    Husband left eyeglasses in Lyft has hard prescription for 24hr turn around. Called 5 places locally since we from out of town on vacation. No one could get us lenses soon, maybe 7+ days ordered. Last Lenscrafters recommended this location would have lenses he needed. I called and Kelly 06/14/24 was so helpful she looked up for us and we able get here before closing. She helped suggests frames and then Chad had him fitted. Next day they text us frames ready. We are grateful process we were in and out. Thanks for the Lenscrafters team!

    I had a great experience here. April helped me and she was great and we found Rec Specs which are perfect and exactly what my son needed. We ordered them Saturday and they should be in any day. I will update if any issues getting the actual glasses. The price was ok thanks to coupons April added.

    I will be 100 percent honest, I just signed up for a yelp account for this review alone. I have never left a nasty review for anyone because I have better things to do. I would not recommend doing business with these people. at all. I purchased my glasses a little over 2 years ago with some hard earned money. I needed new ones because my old pair I had for over 10 years!!!!! well, the pair I have now look like complete garbage after less than a quarter of the time. If I could figure out how to post a picture I would. Glasses (lenses specifically) should not fall apart and deteriorate this quickly. Absolute garbage product. I called to see if they could hook me up, only to be spoken to derogatorily about how I bought the STANDARD anti-glare instead of PREMIUM. Wow. sorry i'm not rich!!! its the glare coating falling apart that make my lenses almost unusable. I called them today They kept saying well if you come in we have some good discounts! like a car dealership all they want is your money... for a pair of glasses that might last a couple years. She said normal wear and tear is normal...If you saw my glasses your jaw would drop. this ain't normal wear and tear, its an expensive piece of trash now. I think they are actually damaging my eyes, definitely can't be good for them anyways....too bad I don't have the money to purchase new ones during this crisis......

    I really needed new glasses so I decided to try out the LensCrafters in Washington Square Mall -- its very close and after browsing their website I saw a few styles I thought would work for me.. I was surprised to find all the styles I had seen online actually in the store! The staff was super friendly and let me browse in peace without following me around or suggesting what would look best.. (I might want those buddy holly specs without any saleslady telling me they are too masculine!) After I made my choice, I realized I had left my prescription at home, they said it if was a Portland doctor they could call and it get it from them.. (it was a WA dr, but how nice of them to offer!) They put my chosen frames on hold (until Saturday! it was a Wednesday) I came back later that day and the woman was super sweet as she helped me decide on lenses ($185 for regular & $310 for no-glare -- talk about sticker shock). She also helped me to save money by letting me do the 20% off sale and giving me the step by steps to bill my insurance personally so I could save the most. It only took two hours for the frames to be ready -- unfortunately I had class so I came roaring back in at 8:55pm (they close at 9) and a different sales lady was super sweet helping me get the right adjustments and ignoring that it was a little past closing. My glasses are adorable and the experience was great. Plus everybody kept complimenting how cute my new glasses were.. I'm sure they do that to everyone but it made me feel good!

    I'm not a fan of getting my eyes checked. I'm far- sighted so I have had my eyes checked once in the last ten years. Another reason I hadn't been back to get my eyes checked out is because I'd had a rough experience years ago at another eye clinic with a certain test they ran on my eyes and I really didn't want a repeat of that, .but we use our eyes all the time and, it was just time to get the eyes checked... So I went to Lens Crafters at Washington Square mall. First of all, they were fantastic when I had to reschedule my appointment to Saturday. They were easy to get to. Most of all, everyone from the front desk, to eye tech and the doctor were incredibly considerate with my concerns about the eye tests. They walked me through everything and explained what they were doing and why. It won't be another 10 years before I get my eyes checked again and when I go back, I'll be going to Lens Crafters.

    I was a little surprised at the 3 star rating for the Tigard Vision Center. Good thing I didn't let…read morethe negative reviews sway me from making appts for my husband and myself. Due to a few years of procrastination and then COVID, it had been 6 years since our last eye exams and getting new glasses, so we were long overdue -- when road signs become almost too blurry to see while driving, you KNOW it's time to stop procrastinating. I checked the website and I liked that appts were required so that customer visits could be spaced out in order to limit the number of people sitting in the waiting area at any one time. We were the only ones waiting when we arrived. The reception desk is directly in front when you enter and we were warmly greeted immediately. To save time, we had filled out all our paperwork online so we were all checked in. I am bad about remembering names but everyone we came in contact with was friendly and seemed like they truly enjoyed their job. There is a private parking lot and the inside of the building seemed fairly newly remodeled and was clean and well organized. Everyone is masked and masks are still required for anyone entering the building. The one person's name I did remember (as well as her great glasses!) was Lindsey (sp). I was pretty anxious about my exam since it had been so long since my last one and I'm not getting any younger these days. Lindsey expertly guided me through all the fun eye tests and answered all my questions. Dr Tammy Nguyen did our exams. She was so nice and professional and explained everything she was doing as she examined my eyes and had me read all those eye charts. I especially loved that for an extra fee, you can have a digital scan of your eyes rather than those annoying dilation drops. I was especially worried about age-related macular degeneration as both of my parents had it. Dr Nguyen assured me that there was no indication of it but I did have a few cataracts that were normal for someone my age, so we'll need to keep an eye on it. Except for the normal changes all our eyes go through, I was relieved to know that everything was OK and all I needed were new prescription lenses. After the exam, I was escorted to the room where you choose your new frames. Everything was organized and displayed in a way that made sense. I'm kinda overwhelmed by too many choices, like kid in a candy store with a dollar to spend. Again, I didn't get her name but the young technician who helped me was professional and patient so I put myself completely in her hands. She helped me pick out two new pair of glasses that fit and flattered my face (I chose the Ray-Ban aviator-style sunglasses, the only style I will wear). And I'm not going to lie, prices aren't as low as Costco but the selection is excellent and you do get what you pay for. My husband even found a pair of wrap-around sunglasses he hasn't been able to find anywhere else. We were both very happy with the customer service, our frame and lens choices and the experience overall. Can't wait until our glasses are ready! Tigard Vision Center is a solid 5 stars.

However, if you are coming here because of an insurance change, like I did, here are a few questions you should ask before your appointment: 1. How much is the exam. 2. What additional examinations will be needed for your vision needs and what is the cost of those. 3 Do they sell the lenses you use. (In my case, the ones they prescribed were 5 times more expensive than my usual ones - with a one time rebate) As it turned out, it was much more economical to pay out of pocket to go to my previous doctor who is out of network. Lesson learned.

Well the day I called Alexa answered bright and cheery as usual. I told her my sad story and she asked for my information so she could look up my account. Well I apparently had a TWO year warranty for scratches!!! Yeeeehaw!! So she said NO PROBLEM, we will just order the new lenses and then call you when they come in. You can swing by anytime it's convenient to get them swapped out! After about two weeks I realized that I hadn't given her my new phone number. So even IF she called she wouldn't get me! Lol. So I called and (yup Alexa again!) She said hey!!! We have your lenses!! I popped in the next day and it was just her and Shay (I apologize if I've misspelled your name!) They got right to it and Shay had a hard time cleaning my glasses as I'd put these cheap plastic pads on to keep them from sliding lol She took those off, reshaped them and I keep them on my nose and then got back to cleaning the lenses. She went back again into the room Alexa had swapped the lenses out and called Alexa in. They found a HUGE scratch on my NEW lenses!! Then as she finally got rhem cleaned and fitted, she found another on the other lens. I was not upset because what can you do right? But Shay said THIS isn't acceptable. She said try he first thing the next day she'd call the lab to expedite me a new pair of lenses. That would only have been a week tomorrow. I was VERY impressed, again with th level OF POST service/appointment care. They genuinely care and genuinely like what they do. That's clear. I'll keep going here as long as they'll see me!! Love the staff and love my glasses!! And I KNOW I'll have some new lenses soon too. Which will be checked and double checked before they call me lol

I've seen three different eye doctors there and each of them are kind, caring and helpful. Dr.Harris is hilarious and down to earth. I always feel appreciated and welcomed at every appointment. There was only one staff member, a woman, working in the eyeglass department. She provided an initial quote but soon admitted that the price for the blue light protection was incorrect. Shortly after, she realized another mistake, as the discount for the second pair had not been applied. This was followed by yet another correction, and the errors continued for another three times. As the pricing kept changing, I began to feel increasingly uncomfortable with the lack of professionalism. I asked her to provide an itemized breakdown of the charges for each pair so I could clearly understand the costs. She told me that itemized charges were not available and only offered a total price for each pair without any details. I asked again, explaining that I wanted to know the individual costs for the lenses and frames. She refused and stated that this information would not be provided. She then mentioned that she had worked there for 19 years, insisted that she knew what she was doing, and told me that if I was not comfortable, I should leave. This was by far the worst and most unprofessional service I have experienced in over 30 years of visiting eye care shops.

The customer service is now shockingly poor. Just getting the initial appointment seemed ridiculous while the person scheduling me seemed to be rolling her eyes when I had the nerve to be questioning what their latest and earliest appointments are. They are close to my house but I work close to Hillsboro which can be tricky to get to or from sometimes. Saturday appointments are not available and even regular appointments are booked out for weeks - perhaps they are so busy that they just don't care? I genuinely do not drive around during the day. I also was not aware they have half of Beaverton under construction so I was running late by about 10 minutes. The entire lobby was full of people and the person at the front had a conversation with the eye person who I think my appointment was with.... the eye person glared weirdly at me. Was it my cane? I was super confused and trying to get to the counter around all the people storming their counter. The person at the counter had wandered away, then over five minutes later they come back finally to say I was now over 15 minutes past my appointment so he would have to reschedule me? I get it if I actually was THAT late and seriously, making the appointment the first time with a person talking down to me was already challenging weeks before but this just seemed like they overbooked and were finding an excuse to just get rid of me. Thanks, got the memo. Oh, look...here's another place my insurance recommends down the road with available appointments today. Bye...

The doctors care here is excellent and in the past the front of house was also giving excellent customer service. Present day that this is not the case. I had my appointment in the end of January for my eye exam and purchase of glasses. I was quoted 7 to 10 business days to recieve them. On the 10th business day I called to get an update on when they would be in. Whoever answered the phone gave me so much attitude for asking a simply question. I was shocked. They told me that they never quoted 7 to 10 business days, it had only been 9 days according to their system, and that they always quote 10 to 14 days. They said that they will call when my glasses were in and hung up on me. Another week later I called back for an update, because at this point it had been 15 days according to their plan. They said that the glasses were not correct when they arrived and had to be sent back. When I inquired about why I was not inform of this they could not provide an answer. I was quoted another week. I tried to call a week later and got no response. Now 6 weeks have gone by at this point. I have to call them again because they do not know how to pick up a phone clearly. I was informed that my glasses have been waiting for me. When I asked why wasnt I informed, they said that a manager had to call me back to give an explanation. I never got that call. Now I had to wait another week on top of this to go pick up my new glasses because they didnt have any openings. The fact that I had to wait another week to pick up was outrageous. When I finally did get my glasses, they didnt apologize or anything to make up for the fact that I had to wait 7 weeks for my medical device. My advice, fire the front of house staff. Clearly training on customer service isnt a priority when it should be. As someone who has worked in retail for most of my adult life, this is just unacceptable. I would never treat a paying customer this way. Let alone a customer with medical needs.

I felt genuinely cared for, never rushed, and everything was explained clearly. The customer service was excellent from start to finish, and the office itself is welcoming and well run. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend them.

    Working with Paul Vu and EDA Frames turned into one of the worst experiences of my life.  After 14…read moremonths of trying to get one prototype frame made in the end I had to concede that Paul Vu would not complete on the goods and services because he ceased all communication and I had to walk away with a $2K loss. This is a lot of money for me. The timelines he stated for stages of work were complete and utter fiction, he did not make a single deadline and was weeks and months late. The worse of it was he lied.  He stated on email that production work had started on my frame.  For 4 months I emailed multiple times chasing updates and receipt of goods. I phoned but it always went to voicemail (which I left). I even posted comments on Instagram asking him to get in touch (which he read and deleted) but he would just not respond.  Eventually a friend, who is a company director and product designer, befriended him on LinkedIn and asked what was going on. This seemed to motivate Paul and he made contact.  It was only then did I find out that production on my frame had not even actually started, so all those months of waiting were for nothing. He never apologised or offered any kind of explanation as to why he had lied (I asked numerous times).  Mistakes were made throughout - on measurement calculations, acetate orders, wrong design used in a 3D print - all of which I had to pick up on and point out.  If he didn't like a question he would just ignore it and not answer it.  God forbid you as the client would query any unauthorised design changes because he'd take complete offence and wouldn't enter into any collaborative discussions. How he presents himself on Instagram and LinkedIn is not the reality of his poor service and how he treats people.  I wish I had avoided Paul Vu and EDA Frames.  Not only because of the financial impact but the stress of the whole saga, the emotional disappointment of my dreams being crushed, and, my complete sadness and disbelief that there are people in this world that think it's ok to treat another human being like that. If after reading this review you still choose to work with Paul Vu and EDA Frames, good luck.
