Kim helped restore old letters that my grandfather had written to our family while he was drafted in WW2 using Victory-mail ("V-mail"). The originals were in poor condition, and I wanted to gift copies that would last to family members. Kim restored them to their original condition and printed them on paper rated for 500 years. She helped us research how V-mail letters appeared with regard to their color and markings and was so easy and thoughtful to work with, offering different ideas and options along the way. We were able to pick from a variety of different backgrounds and props. (But we ended up keeping it simple with a grey back ground). Some of the color options we wanted, the photographer recommended avoiding due to the contrast of my hair, or our white button ups (so I appreciated the honest feed back!) then, I was able to eat a quick lunch while some of the photos printed and were sent to my email. For the services and quality, I thought the cost was very affordable and reasonable. He was very helpful and reached out to me before the wedding to get a feel for my vision for the photos. I wish I would have researched shots that I wanted more in advance to the wedding to ensure all of the ones I wanted were taken, in the moment it is easy to become overwhelmed and forget. There was maybe only 2 or 3 poses I would have included and we had over 600 to pick from so we have plenty of choices. DW was kind and fun during the wedding. His use of light in the photos were genius and turned out beautiful in the photos. I ordered several photo books from DW and they were wonderful. He even included hand written holiday cards for the people I was gifting them to. That was such a thoughtful and special detail! I definitely recommend using DW for a wedding photographer. We truly cherish all of the lovely photos and the memories from that day. In hindsight, I would have added more time because 2 hours were not enough to include pictures of the dances and some other important moments of us and our guests.
