He was very informative and walked me through their scheduling during the lockdown, their pricing etc. I explained that I needed contacts for work and that my glasses weren't cutting it. He immediately checked his schedule and was able to get me in the next day. I received a follow up call the next morning reminding me to bring my eyewear and any info I had on my current Rx. Upon arriving the office ladies greeted me and had me fill out my paperwork. They were very kind and welcoming. My exam with Dr. Freedle was wonderful, he explained so much about my prescription and the different benefits of contacts vs glasses. I had never gotten so much information at other offices. By the time I left I had a new prescription, contacts for the year and drops to prevent dry eye. The cost was extremely reasonable; given the care I received and products, I am very surprised at how much I paid. The pricing is less than most in the area and the service received is 5 stars. Truly a wonderful experience, I will be recommending them to everyone who needs an optometrist. And as of today, I will be a loyal patient going forward. Thank you Dr. Freedle and Office ladies!

Dr. Polsinelli was so thorough and has the nicest personality! Turns out he's married to his partner optometrist, Dr. Miyamoto, who graduated from the same high school I did! Such a small world. His exam and explanations were beyond my expectations. I mean I've been told for years that I had dry eyes, but no one ever said how to treat it other than buy eye drops. Dr. Polsinelli actually gave me a lesson on home remedies and what causes the dry eyes. After talking about my life changes, he also told me he offers free pediatric eye exams to children 6-12 months old. Wow! I just can't say enough about his practice and I look forward to meeting his wife one day!

Due to a few years of procrastination and then COVID, it had been 6 years since our last eye exams and getting new glasses, so we were long overdue -- when road signs become almost too blurry to see while driving, you KNOW it's time to stop procrastinating. I checked the website and I liked that appts were required so that customer visits could be spaced out in order to limit the number of people sitting in the waiting area at any one time. We were the only ones waiting when we arrived. The reception desk is directly in front when you enter and we were warmly greeted immediately. To save time, we had filled out all our paperwork online so we were all checked in. I am bad about remembering names but everyone we came in contact with was friendly and seemed like they truly enjoyed their job. There is a private parking lot and the inside of the building seemed fairly newly remodeled and was clean and well organized. Everyone is masked and masks are still required for anyone entering the building. The one person's name I did remember (as well as her great glasses!) was Lindsey (sp). I was pretty anxious about my exam since it had been so long since my last one and I'm not getting any younger these days. Lindsey expertly guided me through all the fun eye tests and answered all my questions. Dr Tammy Nguyen did our exams. She was so nice and professional and explained everything she was doing as she examined my eyes and had me read all those eye charts. I especially loved that for an extra fee, you can have a digital scan of your eyes rather than those annoying dilation drops. I was especially worried about age-related macular degeneration as both of my parents had it. Dr Nguyen assured me that there was no indication of it but I did have a few cataracts that were normal for someone my age, so we'll need to keep an eye on it. Except for the normal changes all our eyes go through, I was relieved to know that everything was OK and all I needed were new prescription lenses. After the exam, I was escorted to the room where you choose your new frames. Everything was organized and displayed in a way that made sense. I'm kinda overwhelmed by too many choices, like kid in a candy store with a dollar to spend. Again, I didn't get her name but the young technician who helped me was professional and patient so I put myself completely in her hands. She helped me pick out two new pair of glasses that fit and flattered my face (I chose the Ray-Ban aviator-style sunglasses, the only style I will wear). And I'm not going to lie, prices aren't as low as Costco but the selection is excellent and you do get what you pay for. My husband even found a pair of wrap-around sunglasses he hasn't been able to find anywhere else. We were both very happy with the customer service, our frame and lens choices and the experience overall. Can't wait until our glasses are ready! Tigard Vision Center is a solid 5 stars.

I don't do it on purpose, but since I've been coming here for ten years, it is like a comfortable pair of shoes, "Well, hello, R S T L N E. Nice to see you again, S K Y R C O." For years I saw Dr. Shannon, but since she left the practice, I've been seeing Dr. Brad. The clinic is modern, clean and has all the bells and whistles (flat screen TV in the waiting room, chocolate treats on the counter, magazines from this millennium). My annual eye exams are always quick and painless - I don't even have to study. But the glaucoma test where they puff air into your eye makes me jump every time. They also push a high-tech retinal scan, called OPTOMAP, with the zealousness of a used car salesman. No thank you! They have a good selection of high quality frames in the attached store, but over the years, both my husband and I have had to return lenses or frames that weren't done right the first time. We haven't had any trouble exchanging items, but it was a hassle and waste of time going back and forth.

They didn't rush my mom at all and helped her with all of the questions she had. They deserve all the praise. Then my mom was seen by Dr. Quiba for the vision exam. I felt that Dr. Quiba could be a bit more patient with older patients with bad vision. There's no need for snippiness towards polite, older patients who have worries about their worsening visions. There's no need for an annoyed look when the patient's family members ask questions. We as a society could do away with that sort of behavior. :( It wouldn't have been a concern if it was just me that was going in for a vision exam, but I'd want my mom to be treated with respect and kindness that she shows everyone else around her. I'd recommend taking this review into consideration if you're planning on taking your parents or older family member in for an exam.

You can swing by anytime it's convenient to get them swapped out! After about two weeks I realized that I hadn't given her my new phone number. So even IF she called she wouldn't get me! Lol. So I called and (yup Alexa again!) She said hey!!! We have your lenses!! I popped in the next day and it was just her and Shay (I apologize if I've misspelled your name!) They got right to it and Shay had a hard time cleaning my glasses as I'd put these cheap plastic pads on to keep them from sliding lol She took those off, reshaped them and I keep them on my nose and then got back to cleaning the lenses. She went back again into the room Alexa had swapped the lenses out and called Alexa in. They found a HUGE scratch on my NEW lenses!! Then as she finally got rhem cleaned and fitted, she found another on the other lens. I was not upset because what can you do right? But Shay said THIS isn't acceptable. She said try he first thing the next day she'd call the lab to expedite me a new pair of lenses. That would only have been a week tomorrow. I was VERY impressed, again with th level OF POST service/appointment care. They genuinely care and genuinely like what they do. That's clear. I'll keep going here as long as they'll see me!! I…read morehad to intervene several times to get my bills corrected -- not only at the billing dept level but at the front desk level -- they tried to bill me for a second copay when I came in the same day because they'd *abraded my eye* in a procedure by ignoring the fact I have a genetic condition that predisposes to that abrasion and not telling me anything about it ahead of time...They didn't indicate any care at all that my eye was hurting starting a few minutes after the procedure while I was trying to look at new frames. I had to look it all up myself after driving home with one good eye and one eye in pain and unusable. To top things off, the new prescription I got (filled somewhere else) is wrong, I believe - I'm in my 60s, have had glasses for 40 years, and have never had any such trouble with new prescriptions before. And it wasn't a change to a different kind of lens, like to progressives -- same formulation, bifocals, but they give me double vision and headaches almost immediately. I wasn't impressed with the tech who did it, in general, for more reasons than space allows here. Now I have to get the prescription process done again, at my expense, unfortunately - thanks again, EHNW...Unprofessional on both clinical and financial levels. I know good help is hard to find these days but that's an explanation, not an excuse. Leaving and going somewhere better.

I did splurge on new glasses since I got just "computer" glasses for work and my progressive lenses weren't working for my job as I stare directly AT a computer screen for 8 hours everyday. Truthfully though, the service here is better than a chain. You get doctors who CARE and know what they're doing. HIGHLY recommend it. Also - what other vision place do you know that has a piano?

The customer service is now shockingly poor. Just getting the initial appointment seemed ridiculous while the person scheduling me seemed to be rolling her eyes when I had the nerve to be questioning what their latest and earliest appointments are. They are close to my house but I work close to Hillsboro which can be tricky to get to or from sometimes. Saturday appointments are not available and even regular appointments are booked out for weeks - perhaps they are so busy that they just don't care? I genuinely do not drive around during the day. I also was not aware they have half of Beaverton under construction so I was running late by about 10 minutes. The entire lobby was full of people and the person at the front had a conversation with the eye person who I think my appointment was with.... the eye person glared weirdly at me. Was it my cane? I was super confused and trying to get to the counter around all the people storming their counter. The person at the counter had wandered away, then over five minutes later they come back finally to say I was now over 15 minutes past my appointment so he would have to reschedule me? I get it if I actually was THAT late and seriously, making the appointment the first time with a person talking down to me was already challenging weeks before but this just seemed like they overbooked and were finding an excuse to just get rid of me. The doctors care here is excellent and in the past the front of house was also giving excellent customer service. Present day that this is not the case. I had my appointment in the end of January for my eye exam and purchase of glasses. I was quoted 7 to 10 business days to recieve them. On the 10th business day I called to get an update on when they would be in. Whoever answered the phone gave me so much attitude for asking a simply question. I was shocked. They told me that they never quoted 7 to 10 business days, it had only been 9 days according to their system, and that they always quote 10 to 14 days. They said that they will call when my glasses were in and hung up on me. Another week later I called back for an update, because at this point it had been 15 days according to their plan. They said that the glasses were not correct when they arrived and had to be sent back. When I inquired about why I was not inform of this they could not provide an answer. I was quoted another week. I tried to call a week later and got no response. Now 6 weeks have gone by at this point. I have to call them again because they do not know how to pick up a phone clearly. I was informed that my glasses have been waiting for me. When I asked why wasnt I informed, they said that a manager had to call me back to give an explanation. I never got that call. Now I had to wait another week on top of this to go pick up my new glasses because they didnt have any openings. The fact that I had to wait another week to pick up was outrageous. When I finally did get my glasses, they didnt apologize or anything to make up for the fact that I had to wait 7 weeks for my medical device. My advice, fire the front of house staff. Clearly training on customer service isnt a priority when it should be. As someone who has worked in retail for most of my adult life, this is just unacceptable. I would never treat a paying customer this way. Let alone a customer with medical needs.

Working with Paul Vu and EDA Frames turned into one of the worst experiences of my life.  After 14…read moremonths of trying to get one prototype frame made in the end I had to concede that Paul Vu would not complete on the goods and services because he ceased all communication and I had to walk away with a $2K loss. This is a lot of money for me. The timelines he stated for stages of work were complete and utter fiction, he did not make a single deadline and was weeks and months late. The worse of it was he lied.  He stated on email that production work had started on my frame.  For 4 months I emailed multiple times chasing updates and receipt of goods. I phoned but it always went to voicemail (which I left). I even posted comments on Instagram asking him to get in touch (which he read and deleted) but he would just not respond.  Eventually a friend, who is a company director and product designer, befriended him on LinkedIn and asked what was going on. This seemed to motivate Paul and he made contact.  It was only then did I find out that production on my frame had not even actually started, so all those months of waiting were for nothing. He never apologised or offered any kind of explanation as to why he had lied (I asked numerous times).  Mistakes were made throughout - on measurement calculations, acetate orders, wrong design used in a 3D print - all of which I had to pick up on and point out.  If he didn't like a question he would just ignore it and not answer it.  God forbid you as the client would query any unauthorised design changes because he'd take complete offence and wouldn't enter into any collaborative discussions. How he presents himself on Instagram and LinkedIn is not the reality of his poor service and how he treats people.  I wish I had avoided Paul Vu and EDA Frames.  Not only because of the financial impact but the stress of the whole saga, the emotional disappointment of my dreams being crushed, and, my complete sadness and disbelief that there are people in this world that think it's ok to treat another human being like that. If after reading this review you still choose to work with Paul Vu and EDA Frames, good luck.
