It says a great deal about the place when you walk in and are not greeted properly or looked at in the face when spoken to. I had worked with this dental facility 1 1/2 years ago and was given a price for it of $400, I had left a nice grand waiting to gather more funds for the remainder. Time moved on and today I needed treatment but I took $200 less than I was owed back with me because I refused to be belittled by the staff. I asked if as a Veteran discounts could be granted but were rewarded with an indignant comment about they don't give things "for free" not what I said. We had a plan but life got in the way and your charge for today's work would be too high with the prickly personalities, adorned with the unpleasant commentaries I opted for a refund that caused a stir. I had $641 but $405 was given back. The staff acted like it was a favor, she even slighted me to the side when walking towards me, and said "I will see you at the front" forcing me to go out of their corridor and to the front desk where she placed the check on the counter as I extended my hand out to her when she could have given the check back to me on my hands but because they refuse to respect veterans or perhaps people who oppose them in any way. On top of all that, the kind receptionist Faith mocked me with a "BYE!" greeting as I exited the door. NOT SO Very classy and refined... So I hope this review helps someone because I do not think anyone should be belittled for braving to ask if there could be a discount. They had funds I had left with them over a year now and this tone or wording the staff used is unbecoming of professionals. Times are rough for veterans if you don't know it, become aware of this fact because unlike you, we went to war, we have seen how ugly the world is out there and kept that out there so you don't have to see it. All we ask in return is a bit of restraint and reframing your thoughts and comments when you address us. We are NOT fragile but we have faced harder hardships than most and patience, kindness, and understanding can go a long way, however, your lack of respect but rather badgering nature is unwelcomed as such your unprofessionalism should NOT go unnoticed. read more

Ugliest crowns I've ever seen. A color never found in nature that I think was developed for use in sci-fi flicks on strange new aliens. And they look like they were made for a basketball player--they are huge! OK, we figured out that just using three of the crowns would leave room for a temporary one in the leftover space, so at least they all physically fit in my mouth. Now it's Dr. Mo Saleh, the ONLY dentist I have ever gone to in my entire life that I looked forward to seeing and didn't dread! This man is the sweetest man and most attentive dentist alive, I'll swear by it! He goes out of his way to make sure everything is how you need it to be...he does not accept insurance, but he works with you on what you can afford and makes it very reasonable! I went in for a consultation and it was more than I thought it would be. He didn't get mad he just told me, "please go look around and get prices at other places. I want you to get the best deal you possibly can." I was blown away...who does that???!!! My respect for him started that day. I went and got other quotes for what I needed. Not only were they over double what he quoted me (ALL OF THEM!!!) they seemed offended that I wanted to look around. They told me I needed to snag that "deal" before it was gone...I wonder if they all went to the same conning school. Anyway, I went back to Dr. Saleh and told him I wanted to go with him. I paid him upfront, and I'm not going to lie I expected to get minimal effort...boy was I wrong!!! I paid the cheaper price yet I was treated like I paid the higher price! On top of him working with me to get everything just right...he guarantees his work for 5 years!!! Anytime I need anything in the dentist area you can bet I'm going to Dr. Saleh! And the icing on the cake? His office manager/the one in the room with him...??? Her name is Faith and she is absolutely amazing! As a person that has experience working in the dental field, I can attest that Vista Dental is using state-of-the-art dental equipment, including 3D cone beam technology, water lasers, and the best implant placement systems on the market. My experience with Dr. Kim was AMAZING! He took the time to address all of my concerns and questions (he's very knowledgeable!). I have lots of cavities and problems with snoring and he explained the best course of treatment without making me feel pressured and truly had my overall health in mind. He is truly a PAIN-FREE, holistic dentist! Being in the dental chair typically gives me anxiety but Dr. Kim and Keagan (the dental assistant who is hilarious btw) made me feel COMFORTABLE and completely at ease! I didn't feel the shot or any discomfort during the procedure. I had a lot of fillings (12) to be done but Dr. Kim completed them all in under 1.5hours! That's impressive! He even took the time to show me pictures of my teeth with his intraoral camera while he was doing the fillings! I do not recommend Dr Kim. I believe he means well, but he is NOT about the patient, just the $$$. I went in for a cleaning, and came out with an estimate of almost $10k for fillings and 8 crowns! There are several reasons I am not happy with Vista Dental located at 500 SE 192nd ave. When I first started there the staff was very efficient and friendly for my whole family. The front desk was also very friendly and Dr. ** stated that he would 'treat me like family'. I've had several interactions with Vista Dental however the last couple were a bit underwhelming. Here are a couple of concerns that I've had recently that I wanted to share. 1. Dental cleaning felt rushed for several members of my family. 2. Oral Surgery scheduled. As the dental office was scheduled to be closed during the holiday weekend, it was offered by Dr **'s office to drop a prescription in the mail. After the long weekend and no prescription received via the mail, I went into Dr ** 's for my scheduled appointment and mentioned that I didn't receive the prescription in the mail. The front desk staff quicklyindicated that she had heard several other folks the same day that didn't receive their prescription prior to the holiday weekend. 3. Oral Surgery performed Surgery appeared to be a success and I left the office with a hard prescription in hand feeling optimistic about the successful surgery. 4. Next phase - Additional work needed Office indicated that they called and left a message with the number on file to schedule an appointment. I confirmed the number was correct. Interestingly enough, I haven't had a voicemail on that line since 2007. Hindsight, probably a good thing. 5. Bill received. I specifically asked the hygienist if they were a preferred provider of my insurance prior to the oral surgery. One of the front desk staff indicated that they were and not to worry. As you might imagine, this resulted in a larger than expected bill for surgery performed. net/net - Dr **'s office was not a preferred provider. 6. Pain experienced in same area of surgery around 60 days later. I managed to locate the hard prescription that was written from Dr. ** to me approx 60 days prior and took it to the local pharmacy to get it filled. The prescription was not filled as Dr ** 's office told the pharmacy that the prescription was no longer valid.I followed up with Nicole at the front desk of Vista Dental directly the next day and she indicated that the prescription was no longer valid as it wasn't filled within 24 hours of the surgery. This explanation seems inconsistent with my interpretation of RCW 69.50.312 (which indicates prescriptions are valid for 6 months from date written). Lessons learned from my families experience with Vista Dental located at 500 SE 192nd ave 1. Check with your insurance provider to confirm that they are an 'in network/preferred' provider even though the staff may say otherwise. 2. If you are looking for a quick in/out dental cleaning without a dentist even taking a look at your teeth after they have been cleaned, this is your place. 3. If you receive a prescription from Vista Dental located at 500 SE 192nd ave, please be sure to get it filled within 24 hours (as per Nicole) of receiving as you may be at risk of Vista Dental canceling it. It may result in an embarrassing situation at the pharmacy, as you might imagine. 4. Pano Xray - More likely than not, they will want you to take a 'special' type of xray that Insurance does not cover. They charged me $75 cash. After calling around four other dentists, all four will bill as a regular xray and will not be an out of pocket charge. As a result of my families recent experience with Dr. **'s office, I have cancelled my upcoming cleaning's for my entire family, will not be scheduling additional dental work at Vista Dental located at 500 SE 192nd ave in Vancouver Wa. With having that said, if you do choose Vista Dental located at 500 SE 192nd ave, I hope you have an improved experience. read more

My 16 year old daughter had a horrible experience here! First they were very pushy with the $100 dental kits! 2nd the dentist didn't get her numb and continued working on her after she alerted him! My experience with Dr.Kim has always been good. Unfortunately over the last few years the level of customer service in his office has declined greatly which has forced me to look for a new dentist. Multiple errors in billing accompanied with poor customer service from the front desk has made going to the dentist that much more of a dreaded experience. This is a great dental place. This is the only dentist that actually listened to me when I complained about my jaw joint, did an X-ray and saw that it was bent. Instead of just telling me about phantom cavities and expecting me to trust it, they had a camera and showed me the evidence of it. I went here on the recommendation of an acquaintance (no longer acquainted with) and told Dr. Kim upfront that I do not trust dentists; I had a bad experience as a child with one who went WAY beyond the work to be done and it traumatized me! He seemed receptive to this but still did unnecessary work and, when I went back for my next check-up, told me I needed a filling on a tooth already filled...by him! (Not sure why I went back, gave him the benefit of the doubt?) Then he said I would need a crown, after much back-pedaling. I had never even needed a filling in my life up until that point and doubt I even needed it then! I have since been to Wendel Dental and asked about the "crown" and it is completely unnecessary; the tooth is fine! I would highly recommend Wendel Dental instead since they even sent me a check since I paid too much (my benefits kicked in more than they thought). I am not surprised to find so many one star reviews and people coming forward on incorrect treatment needed and suggested by Dr. Kim. I went to Dr. Kim because I had a front tooth that had a filling and it was discolored. He barely took a look at me and told me I had an infection and I needed my front tooth and the one next to it pulled and implants put in their place. He didn't even do a cold test on my tooth which is standard procedure of testing the nerves. I guess he saw an opportunity since my tooth was discolored- The office spent a bunch of time with me trying to help me figure out how I could afford the 8500.00 bill that day. They even asked me if I could afford 500.00 month... It was like a car dealership... They even tried closing the deal with financial options!!!!! I left crying and in tears... being a single mom with no money...Well after all the worrying and not sleeping for a few weeks I went and got a second and third opinion... It cost me 200.00 to get them but it was the best money I have ever spent... It saved my front teeth!! All I needed was a crown on my front tooth. The office of course would not give me any paperwork with the recommended treatment they told me. If they stand behind what they recommend so much why wouldn't they give it to me in writing. I called a few times and offered to just stop by to get a copy but they won't do it. I will be making a complaint to the dental board- He still wants me to pay for the mental abuse and anguish he caused me. I will fight it until the end. Please avoid .... Please avoid....
