I will admit, they did crush my dreams of snowmobiling on a glacier and seeing the Northern Lights because it was too late in the season. But hey, at least I knew. They provide you with awesome recommendations to get you going whether it be attractions, places to eat or things to do. The log cabin in front is more of a welcome center and has some history and a greeter. The larger building in the back is more of where the magic happens. That is where you will find all the attraction brochures and the information of what is operating during that time of year. Both buildings are very clean and organized and they are strategically located by quite a few souvenir shops. There is metered street parking on the street in front of and adjacent to the Center. It was very helpful and got me a good itinerary put together. Like I said, this is a must stop when you are planning things to do during your vacation in anchorage.

She offered a variety of options, plus some walking recommendations, and a plug for the 1-hour Trolley tour. She also provided a map, with easy guidance and advice on restaurant layouts and wait times. We took her up on one Lunch option at 49th State Brewery and the Trolley Tour after that. Both were solid recommendations. We'd gladly come back at another time looking for more.

Our agent, Karlyn, went above and beyond to make sure our trip stayed on track. Due to unexpected road closures, we missed our scheduled boat departure, but Karlyn acted quickly and was able to get us on the next boat. Her responsiveness, professionalism, and dedication turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless experience. We truly appreciate everything she did and highly recommend Alaska Tours and Karlyn for exceptional customer service.

We had already decided on the cruise we wanted to take, and we had booked it separately. We started to put together what we wanted to do on the land tour, and doing the planning on our own quickly became overwhelming. We looked at several websites that offered travel arrangements and we decided on Alaska Tour & Travel. Mostly because the Best of Denali & Kenai Fjords Tour 120 offered a variety of activities and things we wanted to do. It was an even bigger bonus to find out that we could make alterations to further enhance our tour. Even with those alterations, they were able to put the journey together in a seamless manner, leaving us to just enjoy Alaska without the worry of how we were going to get from one destination or excursion to the next. From start to end, Alaska Tour & Travel was there to assist us and keep us informed as the trip progressed. This was so comforting and made our trip very enjoyable. With the planning services we received, we can't say enough good things about Alaska Tour & Travel. We both highly recommend Alaska Tour and Travel and will use them when we plan our next trip to Alaska. We would also like to give a shout out to Kala Jenkins and Skye Smith for all the work they did for us. Thanks for a great Anniversary!

He showed off Anchorage in the very best way, and he's got awesome, interesting stories. Highlights: * We saw a moose in the wild, almost immediately! * The land is just stunning. We got perfect weather and, again, a fantastic guide. * Brooks totally pampered us - brought everyone cold waters, tons of snacks, and a comfy, pristine van to ride in. * Overall I'm uncomfortable with penned animals, but the conservation center has a pair of rescued brown bears and a trio of black bear rescues, and it was cool to see them and learn their stories. Wishes: * Wish people could be grouped by level of preferred activity. We had the bad luck to book at the same time as some folks from a cruise ship, and they didn't want to walk anywhere, spend time outdoors - they even made us skip lunch and come back early because of their cruise timeline. That was a big bummer.

We were picked up at our hotel and whisked off on an adventurous day full of rich Alaskan history, comic relief, amazing views, plenty of time for pictures, and so much more than we could have ever asked for. Alaska is absolutely beautiful. It was great to be able to hear so many interesting facts as well as background on each town, glacier, or area we passed. There were snacks and waters for all guests, which definitely came in handy! 10/10 would recommend! Would love to come back in the spring or summer and take another tour.

Aside from the van being very nice and well designed, Carolyn, the owner, is so professional and kind. I lost the keys to the van on a hike about 2 hours out of town and was stuck outside during winter and when I called for help she had a preplanned solution to it that helped me get back in quickly. It was my first time driving on icy roads and I did cause some damage to the van, which was worrying because I was afraid of telling the owner directly about this, but she was incredibly professional about it, reassuring, and helpful solving it. To make matters worse, in a fit of exhaustion upon returning the vehicle, I locked the only set of keys in the van. She was unbelievably patient despite a whole comedy of errors on my behalf. Overall lovely experience with this company and highly recommend.

This was our first time in a camper van, and we were a little apprehensive, but the van is easy to drive, and is well equipped with everything you will need to make your Alaska Adventure worry free. It was a joy not to have to set up a tent each night, and to know we would be warm and dry if we encountered bad weather. The van has a heater and a refrigerator, as well as more storage space than we expected. Compared to the high cost of renting a car to get around and still having to pay for a campground or hotel room, the van cost was very reasonable. Plus, because we didn't have to pack up each time we moved to a new location, we had more time to enjoy our trip.

They called me back a day in advance to review arrival times, the itinerary, and what we needed for clothes, food, etc. We arrived a little early and offered coffee or spring water and a very comfortable seating area after we checked in. Our first day we were flown in a 10 seater for about 2 hours to a village called King Salmon, I believe where we were transferred to a 10 seater pontoon boat that flew us to the Brooks area of Katmai. it was a spectacular day of watching the bears feeding off the salmon at the falls. After spending much of the day exploring the park and taking a cultural tour we were flown back to Anchorage. The pilot was extremely knowledgeable of the history, geology, and geography of the flight and made a deviation to circle the volcano crater of Mt Spur. The next we arrived again and then escorted to another building where we watched a film on bear safety and then fitted with water proof boots for walking thru the waters to view the bears. we were flown in a smaller 6 seater plane (just 5 passenger) to Katmai NP where we watched bears digging for clams in several locations. A most excellent lunch box with our choice of a sandwich, granola bar, assorted chips, apple, and a tasty pasta salad and beverage was provided. At the end of our tour, we were flown back to Anchorage. The staff including Anna-Lynn, both pilots, Dan & Abel were all super customer service oriented (something sorely missed to frequently these days). I obviously can't say enough positives about this operation.
