This was one of the most humiliating and unprofessional experiences I've ever had. The manager, Christina, was outright rude and disrespectful. I paid $200 in the spring for a service clearly stated to last two years, yet only months later I was told I couldn't get my prescription unless I paid again for the same service based on a policy they never once mentioned. When I pointed this out, the manager accused me of lying, refused to give me her name, and even threatened to call security. This business has no regard for professionalism or basic respect. This was in 2021-2022. I got my eye glasses from here, got a warranty, and when my glasses broke a week before my warranty expired, I called in to get a repair or replacement and was denied my warranty that did not expire yet. I was told that since my warranty was going to expire soon, they "technically" don't replace or file a claim for my glasses. I did not understand how a warranty work at that time, so I just took her word for it. I went to a different eye clinic and was told that no matter what, since my eye glasses warranty did not expire when I called, they had to honor it no matter what. So people fight for your warranty coverages! I wished I did. read more

I had an exam and was going to buy glasses when the system was acting up for my insurance, I said that's ok I can come back next week and order them when things should be running better. She said she took all my info and pictures of the frame I picked and gave me a general quote on how much. I went back today and there was one person working, we were ignored then rudely greeted, we were told to sit or stand they didn't care. Then when it was my turn they had no info on me but my exam then they could not tell me any prices from my insurance. How can you sell glasses without the price. Another customer came in and was rudely greeted and then was told they had no patience as they left. The salesperson said I was looking like I was flustered with her and I had no right to be it wasn't her fault but the other lady's fault. I asked for a copy of my prescription and was handed the copy not so gently and I will go buy glasses from someone who is qualified and has people skills to do their job. I will say she started talking about us as we were leaving the store to the next customer, I looked at my daughter and told her that is exactly how we do not treat people. We've never had an issue getting glasses at any other place, this is the first time and we've never been treated rudely either. We will not be back! read more

I love new staff at this location. Go see Tawny she is the Optical Supervisor and has 16 plus years of experience. Christina the General manager has 25+ years of experience as well. Simon is the telehealth specialist and is great at conveying the information from the dr to it's sales staff so you not only get what you want but what will work best optically for your specific needs. Mo is very sweet and kind and has great taste. She is also, knowledgeable and can assist you in your needs. You will love your experience here. read more

Waited for an hour to be seen for my appointment. There were 3 different people working and no one checked with me during that hour to update me on my appointment. Once I was finally seen, I was told that one of my nerves showed up bigger than the other and that someone from their office would call me within 2 weeks to refer me to an optometrist. Had another Visionworks call to ask about my contact and eyeglass prescription Friday night.Overheard the person from Northtown make an unprofessional comment about my high prescription over the phone. Does it need to be said that professionalism should be kept over the phone between retailers? Despite if customer is nearby or not, these people should not be in customer service if they're going behind the customers back and commenting about clients. read more

I have gotten notification that my glasses are in, but when I tried to look up the order as instructed on the web site, it could not find the order. When I tried the chat, it requested the same information and gave the same error message. When I asked to speak to an actual person, it gave me a ticket number and said that someone would get back to me within 48 hours. So then I tried to schedule an appointment to see if I could come in and get this corrected, the system could not pull up any appointment times for the store. After selecting Pick Up/Follow Up , it gave me a blank drop down box and when I selected the next button, it sat on the "searching for available times..." message for better than 5 minutes before I gave up. So, I resorted to the good old phone. I called the local store number and got put in a hold queue, where I was on hold for 45 minutes before I gave up and I am pretty sure was transferred from the local store to the national support center . And quite unhelpfully, the phone system kept telling me to try using the web site for assistance. So, basically, the website is a total failure all the way around... and your customer service was horrible as well. read more

We were there for 3 hours. Amanda only assisted Caucasian people (2/6 parties in the store) and told us that someone would be with us shortly, as she went and helped other people with no appointments. She had passed several customers to the 2 other coworkers. Being short handed is understandable, but it is very unprofessional and rude to pick out your customers. My wife needed an eye exam and we both need glasses. We had a coupon, and decided to drive in from Wisconsin (1.5 hrs). While my wife was having her exam, I picked out 2 frames ($69.95) for the coupon. When the sales lady rang them up they priced at $99.95??? My wife and Dr. came out from her exam and he looked at the price and said it should be $369. He tried to over ride the price, but was busy, so told her what to do. Then the prices kept coming up different, $1777 and $2542??? Then another sales person came over and said the Dr. wasn't the manager and TOOK over...deleting everything!!! Well, she tried to correct the problem and COULDN'T...she came up with $858??? My wife aske her if she would pay $858 for $369 glasses! We asked to talk to them manager on duty and she replied that there wasn't a manager on duty!!! Well after more than an hour later, we ended up walking out without glasses! NO apology, NO comment from the staff!!! UPDATE: Dec 28, 2021 I was contacted by Christine, Store Manager and she looked into my issue. My glasses are ordered!! Happy that a call was made. Thank you, thank you to Susie and Hannah for their wonderful service. My son and I stopped by on the last Friday of the year needing to use my FSA. We had been to another optometrist for an exam but they didn't have a good selection of frames so we came to Visionworks. Susie and Hannah were really helpful and friendly even though the VSP authorization system was down.....it had been a long day for them because of that and they still had smiles. I loved how the worked with my son to find glasses and frames that would work for him. He doesn't live here in MN and they were very accommodating in getting his glasses ready before he had to leave back to LA. His glasses were ready ahead of schedule and he's very pleased with them so THANKS again for such a wonderful experience!!! read more

This is my second time buying here. I really liked the eye doctor who did my exam, and the customer service people were great. My fit and prescriptions turned out great this time. Last time, they prescription and / or fit was not perfect although they did try to adjust them for me several times. This time they got both the regular and sun glasses just right. read more

I've taken my kids here 2 years in a row. The service is the same both times. Do not expect them to tell you your glasses have arrived. They will not call you. They also will mess your order up. You have to ask them to fit and adjust the glasses on the kids faces, then they act annoyed that you did. I will never be back here. It wasn't a one time fluke. read more

I walked into Visionworks in Northtown Mall today and was extremely disappointed. I accidentally broke my glasses two days ago and over the years if I had any issues with my glasses I would come to Visionworks and they always helped me. Today, I walked in and the lady who worked there (she was the only one in there) said she would be with me shortly so I waited. Once she was available, I presented her my broken glasses and before I could finish she immediately said they couldn't be fixed, and then proceeded to keep repeating that they couldn't be fixed. She offered no solution, or suggestions and came off rude and rushed. I was planning on making an appointment there today for an eye exam/contacts but since this lady had to piss me off so bad I left and ended up going to Pearle Vision in the same mall. Pearle Vision offered to glue them until I could find new glasses/contacts. I made an appointment at Pearle Vision, they have very thoughtful staff and they even cleaned my lenses for me all for no charge. Take some hints Vision Works! Never going back there. read more
