These guys are AWESOME!!! Our original connection was in February 2022, when I called on advice to get my Dynabook, purchased for Christmas in 2021, working. The seller, NOT Vision Computers, hadn't handled the last 50+ updates, so they left me hanging with a computer I couldn't even use. Vision Computers FOUND and FIXED EVERYTHING. Just had Adam from Vision Computers to solve a major problem with my laptop. It only took him less than 7 minutes to assess my situation & Repair it in the comfort of my home. You really can't expect better service than that. I am a BIG fan of VC. My laptop was hacked due to my stupidity. I responded to a rash if 13 phone calls telling me my Apple account had been breached. VC came in promptly evaluated my problem & set my computer secure & clean. I used to buy a lot of computers from Vision. Tarun, the owner, has built his company over the years based on reliability, and trustworthiness. It is a solid, reputable company and Tarun always treated me right. I really don't know why we started using Dell's at my company, which I guess is a little pathetic. You see, when I say, my company, I do mean my company. As I became less involved in day to day IT management and my role became one of just signing PO's, began to let the guy who runs that department make the decisions. Even though I own my own company, I don't like to micromanage, and while I like Vision Computers well enough, I like happy, productive employees even more. In any case, I think Tarun and his crew at Vision do a great job. The staff is smart, they are there for you when you need them to be, and it is way easier to do business with them than it is Dell. Vision Computers is not what it used to be. I bought my first computer from them in 2008 with great customer support. The last system I bought from them has had continual problems and the technical support is awful. A recent trouble shooting episode left my hard drive cleared! Not since signing up for Yelp have I wished I could give a company zero stars. Not since using this website, even after having a less-than-satisfactory experience with a business have I felt compelled to announce it on Facebook, email and by every other means at my disposal. This time, I will. Go through my previous reviews. Most are positive, even the ones that aren't I don't presume malicious intent on part of the business in question. This time I am. And this is a warning: do not purchase a computer from Vision Computers in Norcross, GA. You do so at your own peril. My girlfriend and I recently purchased a high-end computer from Vision totaling over $2,500. This computer was designed to be able to quickly handle high-end architectural renderings. Before purchase, we sent the program specs and detailed list of what the machine needed to do the sales agent. All started well enough, the computer was ready when promised, taken home and setup. Then the problems began. The speakers were not properly connected so the computer had to be returned and repaired. My girlfriend is the expert in this particular architectural program for which is the primary purpose of this computer and noticed something was immediately amiss. A brand new computer with an i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, a solid state hard drive and a 4 GB Nvidia video card was performing notoriously slow. Slower, in fact, than a four year old computer running Vista! No panic at first. We contacted the software company, reinstalled multiple times, and verified with technical support that the program was indeed recognizing the video card, that the video card itself recognized the relevant program, and that all other settings within the program were set up properly. Thus, we were advised to contact technical support at Vision. What a disaster. With one exception they were rude, belligerent, not especially knowledgeable and completely unwilling to help or take accountability for the failings of the product they created. When they couldn't solve the problem over the phone, they did not ask us to bring the computer to the store such that they could investigate the problem more thoroughly or run some more advanced diagnostics. We were given the middle finger. Hoping that we would get better results next time with a different agent, we called back. Same result. Middle finger in our faces. The machine was taken to Vision for inspection, and the rude tech spoken with over the phone practically had to be shouted down in order to get him to look at it. There, we received the mind boggling advice that we should use just "use AutoCAD" instead of the program for which the machine was built. That's right. Just stop using the program with which you make a living and switch to a different one. An entire day was wasted in dingy, run down office resembling prison lobby. Ultimately, the unusable machine had to be returned, for which we paid a 15% restocking fee. You do the math. We had little choice, however, as this brand new computer performed substantially worse than a four year old machine running Vista. In fact, some plans opened in relevant program were completely non-functioning. You do business with Vision Computers at your own risk. After purchase, you will not be able to rely on competent technical support, nor will you be treated with anything but the utmost contempt when you contact them. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I recommend in the strongest possible terms that you avoid this company like the plague. You'd be better off trying to build your own computer. Pros: Nothing. Cons: Incompetent, rude and belligerent technical support staff. Product does not performed as promised. Verdict: Would not recommend to my worst enemy. read more

Tech services guys were horrible. I brought my daughters (admittedly lower end) laptop in to have them fix the power supply - the part of the power supply that you plug into the PC had become bent, and I suspect the part on the mother board was also damaged. They charged about $225 to fix it (more than the Laptop was worth) - which included a "new" power cord. 90 days later, the "brick" part of the power cord had melted. The PC would no longer boot either. They were biligerant, and would accept no responsibility. They said they were not responsible because it was past their 30 day warranty. Nooo waaaay. The only things that changed with the laptop were the power supply and whatever they did to the insides. We were taken advantage of in a big way. NEVER going to do business with these tech support guys again!!!!! read more

Sorry Vision but you have lost my trust. I have purchased several computers over the years and paid for the annual maintenance. Now you have wiped my computer and are unwilling to do anything to restore it. Shame on you. Not sure if there was a change in ownership or what happened. I spent 20 minutes on hold Friday evening and then was told someone would call back shortly. Never received a call back. I called back Monday and tech was unwilling to help. Maybe I wasn't your biggest customer but you have lost a long time customer. read more

I bought my laptop from Vision Computers about 18 months ago. The big sell for me was the reliability of the computers and the many good things I had heard about its tech support staff. I have called their tech support a total of 6 times and in each case a live person has answered the phone within 3-5 rings. No being put on hold or punching in an endless series of numbers for a computer. Recently, several keys on my keyboard stopped working. I contacted tech support and they mailed out a replacement keyboard the same day. I got the keyboard 4 days later and they walked me through on how to replace it. I was done 10 minutes later. (They did offer to do it for free if I mailed my computer back to them, but I opted to do it myself.) Excellent service, no waiting for tech support, and I could understand everyone I talked to. These guys are great! I stopped in on my way home from work after just about pulling my hair out trying to fix a problem with a Lenovo laptop. They were listed as a Lenovo reseller so after hitting so many dead ends online and at the place my company takes computers to I decided to take a gamble and give them a try. It was a great decision! Lenovo uses a bunch of what I would call bastard parts that are proprietary blends of things you can't buy from just anyone or at a low price. Not only did Vision Computers have the part in stock but they had me up and running and back on my way home in about 20 minutes for a very fair price! While I am usually good enough to avoid having to pay someone; if I ever have anymore headaches out of this Lenovo this will be the first place I stop. I mention to Rahul (the tech who made the repair) that I was going to put Ubuntu back on the machine instead of Windows 7 now that everything was back up and running and he was even helpful enough to write down what driver I would need for the part he installed. I am impressed and while I hope I never need them again I know where to go if I do need some help. read more

Vision Computer Tech Support is not what they advertise. I purchased a computer from Vision because they advertise US tech support with average wait time of 15 seconds. However, as soon as they pick up they ask to put you on hold (as if you had a choice) After a 20 minute wait, the only thing their tech support does is tell you have to call the manufacturer to get support for your computer. Probably just as well, I couldn't understand a word the Vision Computer rep was saying anyway! read more

Ok, We have bought 7+ computers and laptops from here. This is how vision computer works: You will not get the fastest, bleeding edge computer here that pwnz n00bs! You will not get the cheapest computer here (although it generally is comparable in price to dell etc) What you will get, is a system made with intel and other name brand components that is certified to work reliably w/o driver conflicts, etc. Their tech support is great and very knowledgeable. If your hardware or software crashes, they will fix it. If your laptop breaks, they will fix it. Unlike sony, they will not say they did and send you the exact same machine back. You trade speed for reliability, and trust me folks, those pastel motherboards at micro center are not *made* for reliability, they are made to eat your time as you suck down beer after beer trying to fix a d*mn driver issue wondering why you had to have a dual-raid (ide/sata) SLI/crossfire setup! That being said, today's computers are fast enough that there is no reason to concern yourself with a few megahertz here or there. Give this place a try, you will like it. Ask for Raj. read more

I just purchased my fourth desktop computer from Vision since 1994. Only once did I have to take a unit back because of some flaw right after purchase. Other than that, their machines have been work horses. The one I just replaced I purchased more than 6 years ago. I would have kept using it but the HP screen is what actually failed. One of the best things about Vision is that when I call tech support, a person answers the phone. I can recall only once or twice when I was put on hold, but only briefly. Their normal warranty is for three years at no additional cost. Compare that to the big box retailers, which charge huge amounts for similar coverage. Whatever premium I pay for Vision's products, I don't believe it amounts to much more than similarly powered brand name computers. In any case, it's well worth it just for the comfort of knowing they will solve my problem quickly and I NEVER have to sit on the phone listening to elevator music for 20 minutes before talking to someone who just goes down a pre-written list, or wade through exasperating self-help Web pages. My computer kept crashing and was charged a diagnostic fee because I had upgraded the RAM on my own. Got it back and the computer kept crashing enough to kill the hard drive. That was replaced under warranty but they said the computer was fine but they suggested a more powerful power supply. ($$) I finally got an identical motherboard and swapped it out and for the past 2 weeks it has been rock solid and not one error. They refuse to make it right for the diagnostic fee and cost of the replacement motherboard even though it was their inept tech support that couldn't figure it out. (By the way the motherboard was replaced prior to this by them but they didn't think that was the problem but instead blamed it on my seating the new RAM improperly.) read more

I went to this store more than one time, this place has zero respect for the customers and should just go away, quickly.

They shorted me on the memory, I explained my existing machine had 1 T, they gave me something with 500 mb. A laptop and desktop. $7000 later including necessary upgrades. I do like no extra software but the wireless keyboard doesn't work well, not sure if this is related to the computer but with my old computer the hp printer late model worked fine but this one I keep having to power cycle the computer and printer or the printer shows as off line. Many attempts over several months to get them to help me were met with apathy and implying it was my fault. Agreed with reviewer below that they are arrogant, not knowledgeable, stay away. read more

The computers are a little pricey for what you get power wise but when you factor in there is not a speck of bloatware it is worth the price. For my business the managed care has been great. The tech support crew is pretty good and there is never any wait time. I will continue to use them for my business for the foreseeable future. read more

This is now the 3rd place I have written a positive review for Vision Computers. I firmly believe that when you receive excellent service from a company you must spread the word! I was referred to them by a friend in the IT industry and ordered my father a new computer for Christmas. Their website is very user friendly, pricing is fair and I love that you can build to order. The reason I went with them over other well known computer brands/companies is because they have a track record of excellent customer service and tech support AND I like that they dont load up your new computer with junk that slows it down....like the other companies do! (free trials, company ad's etc). I ordered the computer on 12/20 ( a Saturday) it was processed by Tuesday, shipped and received before Christmas! Wonderful! Thank you! read more

This was my 3rd order to Visions. Two desktops and one laptop. Ruby (in sales) was the greatest with what I need. A home business desktop serving a duel purpose and later a laptop and desktop for general use after I retired. I have never regretted buying from them. The three year warranty is great and I'm about to use it for the first time. Most buy off the self computers last me one or two yrs period. These usually last me about five years and yes they can be pricy. I love it when they last! read more

As the owner of a growing small business, I recently purchased my fourth computer this year from Vision (and have purchased 4 others in recent years). Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience and will never do business here again. The $2500 laptop came with the wrong specs (and was not as requested or promised). Unfortunately, Vision would not acknowledge its errors, nor would it accept a return. I faced the choice of either being saddled with a machine I didn't want (for $2500) or after much hard-nosed negoatiation, returning it by accepting a 15% restocking fee and eating over $130 in data transfer charges. I chose the latter and am now out over $350 with no laptop to show for it. In this process, the Vision staff blatantly misrepresented the facts of the situation and communicated zero interest in retaining a long-standing customer with potential to buy an increasing number of machines. This incident came on the heals of an attempt to have another laptop repaired while under warranty. On five separate occassions, Raul promised to send the packaging required to ship my laptop to Lenovo for repairs. He never did so and the computer is no longer under warranty. I will gladly take my business elsewhere and encourage others to do so as well. read more

Bought a vision computer maybe 2 years ago. It crashed last fall. The rebuilt the hard drive and charged me $250 to recover data. Today the piece of crap crashed again. I bought a very high end notebook from Vision last November. I paid just under $3000. Since then I have lost much more than this in lost productivity. I use VMWare and I constantly loose virtual machines. The only way I can avoid the problem is by backing up every virtual PC on an external drive before I power down the notebook. If you need a high end notebook and use it to make a living stay away from Vision. I have many colleagues running the same programs on Dell and other notebooks who don't have this problem. read more

I must agree with Thomas L. If you will look at the past reviews, you will notice the "good" reviews" end about 2011 and reviews begin to turn south after that. I don't know "who" at Vision made the decision to change their FORMERLY very excellent customer service, but they did "change" about that time, as we learned to our sorrow. We have purchased a total of 5 computers from Vision--and will NOT be purchasing any more from them. The main 'draw' for us to them was not their prices, because Vision is "not" the least expensive place to buy a computer, but we felt it worth it to pay a bit more to get the (then) excellent customer service, which was advertised on the radio by a famous local personality (who needs to have someone close to him buy a computer ANONYMOUSLY from them now, and see what kind of service they get when they don't know it's "him" on the line). We could have gotten the same computer cheaper from MicroCenter or some other local dealer, but for the sake of the "15-second hold time" personalized customer service we went ahead & went with Vision. In the early years, their service was fantastic, but when I bought my last PC in late 2012, I soon discovered things had become ENTIRELY different from before. The Customer "no" service Tech Support guys ARE extremely rude and short with customers. They do not, as formerly, have patience with those (like me) who are NOT "tech-savvy' or computer-savvy---you immediately sense, or hear outright, their impatience with you if you ask "basic" questions. Now, I'm a Baby Boomer and have trouble sometimes just setting up my email---and the techs at Vision USED to be patient with that, and even help me--particularly a tech named Raoul, who was GREAT. But since I purchased my last computer, I pretty quickly discovered they've decided to model their "tech support" after everyone else's---which means they ONLY answer SPECIFIC questions about problems with THEIR systems, and WILL NOT answer ANY questions about anything not directly related to "Vision" software or hardware questions. If your problem has to do with email, you must contact your Internet Provider; if your problem has to do with Microsoft Office, you must call Microsoft; Adobe won't run?--call Adobe. NO help for problems NOT DIRECTLY related to their OWN products----and then even THAT help stops, abruptly, at the end of the 6-month support program----and then you are COMPLETELY on your own, up the creek without a paddle, and can't get ANY help without having to bear with their extreme arrogance, rudeness, and demand for money up front (and THEN no "guarantees" that whatever work they do or advice they give will solve your problem). In short, "someone" decided to make a change at Vision--and it is NOT a change for the better. They apparently fired Raoul---I guess he was 'wasting their time' helping people too much--and I get the sense they have the other techs now on some kind of "production"---they must run through calls as fast as possible and take as many calls as possible per hour---rather than the "I have all the time in the world for you and will gladly help you fix this problem" which was their attitude before. So--I figure---if I can get no better service from Vision than I can from MicroCenter or Fry's or any other faceless huge megastore, why pay higher prices and put up with the aggravation and rudeness at VIsion? I hope they will change back to the wonderful customer service they used to have, because their efforts to become more "efficient" or "cost cut" or whatever they're trying to do is shooting themselves in the foot. read more

I don't know why Clark Howard recommends these people. We got our new computer home, plugged it in and turned it on...and it froze in the middle of the windows start up screen. So I unplugged all USB devices...nothing. So I call them up and they said I had to reformat the computer! I JUST BOUGHT IT! Then they said they didn't believe that it was really freezing. i would never recommend vision computers for their tech support or to fix a problem if you have a virus. they reinstall windows first, then attempt to recover your data. then when it isn't there, oh well. it is gone. they state that you can't do anything about a corrupt computer if there is a virus. interesting that others can go some research and fix the corruption, without losing all of your data by reinstalling windows. Normally, I don't write reviews but this one had to be done. Use to love this place for the EXTRAORDINARY service and no wait time, however, in the past 3 years, I have purchased 2 laptops (made in china, I guess) and both laptops (1 within 6 months) had a hinge break. Brought it in for repair and Vision would NOT pay for the repair. It cost $175 to repair this hinge. Being that this laptop is my entire job and I travel extensively, I could not go without this tool for my job. Needless to say, the other laptop with the broken hinge from Vision, will not be repaired. Purchase from someone who will stand behind their products in all ways. read more

Worst computer I've ever had. Quad core, beefy, but locks up 8 times a day! Never AGAIN!

I bought one of Vision's laptops a couple of years ago...thinking that I was getting a good deal, not great, but good. Looking back, I paid way to much for what I got. Also, I have had problem after problem with the laptop. When I first opened it out of the box at home on the first day I bought it, it had some sort of problem (I thought it was a memory leak), but after about 6 trips back and forth to their store and several months of having the same problem with the laptop, they still couldn't figure out what it was or how to fix it, so they gave me a replacement. But before the getting the replacement, during one of the services, one of the techs decided to upgrade me and install a web cam on the laptop without consulting me. When I went to pick it up (the original problem still was not fixed), he actually had the gall to charge me for the upgrade, when he installed it without even asking me if I wanted it! I even said as much, but still had to pay for the unauthorized upgrade! All I have to say, is if you buy from them, buy the extended warranty because you'll need it! I run very good virus software on my computer 24/7...haven't been a day without it since I bought the thing, but ended up getting a virus somehow...or at least that's what they said it was, but never could say exactly what or which one...so after wiping out all my hard drives and "fixing" the problem, I had to reinstall all of my files on the computer for about the 5th time...thank goodness I backed up my files! And of course, viruses aren't covered under warranty, so I had to pay out of pocket, a lot more than I bargained for, for that fix. Some people, such as Neal Boortz, have had great experiences with Vision, but as far as I'm concerned, I will not ever buy from them again nor will I recommend anyone else do so! read more
