I went here for a few years and I would not recommend them. The ladies in the front of the office are amazing! The ones who do your intake stats are hit and miss. Dr. Bonnie Chen, absolutely not. I have been wearing glasses and seeing specialist since I was in elementary school, but she has been the worst eye doctor I've ever seen. I am very nearsighted, have a decent astigmatism, retinal issues, and family history of eye health issues that could lead to blindness. When I would address my concerns with her, she dismissed them. She would tell me it is average life stuff that I wasn't having issues with. My final straw was when I expressed to her that I was having more troubles with light sensitivity - mainly when driving, but also when I was outside in general - even with the use of sunglasses. She told me it wasn't possible for me to have this experience because I have brown eyes. She then went on to tell me that I just needed my prescription updated (hadn't changed much), make sure my windshield was clean (already clean), and continue wearing sunglasses (still doesn't help). I went to my pcp and got a referral to another eye doctor. I'm glad I did. My concerns were finally heard and addressed. read more

It has been going on a year since I've been here...but everything was great with the service and everyone was super nice. However, when I received my glasses, complete with anti-scratch protection, and even though I was super careful to care for them the correct way (I've had glasses for 51 years), they got a small scratch on one lense and they said, 'tough' and proceeded to tell me, 'the year is almost finished and you can get replacement lenses with your insurance covering them after the first of the year.' I have had a pair of glasses from EyeBuyDirect.com that has anti-scratch on them...these glasses have been dropped numerous times, dragged and they don't have even one tiny scratch on the lenses! So for them not to cover that scratch on an anti-scratch lense is unacceptable. I will no longer need their services and gave found another doctor. read more

I would 100% recommend Vision Loft for a practice that has integrity and is great at what they do. The space is super nice and contemporary, and they have a wide array of glasses frames to choose from (both $150 "insurance" frames and pricier designer frames). Dr. Ahua spent more time carefully determining my contact lense strength than any other Optometrist I've seen in the past (and I've been a vision patient for the past 25 years). She ensured that I'd have optimal vision and also, she addressed dry eye concerns as well as carefully examined my retinas from a past procedure. After leaving my appointment and wearing my contact lenses for a couple of days, I was still having some slight vision problems, and the office accommodated for me to come in the following day for an additonal exam, cost free. We figured out the problem (if you wear contact lenses, you know it's no exact science!), and I've since ordered both contact lenses and glasses through the office. The entire staff was always very friendly and helpful to me; I can attest that this is a practice who truly takes pride in providing excellent service to patients. So glad I found them, and I'll definitely stick with them for my vision needs!! read more

Finding a new doctor when you move to another state is always such a drag. I went through several other offices in the area to not receive a call back to my requested appointment. Vision Loft contacted me immediately and when one appointment was booked before I could respond, I was notified immediately with other options. The correspondence was swift, professional, and efficient. On the day of my appointment I was greeted very enthusiastically and Dr. Chen is just the funniest! I think it helped that we bonded over our love/obsession with food! She even recommended a few local restaurants for me to try. Everyone who works at Vision Loft is so friendly. BEWARE. So disappointed. They put revenue in front of their patients. I had my initial consultation, purchased glasses (no issues) and asked for contact lenses for sporting activities. They charged me for sizing and samples. Received samples and they didn't work due to stigmatism in both eyes. Was told that sometimes the contacts work with this and sometimes they don't. I believed them, didn't complain and they kept all the money I paid. PART 2, and this is where it turns to a disaster and my claim of only caring about revenue. Since the contacts didn't work I asked for sports glasses. Contoured and shaded, like Oakley's. They had no problem getting these order and paid for... even called me saying they needed another $100 for my script worn contours frames. Glasses come in, and they don't work with my eyes. The person working with me said "you should have never been issued these glasses with your stigmatism(s). She took the glasses back, flattened the lens and they worked. Proving her point. We ordered new flat glasses, which worked, but they refused to issue me back the premium I paid for the contoured glasses they prescribed. This place only cares about generating and taking your money. I gave this place 3 opportunities to right this wrong and they refuse. FIND ANOTHER PLACE read more

I arrived for my appointment about 3 minutes late but no worries as the staff still took care of me. The customer service in this establishment is by far the best I have received at any vision appointment ever. The doctor was amazing and took the time to go over all my questions and recommended daily contacts which have changed my life for the better. The furniture/decor is very modern and nice, I only waited about 10 minutes to see the doctor. After my eye exam, they have you sit on couches in the back where there is flat screen TV, couches, and a fireplace! I mean how amazing. When you leave your appointment you speak to a consultant where they go over your bill and help you order either contacts or glasses. Their selection of glasses is insane--from Tom Ford to Lily Pullizter. The way my bank account is set-up I just window-shopped but I will definitely come here again! I am compelled to amend my previous review. After posting about my experience, I was contacted by the office manager, who was committed to making things right. I was so impressed with her level of concern and oversight that I decided to extend Vision Loft another try. The optic specialist did not know who I was, and she was both helpful and knowledgable. She took her time getting to know my style and helped me choose the right pair of glasses for my lifestyle and face. I was offered compensation for my previous experience, enough to both entice and satisfy me. Also, toward the end of my visit, Pat met with me personally to ensure my satisfaction and shake my hand. She also informed me that she had held a staff meeting concerning the importance of clarity when quoting a customer. I found some beautiful glasses, and I left uplifted. I witnessed a professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction that is uncommon in today's marketplace. Dr. Chen and the whole Vision Loft staff are the best! My husband and I love our new glasses that were thoughtfully and carefully recommended to us to match our individual faces. They really take the time to give you personalized attention and we really appreciate their outstanding customer service. I would return to Vision Loft, but only if I could see a different doctor there. We had to come 2 days in a row for 4 appointments (understandable) and saw 2 different doctors. The doctor on the 2nd day did a much more thorough examination than the one the first day. We all had our eyes dilated and the 2 of us that went the first day only had our eyes briefly looked into with a magnifying glass and light. On the 2nd day, the doctor used the magnifying glass and light after dilation and then also used a machine to look at the vessels and nerves. Why didn't the first doctor do a more thorough examination? Also, the first doctor was asking questions about my eyesight and dads eyesight in regards to our children's eyesight (genetics) and I made the comment that dad was blind as a bat. I was then scolded in front of my children by the doctor and was told we don't use the word blind in this office. I'm sorry, but I was in no way making fun of blind people as that is a very common phrase (and a TRUE comment as he has awful eyesight) so I found it very rude that she said that to me. After that comment, I was ready to leave right then as it was very awkward after that. We will come back, but will ask for our appointments to be with the 2nd doctor only. read more

I really can't say enough about this practice. Dr. Chen and her staff are as good as they come. I have a 13 year old son who needed to be squeezed in immediately and the staff made it happen. I have just changed from a practice I have been going to for years to Dr. Chen and Vision Loft. What a difference. The staff is polite and attentive to thier customers and thier needs. Dr. Chen was thorough with her examination and explanation of the findings and future care. There was no pressure put on you to buy thier products. Which I did at a reasonable cost.
