Since then, the care has become less personalized and more generic. My new complaint is the new service charge of 2.5% when using a credit card. Supposedly it does not exceed their CC charge and does not apply to debit cards (which I used) but a CC charge is a cost of doing business for the convenience of your patients. This seems like a way to boost revenue and had me grumbling the whole time there. They also stopped taking AMEX which was another kicker. If it wasn't for Dr. Jhaveer and Debbie, I would be looking for another eye doctor.

He sat down and discussed every finding and actually explained it in basic terms from my first consult up until the day of my surgery. His team is outstanding. They specialize in what they do and of course are darn good at it. I rarely leave an office knowing everyone's names or what their personalities are like outside of work, but Laura, Jonah, and Janet make an extra effort to have conversations with you to take the ease out of having a boring eye exam. Can you say team LONGEVITY? They've been with him for over 8 years! Lastly, I have to briefly touch base on his technology for all you tech enthusiasts out there. The practice is fairly new so that also means new equipment and newest laser technology! Your check-in paperwork is completed on an ipad. All of your test data from the eye exams are mapped out on a computer screen so the Dr. can go over and point out what's normal and abnormal within your exam. When I had to switch insurances they let me know ahead of time that the government wouldn't pay for the fee to write me a prescription. I ultimately chose to keep my glasses I had so I didn't need to get that done. BTW they told me about that charge on the phone before my appointment was confirmed. I have received glasses at the shop in the office and the service was fairly professional. The glasses were of decent quality seeing as the frames were free, covered by insurance. They have lasted 2 years now. I like that they have in the past billed me later after the insurance was billed. The staff has forwarded the report without much trouble to my personal care physician. I really feel that they care and are worth going to even with a 3.5 drive there. They were willing to schedule my fiancé and my appointment at the same time since we live 3.5 hours away. They have provided great customer service and I feel his advice is very competent.

It's been a pleasant experience from the first day I picked up the phone to call and ask questions from CINDY. Everyone was really kind and caring which made me feel really comfortable . Dr. Scott Segal is a professional at what he does and he was very kind, informative, and caring. I did thorough research into who I should pick to go with for my lasik surgery and I'm glad to have picked him. I'm currently recovering from the procedure and it seems to be going great. Dr. Scott also gave me his personal number in case I have any questions or concerns. All information regarding financing, prescriptions, and scheduling were easy to follow. I had my post op checkup this morning and I already have 20/25 vision :).
