I took my child here for a Kindergarten eye exam. Let me start out by saying... I was less than thrilled with the first experience. I called and complained and took a risk to see another doctor there, for a second opinion. The manager was understanding. In most cases, I would have just left and gone elsewhere but I thought I would give them one more try. Dr. Paul Foreman, is incredible. Not only is is intelligent and good at what he does , he has the patience of a SAINT with children. Because of him , I am considering transferring to them for my vision care, after being at the same optometrist for 20 years. And...the prices are AWESOME. First timer here & i can confidently say i will most definitely be back! I am relatively new to eye glasses and not very well informed as to what to get when buying a new pair of glasses. I was unhappy with my old pair so i decided to shop around and one day just casually stopped in and Margarita took care of me. She is absolutely amazing!! hands down best customer service i have ever experienced, she was very knowledgeable and very helpful she explained everything down to the t and helped me get to my perfect pair of glasses i was a bit spectacle at first but once they came in i can honestly say that she is a life saver everything she recommended was definitely worth it! read more

Wow. Let me start and say I know nothing about eye exams or glasses. I have to trust what the sales people tell me. I have been to other places and have never felt like I could trust anything they tell me. So I came here and after talking to a sales associate and the manager about possible sun glasses I felt I could trust them. I ended up getting a expensive pair if sun glasses and they told me it would be two weeks until they were ready, one week later I received a call and was told they were ready. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! THE GIRLS IN THIS STORE LIKE TO MAKE YOU SIT DOWN AND WAIT UNTIL THEY FEEL LIKE HELPING YOU (EVEN WHEN NOT WITH A CUSTOMER). I have been coming to to vision works for the past 3 years and have always had great experiences with the doctors and the staff. The store manager has always gone above and beyond to explain how my benefits work and what's the best option for me. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for eye care. read more

I will start off by saying the Dr was fabulous, knowledgeable and kind. After that it went downhill. We ordered a one-year supply of contacts and they were supposed to be mailed to us directly. It took 3 calls of them telling me they were mailed over a 2 month time to receive the contacts. (This was covid-time so I was giving more leniency) On the 3rd call, they told me they were in the office for pickup, but they were shutdown. (I already knew they were in the office because I received that info pre-shutdown and they offered to mail them to me that day.) I asked if they could be mailed as promised 2 months prior and they finally were, but they made it seem like I was putting them out. The next problem is that we only received a 6 month supply of 4 boxes. I have a receipt paying for 8 boxes at an annual price (that matches their current annual price online at their store.) The associate told me I only paid for 5 months and that I'd need to pay another $500 for the other 6 months (which doesn't even add up to a year) but for my trouble they could get me a 10% discount. I verified that I would be paying over $1000 for a year of contacts and she said yes. This is double what I'd pay for the same amount of contacts if I'd just ordered online on Visionworks myself. I called corporate and they weren't much help either. Same with chat. I finally emailed and am still waiting for a response. read more

Avoid Visionworks if you value your time and money. Went in for yearly exam and ordering of contacts. Was weary since they screwed up my last order, but thought I would try one more time. At the appointment, they had me sign for an extra exam to map the eye balls, and said it was included in the exam. My medical insurance covers my exam so I signed. Afterwards I was informed that the exam wasn't covered by my insurance and I was responsible for it. When I asked why it wasn't fully explained I could opt out, they didn't have an answer and said that's how they work it. So after trying a new set of contacts out, I called back to order. Now my prescription hasn't changed in two years and both eyes are not the same. When I called they had the wrong prescription. When I informed them they were wrong, the attitude started. I politely asked to speak to a manager, and was hung up on. I called back and spoke to the manager, Alyssa, who looked into the issue and saw there was a discrepancy. She advised she would have to contact the Dr. in the morning to correct it, but would have to hold off on ordering, but to make up for the delay, would offer 3 months of contacts. Order went through and went to pick up my contacts, and no 3 months supply. Sick of the games being played, lack of customer service, and errors being made. Take your business elsewhere. My daughter and I went to Visionworks last October to get new glasses. She slao wears contacts, but needed new glasses. We looked around while waiting for her eye exam. Those special low priced frames they advertise,good luck finding them. We now needed to get more contact lenses and I called for the prescription to be faxed over and was told that she didn't have her eyes examined for contacts, HUH. I told the girl on the phone I've never heard of such a thing that they don't also provide a contact prescription, every other optical shop we've been to does both. She told me it would cost an additonal $50.00. and gave me attitude. I have nothing good to say and will never go back there again. If you have an insurance card and don't have it with you beware that they might tell you your insurance doesn't cover anything. During my visit I did not have my vision insurance card with me and I used the store's telephone to obtain that information from my insurance company UnitedHealthcare. My insurance provided me with the name of the vision insurance - Spectera, along with the member ID. The store representative informed me that, that is all I need. The doctor also asked the store representative if I have insurance and which one and nodded in approval. After the store representative entered the information in the system and " processed it " I was told that the vision insurance does not cover anything and I have to pay a full promotional price of $29.00 which I did pay. The next day on 10/11/19 I went back to the store with my vision insurance card and asked if I can get a refund of $19.00 since I only have a co-pay of $10.00. I also asked why wasn't the insurance card processed the first time. After 45 min of waiting while the store representative was making phone calls in the back I was denied my request and I was accused of giving the wrong insurance information the previous day. The store representative accused me of getting/giving the Davis Affinity Discount. I have never heard of this Davis Affinity Discount until now. Why would I say that I have this when I did not get any discount ??? I was also told to call my vision insurance and get my reimbursement thru them because Visionworks can not give me my money back. Is there any reason why I cannot get my money back? The store needs to take responsibilities for their actions. All I am asking for is to get my $19.00 back. I will not return there. Wow....i haven't seen anyone refusing your business like that before. My wife and i went there for eye exam and glass if needed yesterday, i will givit to them they were very busy we waited for about 20 minutes for someone to say Hi we will be with you in a sec......and that was it for another 20 min.....when on of the employees asked what brings us in today. Don't get me wrong they were very nice ppl. However, after giving them our ppo insurance and were told that there doctor is about 45 minutes behind schedule. Being one i do understand....and daid its ok we'll be back....came back in a few hours still the same. Came back the next day and they were pretty much empty from what I've seen not a single person in the waiting room.....but still were told that they are busy and not able to accommodate us into the "BUSY SCHEDULE " THEY HAVE..... i look3d around in a sarcastic way and said ya you guys seem busy. Unfortunately were not able yo actually have exam so my experience is literally limited to trying to get an appt. read more

What a Horrible Experience...We are or I should say were returning clients. I had researched what my insurance would cover and the prices I was going to expect...Well a person Name Yasmin sat with my wife and I after her exam. I informed her that I would like to know what the basic costs are and then I will consider the add-ons...she instantly got an attitude and started to laugh. I informed her that I did not appreciate her laughing at me. She told me that she did not appreciate being disrespected...WHAT?!?!?! At that point I told her I wanted to talk to her manager in which she replied smartly,"I am the manager". I then asked well if you are the manager, who do you report to, who is your boss? She told me nobody. I then was pretty ticked off at that point and my sarcasm came out. I told her well it is truly a pleasure to behelped by the CEO of Visionworks..Oh wait, I do not see the title of CEO on your badge. She just sat there for a minute(probably realizing that she was out matched wits wise and then told me her region manager's first name. No last name or direct contact information, just first name and corp 800 number. I still cannot believe that someone would try to be so disrespectful as to laugh in our face and call me disrespectful. This girl needs to be taught about the customer service and that we are not there for her, she is there for us, the customer.....STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE!!!! read more

After looking for glasses for about 30 mins and not being able to find anything, I was about to leave. That's when the manager came up to me to help me find a pair of glasses. First she told me that my insurance only covered part of my glasses and that my total would be over $100. Then I asked her to recheck it, and my total was then $50, which was still off from what my insurance had told me (my insurance covers the glasses up to $150 and the glasses were only $80). I honestly should have just left because it was obvious that she didn't know what she was doing. I later called my insurance and found out that they had in fact billed me incorrectly. Vision works called me the next day to do the refund and I told them I would come in to do it. When I went back, I was told to sit down and wait. About 20 minutes later, another employee came up to me and asked if I had been helped. I told her no, and told her I needed a refund. She then told me it would be another 30 minutes because the "manager" wasn't there. I told her I couldn't wait, so she took down my credit card information and told me she would have her manager do the refund as soon as she got back, and they would call me. It's been a week. Still no refund... This place is ridiculous! read more
