Money hungry scam artists. First they couldn't find my insurance, then after multiple phone calls they could. I wanted the exact same frames I had, and it took me stopping the lady four different times and pointing out the differences in the ones she was pulling up for her to say "oh well we don't carry the exact same frames you have". You could've started with that instead of trying to trick me four separate times into thinking I was getting what I asked for, but you were trying to take advantage of someone. My visit(s) were alright, but I am not sure that I would recommend them. The vision test was excellently done; however, that was the only good part of my appointment. The staff were not rude but were not very helpful either. The other negative was simply the price. Now, I know that prices have risen since I last went to an eye specialist and got glasses, but this was much higher than I thought it would be. These glasses will have to last me for several years in order for them to be worth the investment. read more

The doctor was okay. The front end staff are the rudest and most unprofessional I've ever encountered. The redhead made no eye contact, never said thank you or acknowledged my presence except to take my card. Worst ever!! The cumulative people skills of the Ft. Wright office are negative. Can't speak to the effectiveness of the doctors, but after completing the paperwork I took a seat in the waiting area. Soon I was approached by a "mask Nazi" who told me I must wear a mask. I hadn't noticed the sign on the door. As I held the mask she gave me I asked her if she knew who Anthony Faucci is. She said yes and I told her that at various times as the head of the CDC he wrote a white paper on the ineffectiveness of masks, but then said everyone needed to wear 2 masks. At that point she abruptly walked away shaking her hand at me as if to say "I don't want to hear it". I then politely told them that I would find another business to honor with my custom. Decided to get my first eye exam and get glasses to read and see distance to avoid the readers. Was told how great progressive lens were. Cost $469.00 with vision insurance. When I got them could only see clearly 2 of 5 columns on newspaper. What! Did not work for me, gave me motion sickness. Asked if they could remake for regular bifocal. They could. Only problem, no refunds. Should have been $25.00 co-pay with my insurance. I just paid $469.00 for a pair of bifocal readers! Stupid you say, yes it was. WARNING since they won't refund money if progressives don't work for you, think long and hard about it before agreeing to try them. Or better yet, don't go to Vision One! read more

This is a great place to go if you live in or around Grant County and need eye care. I finally got to the age where I needed glasses, and after getting vision insurance through work, I was happy to see a place close to me in network. The staff are very friendly, and Dr. Mercado did a great job with my eye exam. Their selection of glasses is fairly large, but maybe not as big as some of the chains. After I ordered my glasses, they told me they'd be there in about 2 weeks. I had them only a week later, so that was nice. The only reason I didn't go with 5 stars is their prices. They're a bit higher for frame prices than most places. You do get what you pay for though, with quality glasses and good customer service. I'll definitely be sticking with them. read more

My family has gone there for years. We were very happy with our care and the staff were always friendly and helpful. I recently had to change vision insurance bc of work. The new insurance is not accepted there. Very disappointed with that. We have looked at the providers and have taken our daughter to the walmart for her contacts and glasses read more
