My eye glass frames were destroyed accidentally today. I walked into Visionworks and was warmly greeted by Crystal who is the Optical Specialist Lead. Despite how busy Crystal was, she took time to help me. Crystal looked up my account and told me that my glasses were two years old and my warranty was up. She didn't turn me away... she could have dismissed me...anyone else would have! She found a pair of frames for me in the exact size to match my glasses. She is such a patient and wonderful lady. She didn't have to spend so much time helping me find the exact size frame. Crystal made my day with her kindness. I'm so appreciative and Crystal deserves a big pay raise and acknowledgement from the company. read more

That said, please read on. I've been a customer for a few years. I've been mostly pleased, but this year I've run into some issues. Nothing serious, just some inconveniences. The other day I went for my appointment only to find out that the doctor was running way behind. Since I had to be at work 40 minutes away, I couldn't wait to see him and was going to have to make another appointment (again). I was really disappointed. Monica wouldn't let that stand, though. She stepped up and took care of the problems I was having so that waiting for a new appointment wouldn't also mean I was going to be inconvenienced. She was kind, patient, and professional the entire time. She went the extra mile for me and it was a huge help. Her external customer service is top notch, but I've witnessed the high quality of her internal customer service as well. She's as helpful with her coworkers as she is with us. She is knowledgeable and organized, seems to have a solid handle on everything going on in the store, and is able to answer questions, resolve computer issues, and find products. She demonstrates real leadership every time I see her on the job. They'd better be paying her what she's worth and treating her with the respect she deserves because we'll all be lost if she ever leaves. read more

I have been to this location of Visionworks a few times to have eye exams and get glasses! The location is always busy and difficult to get appointments! I waited both times approximately over 30 days before I could be seen! Once there for the appointments-the optometrist appeared rushed and wasn't that receptive to questions! I continued to ask despite the lack of receptiveness! I did order glasses both times and was satisfied with the outcome of costs! That is why I came back the second time-my employer insurance sucks..so it was cheaper for me to pay out-of-pocket! The sale of 60% off lenses worked in my favor! I was not contacted about my glasses being completed-I had to contact them! The customer service overall could use improvement! read more

The customer service is horrible, they are extremely unhelpful, inaccurate and careless. I have had ongoing issues for two years with this location that has stopped me from getting contacts. They gave me the wrong prescription, have made me wait hours for a two-minute follow-up appointment and have given me a glasses prescription instead of a contact prescription. An absolute nightmare that should be shut down immediately. read more

New local optometry place that caters mostly to Highmark/Independence Blue Cross subscribers. I went to get my $19 exam deal until my coverage accommodates vision. I needed a new glasses prescription. Score. I need a special lens so the price didn't sway me (most likely will buy online) but I was able to find designer frames both reasonable and inflated in the gallery. It was a good selection. They also have a great BOGO, buy one, get one, offer which I thought was great and might have considered if I needed two pair (prescription sunglasses?) Dr. Kim and the salespeople were accommodating and knowledgeable and gave me a thorough exam and answered all of my questions. No pushy sales and gave me my paper script, no problem. I would definitely go back and get contact lenses or any other needs as I was happy with the service, location, pricing and parking, etc. One star deducted because I waited quite a bit for the exam (I was informed, though, this was due to the regional manager making a surprise visit). I will reevaluate on my next visit but certain they deserve full stars, otherwise. read more

I just received my glasses yesterday and long behold my glasses had a defect in them so I had to take them back and get a better frame hopefully the frame that I picked out this time won't have a defect. The glasses are picked over overpriced I'm so sorry that I ever went here and it was hard to look around the whole store for another pair that I really like for one pair of glasses it was $279.. dollars. The glasses start-off $69.00 and and up. All I can say is consumer beware check your insurance check your glasses before picking them out and some of the people in there is not knowledgeable so they're giving you anything again hopefully this pair is right but I don't think I'll be returning back to visit once I just need to pick up my glasses because my insurance pay for them and me. oh and I forgot the first day I was in there someone brought back glasses they had for a while and they broke which didn't make any sense. But today a little girls glasses the lens popped out and her father was very upset all they wanted to do is pop another lens in and let her be on her Merry way. some of the people there needs training a lot of training they want your money once your insurance so you're in you're out and you're looking crazy because if you walk out the store you like what did I just do. and at this point is a little too late because they have your money and it'll took your insurance so again consumer beware. read more

The store was closed "for weather" when I showed up for my appointment today. I was not notified of the closure via email or text or phone call. There were 'closed' signs on the inside of the store, so it shows an employee was inside the store and still did not take the time to notify customers of appointments being cancelled. This shows a lack of respect for customers and our time. read more

Just opened up in front of taco bell! Needed an annual eye exam so I thought I'd give it a go. Was easy and convenient to make an appointment that suited my schedule. I was greeted courteously (even though I was late...I called to let them know) and was given some paperwork to complete. Def arrive early to fill out the paper work. After completion I was taken back to the stations with the little machines that test various visual functions. Process was quick and efficient. I was then the taken to see the eye doc. He reviewed he other tests with me then began my eye exam. He was friendly, thorough And courteous. He provided me with my scripts after the exam and there was no pressure to purchase contacts or eyeglasses from the store. Overall good experience :) read more

Love these guys! Long time customer of another chain but this time went to Visionworks out of convenience. Khadija was amazing, helpful and NICE! She helped us pick three pair of frames -- progressive bifocals, single-vision computer lenses and really cool sunglasses -- and figured out how best to apply our insurance benefits. The glasses, promised for two weeks out, arrived in one week. Picked up today and was helped by Monica, who was incredibly nice, helpful and funny, and did a great job seeing to it that all my glasses fit perfectly. Highly recommend these guys. read more

So yes this is a busy location but it's a doctor's office not a fast food restaurant so plan to spend a little time waiting. Visionworks is popular with many insurance plans so they are always busy. Staff are very friendly and always happy to fix my glasses after I have sat on them or bent them somehow. They will adjust for free anytime I stop by - just have to be patient if you do not have an appointment. Doctor is always pleasant and very professional. read more

Staff was courteous and helpful; explained my insurance in a way that I could understand. Didn't hover as I worked my way through all the frames but did answer questions as needed. I had an awful experience at this location. No one seemed to really know what they were doing except Dr. Kim. He was efficient, knowledgeable and professional, despite that, I was in the office for over 2 hours because the staff didn't know how to look up insurance, did not know how to operate the computer system and the manager was just as confused as the other 2. It was horrible to watch people come in and for one of them to say"give me a minute, ill be right with you". They need to really look at their process and perhaps the "manager" needs to be retrained because the office was anything but well managed. I eventually left without ordering my eyeglasses because i literally ran out of patients with this pathetic little office. I will never return to this location. read more

Missed my first appt, rescheduled, and the staff was very polite and informative. Dr. Kim was a pleasure to have an eye exam with. He listened thoroughly and schooled me on the issues that were causing me strife with my eyes. Never felt rushed. Received my glasses and contacts prescription which I came in for, the complete annual eye exam checkup, as well as good habits for the future. Service associates are very lazy. All they wanted to do was sit on chair and sip ice coffee. There were 10 people in facility at 10am. The staff was nonchalant and had no since of urgency. Sean should be fired. Also, they were not friendly. So with an appoint they could not guarantee how long I would have to wait. The Retail Supervisor I think name Angela came in and started the ball to roll to get customers in and out. She did more work than the other three associates combined. She should be the upgraded to the manager. She had outstanding people skills , customer friendly, and respected the customers. Please train the others to provide excellent customer service. The overal visit was not good but the supervisor Angela was Outstanding!!!! Kudos for Angela and the others need to take a page out of her book or you will lose customers read more

I found the staff at this branch to be curt and unhelpful. On two occasions I was greeted either with "Stand behind the table, sir" (at that time no sign indicating this), and on the second occasion with "Do you have an appointment?" then "Name?" and "How do you spell that?" No common customer courtesy, no "good afternoon," no "hello, can I help you?" I was told that I didn't sign up for an appointment online correctly (I apparently only signed-up for an eye purchase not an exam), so I was rescheduled to come back on the 14th. What Monica did not tell me was that my rescheduled appointment was on September 14th, not August 14th. So when I came back on August 14th, I was greeted in a similarly curt manner by another woman. Thankfully, this time there were clear signs posted. Now I understand how busy this branch is, and I understand the need to observe safe social distancing. And, perhaps I misheard the date aand/or signed up wrong (though I don't think so). But honestly, I am not usually a complaining customer. I don't usually write negative reviews at all. But really? A simple courteous greeting and some helpful customer service goes a long way. I told them that I would not be coming for my September 14th appointment and would take my business to Warby Parker because of the way I was treated on two occasions. Although one of the women apologized, I told her that I do not accept her apology. I just feel compelled to let the staff at this branch know, and perhaps their their managers and/or the corporate office, know that issues with staffing and customer service cost them one customer. read more

I was waiting to give a review in the hopes that this Visionworks location would redeem themselves but it just keeps getting worse... I first visited Visionworks in the beginning of March, right before the quarantine. At that time, I had an eye exam for contacts and glasses. They had to order a trial pair of contact for me, which is typical, but they were supposed to call me when they came in. I never got a call and I was trying to be understanding of the pandemic so as soon as things began reopening, I called them and found out that my contacts had been sitting there FOR MONTHS. I then had to make an appointment to pick them up, which was another month of waiting. I tried the trial pair of contacts and they are uncomfortable, which is no fault of Visionworks. I called to ask if they could order another trial pair in a different brand and was told that I'll need to make ANOTHER appointment... oh, and the earliest they can get me in is in another month! So I asked if they can just give me the prescription so I can go elsewhere and I was told no... after using my insurance for my yearly eye exam and now I can't have my prescription So I'm going on month 5 in my monthly pair of contact lenses! I don't think they care about me as a patient, nor do they actually give a damn about the health of my eyes. Save yourself the headache and find another eye doctor! read more

This place sucks!! I went to this location to have the right lens replaced due to scratches after a few months of purchasing them. I also needed an adjustment, After heating my AR lens with heat, the lens crazed! I called the next morning because they were closed at the time I realized my left lens was crazed. I was told that they wouldn't replace my glasses after ruining them because they weren't damaged after the adjustment and Stacy informed me that she didn't care if I called Corporate. I was kind enough to let Corporate know what Stacy said and how I was treated. Needles to say, I will be getting a replacement. What they don't know is that my spouse has been an optician for 16 years, so I know what I'm talking about! I will never buy glasses from Vision Works again! read more
