment. I waited an hour the first visit and left. Today, I waited another hour! The only reason I stayed today was because I was with other people. The place didn't seem to have too many customers so I think they're most likely understaffed. Today was the second time I've TRIED to go to this nail salon. The first time they were at least up front about it being a 30 minute wait, so I left. Today, they said I'd be seen right away. After sitting in the pedi chair with my feet in water for 30 minutes I got up and left. No one offered me a drink or anything.
