Again, I visited Visionworks for new glasses. I shop here because the people are always courteous and provide a good service. I made the young lady's day yesterday by ordering eyeglasses, prescription sunglasses and safety glasses, all with progressive lenses. I am sad to say that it is my last time to order from them only due to the fact that our new vision insurance does not include Visionworks as "in system." Ditto the previous reviews about "more than double" the normal charge. After placing the order I thought twice about paying more than double what I normally pay & canceled the order. I then took the prescription to another provider and saved $170.02 for the SAME lenses. Even worse, the prescription was incorrect, the doctor made a typo which was caught by the other provider because the lenses did not even come with the base curve measurement typed in error, it is a standard base curve! This was not even caught by Visionworks!! Accuracy is critical when it comes to vision care and quality control process to ensure prescriptions are properly verified before sales finalized seem kinda important, right?! This plus the excessive fee, $170.02 more than what the other provider charged, additionally costing me additional time and inconvenience equates to NOT recommending this business at all for not just 1 reason but numerous reasons. read more

I stopped in to Visionworks to have my glasses adjusted two weeks ago; a tall, blonde woman came over to help me and took my glasses, heated them and bent them squarely back from the nose area in both directions so that they became very convex across the area that fits across the face. She hadn't taken time to assess why I came in or why I was having issues with the fit, and when she brought the glasses back to me they didn't even touch my nose anymore when I put them on. I was somewhat in shock and told her I didn't want her to do any more adjustments. I then took the glasses to another optometrist, and they were shocked at what had been done to the glasses. I still have not been able to get them to sit squarely on my nose since then, even with more fine-tuned adjustments. I won't come here again. read more

We went there looking to purchase glasses for myself and my husband. When we walked in we were greeted and asked what our needs were immediately by Madison! She was very pleasant to work with. We've been here before, and none of the employees were attentive like her. She answered any questions we had and assisted us with our purchases. I'm appreciative of Madison's service and willingness to help. You could tell she was smiling under her mask. It's great to experience great customer service during this pandemic, as most places are experiencing a staff shortage, and people are more irritated, less customer oriented and in a rush! I went next door to Amanda Vigil to get my exam done for my contact lenses. I used to buy my contacts online from Vision Direct for a little over $30 a box but their site has moved to Walgreens. So I decided I would conveniently go next door to Visionworks to get my contacts instead. I was greeted immediately and already knew what I needed so the general manager and I got straight to ordering my lenses. He was friendly and professional. I was astounded when my contacts came out to almost $70 a box (double what I normally pay!) but my insurance was covering most of it so I ordered 2 boxes anyway. He told me they should be in in three days after I payed the difference ($1.06) and I left. Two weeks later, I had still not heard anything on my contacts. I called Visionworks asking what the status was on them because it had been so long, and the girl on the phone looked up my information only to tell me that an order had not been placed on my account. Are you serious. They charged my insurance, charge me, I handed over cash (amount aside), and I'm being told an order was never placed TWO WEEKS LATER. I initially didn't call because my husband said his took a week and a half to come in. So I was patient. I didn't think I had kept the receipt, so I was worried of what was to happen next because she kept asking "do you have the receipt?" Thank goodness I found it. I called the next day and spoke to the same girl and the general manager was there. She said she had spoken to him, found my order receipt, and they were calling the place that they order from on Monday when they open and ordering one day shipping. I'm sorry but this was absolutely ridiculous. Who doesn't check to make sure an order went through? Especially being a general manager. I will never be ordering anything from this place again. read more

I can only write this review from the perspective of someone who remembers kindness and respect from a place they do business with. While this is an illusive trend in the modern world, I have to tell you it is still around and I found it at vision works. They took care of my family of four and the kids were actually happy to get their glasses. As for me I waited forty years for my first pair of glasses and I have to say they got me looking pretty good. If your wondering if you should go here let me help you, yes. Do not get sold on the scratch resistant coating. I took my glasses in for the third time today and was told I was using an eyeglass cleaner that they did not sell, and the alcohol content was too much and ruined my coating. I was not told this in the beginning or I would have bought their cleaner every time. I take very good care of my glasses they are either on or in their case. My daughter on the other hand did not get this out of pocket expense that insurance does not cover, and she is not too careful with hers. she has no scratches on hers at all. Here is the great part. the other 2 re-makes were because of the glass cutter not because of me. when I got them brand new out of the case they had multiple scratches both times and was told it was glue and would wear off. we will not be spending another dime in this place, I feel if you are upselling a product you need to make sure the customer is aware of the do's and don'ts otherwise its just snake oil. corporate and the bbb will also be hearing from us. read more
