Came in on 7/4/25 and was assisted by Cassie, who was extremely helpful!!! She was able to answer all my questions and was beyond helpful and patient with me in assisting me with selecting frames. She brought out about 20 pairs to ensure I found the best fit and ones that suited my skin tone and face shape, and was extremely honest if they weren't a good choice. Husband left eyeglasses in Lyft has hard prescription for 24hr turn around. Called 5 places locally since we from out of town on vacation. No one could get us lenses soon, maybe 7+ days ordered. Last Lenscrafters recommended this location would have lenses he needed. I called and Kelly 06/14/24 was so helpful she looked up for us and we able get here before closing. My husband and I had to get new eye prescriptions and we both got new glasses at LensCrafters. We loved Christine - she was so helpful and patient with the both of us. She was extremely insightful in finding the right frames for our face shape and color as well. She was also able to bring down the price with special discounts. I was impressed with their new technology and the entire staff was attentive even with additional customers in the store. They had a virtual try on with frames - was another way to get a good perspective on how the glasses will look on your face, especially if they did not have the color way in store. I recently got my prescription and came into this location to get my glasses. First and foremost, the customer service was a 10. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. They had my prescription lenses in stock so I was able to pick out a pair of frames and walk out with my glasses the same day. As far as price, it's about on par with my medical provider. The 40% off brings the cost down to where someone with insurance would pay, for an extra pair of glasses. I did pay for the extra coverage in case I damage my glasses or something happened to them. Seems like that would cover most of what everyone on here is complaining about. read more

I will be 100 percent honest, I just signed up for a yelp account for this review alone. I have never left a nasty review for anyone because I have better things to do. I would not recommend doing business with these people. at all. I purchased my glasses a little over 2 years ago with some hard earned money. I needed new ones because my old pair I had for over 10 years!!!!! well, the pair I have now look like complete garbage after less than a quarter of the time. If I could figure out how to post a picture I would. Glasses (lenses specifically) should not fall apart and deteriorate this quickly. Absolute garbage product. I called to see if they could hook me up, only to be spoken to derogatorily about how I bought the STANDARD anti-glare instead of PREMIUM. Wow. sorry i'm not rich!!! its the glare coating falling apart that make my lenses almost unusable. I called them today They kept saying well if you come in we have some good discounts! like a car dealership all they want is your money... for a pair of glasses that might last a couple years. She said normal wear and tear is normal...If you saw my glasses your jaw would drop. this ain't normal wear and tear, its an expensive piece of trash now. I've been buying my glasses here for years. They always have the best frames and wonderful customer service!

I really want to like this place since it's on my insurance's preferred list. I made an appointment for an eye exam. The technician was very nice and explained the tests she was doing. The optometrist I chose however didn't have time for me. She talked as fast as she did the exam and I was in and out in 10 minutes. That might work for some people but not for me. She was in a hurry and I was just a number she needed to get through that day. I tried to explain my concern for my vision since my mother was blind but instead of listening she chose to dispute everything I'd lived through for the last 10 years. It was if that experience was unimportant to her and the only thing she cared about what getting me out the door. Needless to say I'll be finding a different optometrist next year. I did look for frames while I was there. To their credit they were vigilant about Covid safety measures. There really wasn't anyone to help with selection though. You pick out what you like then take them to an area where you can try them on without a mask. The selection was modest but ultimately nothing that worked for me but they were busy with many people finding what they wanted. Pricing is ok. Most frames were under $150. I don't know what they charge for lenses - I didn't get that far. read more

I really needed new glasses so I decided to try out the LensCrafters in Washington Square Mall -- its very close and after browsing their website I saw a few styles I thought would work for me.. I was surprised to find all the styles I had seen online actually in the store! The staff was super friendly and let me browse in peace without following me around or suggesting what would look best.. (I might want those buddy holly specs without any saleslady telling me they are too masculine!) After I made my choice, I realized I had left my prescription at home, they said it if was a Portland doctor they could call and it get it from them.. (it was a WA dr, but how nice of them to offer!) They put my chosen frames on hold (until Saturday! it was a Wednesday) I came back later that day and the woman was super sweet as she helped me decide on lenses ($185 for regular & $310 for no-glare -- talk about sticker shock). She also helped me to save money by letting me do the 20% off sale and giving me the step by steps to bill my insurance personally so I could save the most. It only took two hours for the frames to be ready -- unfortunately I had class so I came roaring back in at 8:55pm (they close at 9) and a different sales lady was super sweet helping me get the right adjustments and ignoring that it was a little past closing. My glasses are adorable and the experience was great. Plus everybody kept complimenting how cute my new glasses were.. I'm sure they do that to everyone but it made me feel good! read more

I'm not a fan of getting my eyes checked. I'm far- sighted so I have had my eyes checked once in the last ten years. Another reason I hadn't been back to get my eyes checked out is because I'd had a rough experience years ago at another eye clinic with a certain test they ran on my eyes and I really didn't want a repeat of that, .but we use our eyes all the time and, it was just time to get the eyes checked... So I went to Lens Crafters at Washington Square mall. First of all, they were fantastic when I had to reschedule my appointment to Saturday. They were easy to get to. Most of all, everyone from the front desk, to eye tech and the doctor were incredibly considerate with my concerns about the eye tests. They walked me through everything and explained what they were doing and why. It won't be another 10 years before I get my eyes checked again and when I go back, I'll be going to Lens Crafters. read more

Great folks at the optometrist next door. Decent selection of glasses, though mostly higher end. Shopping for glasses, though? Sigh. 1. Leave yourself hours and hours (like up to 3) to place your order. It was ridiculous. 2. Be careful with their prices. Getting costs nailed down was like being at a used car dealership....with insurance, without insurance, if you do this, if you do that.... And, most importantly.... 3, If you pay yourself and self-submit to your insurance, you can leverage promotions and AAA discounts... but WATCH OUT!! LensCrafters may unscrupulously and fraudulently ALSO bill your insurance for the glasses you ALREADY PAID FOR. It might take MONTHS for that to get sorted out so you can get your claim paid. Happened to me. My best advice? Pick someplace else. My experience here from start to finish was absolutely miserable! read more

These people have lost my business forever after only one visit. I have a perfectly good pair of frames and a new prescription and they gave me some lame excuse as to why they couldn't put lenses in my frames. I've had new lenses put in these frames before so why are they so delicate now? Imagine my surprise when I was talking to a friend and they had the EXACT same experience only with 2 different pairs of frames! Are you guys unaware that there is a recession and that those of us who wear glasses full time and have expensive prescriptions cannot always afford new frames and might like to keep their existing frames? Also, that if you treat me right I will be back and will buy frames? Sorry- feels like a scam to me and I won't be back. BTW: CostCo put in new lenses with no problems whatsoever and said they had no idea why anyone else would refuse. So if it's just your whacked out policy then put a sign at the door saying so. I don't typically leave reviews but I am very disappointed. I had purchased glasses online, received them yesterday (5-17-21) and loved them, but they were a little loose on my face. So I decided to stop by lense crafters at Washington square mall on 5-18-21. Lady was super helpful. Explained that I just wanted to get an adjustment. She took care of it very quickly! She gave them back to me, tried them on and the fit was much more secure! I noticed they seemed a little dirty and tried to wipe it off. Then to noticed both lenses towards the nose is insanely scratched! To my concern, I asked her if she used heat on the bridge of the frame to bend them. She said no and told me she also noticed that the lenses were scratched. She tried to tell me that they were already scratched when she got them! In the photo that I provided, you can clearly see that there was heat applied as the coating on the lenses had shrunken and damaged them. If you zoom in, you can see above the big scratches, the ripple affect of an object that was burned. I just picked them up in perfect condition yesterday. I walked out with disappointment because now I'm going to have to get new lenses. Being in business, this is extremely unprofessional work. The lady was nice, but she did not own up to her mistake of damaging my lenses, therefore my reasoning of leaving this review. Before getting an adjustment, take a picture of your glasses so you have proof in case they damage them and won't admit to it! read more

I'd have to agree with the other reviews. I do believe they are ripping off customers. I am in the barrel for upwards of $600 incl. Ogata eye-care. Ogata got a nice $138 for 15 minutes of giving me essentially the same eye-prescription as 2 years ago. I believe Ogata & Lens Crafters have a nice little $$$ situation going on & both are playing in tandem. Ironically I purchased the "discount" glasses! I'd be frightened to see the non-discounted glasses. While there were no customer service issues with either place but their price point is absurd. I would strongly recommend not going to either one of these places. Pricing is a critical point of running a business and that's why 2 stars were given. I'm going to look at Costco and other places in the future. To anyone reading this: listen to the other reviews and avoid Lens Crafters & Ogata. read more

I am blown away by the care and attention I received at LensCrafters at Washington Square Mall today. You know, glasses are going to hang on your face, and it isn't unreasonable to want glasses to enhance the way one looks. At the very least, glasses shouldn't make me look uglier than I already am. ;) They actually understand that. I was on a limited budget, only able to buy the cheapest lenses they had in stock, and in spite of that they took their time with me to make sure I would enjoy my glasses. This has been the best experience in buying glasses, and that is saying something. If you need an optometrist, I recommend Dale Ogata, next door to this LensCrafters. They ran every test imaginable to detect eye diseases or potential future problems. They can check your eyeball without dilating your eyes, which means you don't have to spend eight hours not being able to focus your eyes, or wear those huge glasses to protect yourself from light sensitivity. I got everything I needed in spades... in about an hour. read more

I came in here tonight and I swear I tried on every single pair of frames in the store. I was probably in there for an hour. Both Tony and Amoreena helped me tremendously with what to focus on when choosing a pair of frames! I had no idea what any of the numbers meant for sizing, so Tony was great in explaining all the different options. There are so many options now in addition to the anti-reflective coating and it was great that he had examples of what all the premium options would look like. In addition to that, there was a great discount and I feel like I really got my money's worth for everything I ordered. These two people are fantastic and I seriously wanted them to follow me around the mall and be my customer service people in each of the stores, that's how amazing they were! I would give 0 stars if I could, Today I needed to get my glasses because I need them for driving. My glasses broke yesterday. I scheduled an online appointment. I got into the mall at 11:40, my appointment was at 11:45. I frantically looked for the store couldn't find it anywhere, got to the direction and it told me that they were "working on updating the system" so I called them at 11:45 and was there by 11:50. Needless to say hard to find their store. Once I got there I told the guy I had an appointment and he asked if I wanted to look at glasses before checking in, so I did. Looked and picked out about 5 pair and the brunette lady was super nice. 10 mins pass by the guy that was working asked if I have checked in with the doctor yet, which I didn't know there was a place to check in thought they would let the doctor know, I guess not. I go up to this small corner of a desk in the corner of the place and tell them I have an appointment, the lady continues to tell me that I am more than 10 minutes late and they cannot see me today and to come back tomorrow. Are you kidding me?! The guy who misdirected me should be fired for doing an awful job of getting people where they need to be, wasting my time and my gas. Will not be coming back, customer service is TRASH. I don't blame anyone but the guy that helps sell glasses . desk people just doing their jobs . read more

Beware everyone! They sold me faulty eye frames! These were frames that cost over $500 with lenses. When I went to get new frames to replace the faulty frames, I asked for a discount, they gave me the proverbial run around. When I asked what guarantee I would have on the new frames, they told me I could buy insurance. When I questioned this type of business practice the assistant manger who I was dealing with told me I could talk to the manger. I decided I wasted enough time and didn't feel I would be treated any different, just get a different run around. Go somewhere with integrity that will stand behind their product. read more

I hadn't bought glasses in over two years before going here. I went in and right off the bat the sales lady was super helpful. She let me know about the extras (anti glare, insurance, etc.) and wasn't pushy, and let me roam around the store in peace to look for glasses. When I finally found the pair I wanted she told me to come back in about an hour and they would be done (at least I think it was an hour). After roaming the mall for a while I came back to purchase my glasses, and was offered discounted insurance. (The glasses were already pretty expensive and I just didn't have an extra $25, and she cut it down to $10). Overall, a nice experience. I'm glad I purchased my glasses from them. They're super comfortable, they fit right, and they function correctly. I'll be going back there next time I need glasses. read more

I am a repeat customer and wanted to get some different lens on my sunglass. I found out it is cheaper to buy a new sunglass with prescription then to put on your sunglass. This lady was helping me and told me she was the manager. As I was looking for a new sunglass so I can put prescription. This lady just got up and few minutes later and I found out she was going home. Then the general manager never said sorry and just told me that she went home. Horrible, horrible, horrible! I came in for sunglasses and waited months for my frames to arrive. When I came in to pick them up the frames were bent and the tech in the back was extremely out out to fix them. I have progressive lenses and I still can't see out of the sunglasses. When I mentioned that I thought my prescription was off, I was ignored. I still have the Tiffany sunglasses that I can't see out of. I paid $750 bucks with sunglasses that don't function. I think I'll cut my losses and sell the frames on CraigsList! read more

This place is just bad. On my recent trip here, I went in to get new contacts and get my vision checked. I was brought to the back by a guy into a room with three machines to test my eye health and what not. This guy was clearly untrained, and did not know how to use the machines properly. Each machine we had to do multiple times. The worst was the machine that blows air into your eye to test for glaucoma. We had to try over ten times because he couldn't work it. I sat there, repeatedly getting air blown into my eye (super uncomfortable!). He couldnt get the machine to read and was getting really frustrated, as was I. He kept telling me to "stop blinking" and blaming it on me for it not working. "You blinked again!" "I need you to stop blinking" .... REALLY? Pretty sure it's 100% impossible to NOT blink when high pressured air is blown into your eyes. Eventually he brought his coworker in, and she got a read on the first try. Anyway, I met with a doctor, who was more professional, and we chose contacts and had no problems. She told me that it would take 3-5 days for my contacts to arrive, so she sent me home with 5 days of trial contacts so I could see until my order arrived. A week and a half later, I called asking where my contacts were. They said they hadn't arrived yet, which was frustrating because it had already been twice as long as they said it would be. Fast forward a few days, I call back and ask again. I'm told that I picked a very popular contact brand, and that it will still be a while. That same day (about an hour later), they called back and said that they actually have 3/4 of my boxes. I picked those up, and waited 3 weeks for the last box. A month after I picked up all my contacts, I received a phone call from their office telling me my contacts were ready to pick up, even though I already received my entire order. I got my first prescription a couple of weeks ago, and my son had to have his sunglasses redone. We went to LensCrafters at Washington Square and the team has been amazing. My son had old sun glasses frames he wanted to reuse, and unfortunately, they broke during the process. The store exchange them at no cost for the same brand (Ray Ban) and the same size. As it was the first time for me to have glasses, I was not sure about the design, and the treatment and coating I should take. It turned out that I needed a coating on my sunglasses I hadn't chosen first. They redid both lenses at no cost. Then the prescription from my eye doctor was not accurate (at least, I could not deal with it). They redid THREE pair of lenses (reading, distance and sunglasses) at no cost, and always with a huge smile. They really care about customers and I highly recommend them. read more
