As a matter of principle I refused to walk away and insisted on speaking to the OD. After a long argument I was given a form where I acknowledged having refused retinal screening and got my prescription done. SO choose to skip this place or be ready for a fight to get your $ 39 waived by the good Doctor! Oh yes - he did tell me that if I asked nicely (!) they can easily waive the $ 39 fee. But then you need to complete the long argument with the Front Office first to reach the OD... well .... you choose :-)

Things are going to get worst for Texas businesses in general when transplants begin to saturate the the local market with skilled professionals, which has already begun. Very quickly, you can toss a penny and hit eye doctors with your eyes closed, no pun intended. More choices are always better.
