BEST dentist I have ever been to! Their office is phenomenal; it had everything you'll need to ensure quality care. My first visit was extremely informational, which I really appreciated because most of the times I feel like other dentists just tell me what needs to get done & rack up my dental bill. Totally awesome dental practice! Very professional staff all around and extremely exceptional customer service! Very nice facility too. They are super supportive of military veterans and they closed on Veterans Day to the general public and have an event to provide free dental care just to Vets all day. Very appreciative and the most generous thing a business has ever gave me that I can remember in my military career, wow! My opinion is that this practice pushes crowns way too much. After all, this is a business: a crown is $1600 and a cavity filling is $150 and they have three machines in the back to pay for. Dr Dave said I should have two crowns done last year and in Jan, I see a different dentist there who says I need a third crown on the other side. I go to a dentist yesterday for a second opinion who says I do not need any crowns and instead filled a cavity under the gum line on one. Bottom line, I suggest you get a second opinion. The sheer amount of work I needed had kept me from seeing the dentist for a very long time. The thought of how bad it would be was enough. I needed just about every different horrible procedure. But two years of regular visits went by with almost no pain. I did it all with Advil. The advanced technology mixed with simply doing everything the right way, had me breezing through everything unaffected. The results are amazing, fantastic, and everything I could have hoped for. This is the dentist you want. Just go see them way earlier than I did. Every single person on staff was always happy and easy to deal with. My situation is more unique than a typical visit to the dentist. I chipped my two front teeth as a child and over the years was avoiding of permanently getting my teeth fixed due to the severe trauma experienced. I ended up in Washington for a visit to see family, randomly re-chipped my front teeth while out of town, and was extremely nervous about returning to my current dentist for a repair. My cousin called in to the office for me and I was accepted into the office last minute for a visit with Dr. Tom. After explaining my fears and concerns for the past 20 years of a permanent fix, Dr. Tom explained in great detail the whole procedure and was able to do the repair same day due to their awesome technology that they use to design crowns and caps. I decided to go with a permanent fix and chose to do both front teeth at once. I am still in shock of how flawless the whole procedure went, how kind I was treated by everyone, and how beautiful my new front teeth are. They are extremely professional and informative of what to anticipate and are very accommodating with ensuring a comfortable visit. They offered blankets & pillows, headphones for distraction and made sure to communicate to me that if I felt uncomfortable or in pain to just let them know at any point. Dr. Dave Stinchfield is amazing. Due to a low blood pressure condition my teeth once almost perfect became shattered and broken due to my frequent fainting and crashing on the floor and into walls. Dr. Dave did a very thorough assessment and I look forward to his recommendations for preserving my teeth until I can afford to get them all capped/veneered. Excellent care, great staff. The Office: As a First-timer to Discovery Dental earlier today, I found the office buzzing with seemingly happy people at 7am - yes, both patients and staff, were cheerful and mysteriously enthused to be at a dental office at 0700. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the front desk staff made immediately friendly eye-contact to greet me. I received a packet of documents to complete - all very user-friendly to interpret and answer questions... this is a nice relief from complex forms and redundant or exhaustive questions from past dental offices. The Staff: Within 5 minutes of arrival, I was greeted by Brittany, who gave me a quick tour (as a first-timer) and pleasantly highlighted their approach to my visit today - like a custom agenda just for me - pretty slick. She provided brief insight into their plethora of high-tech machines -- which is the most state-of-the-art highly impressive tools & technology I've seen in nearly 50 years of dental treatment. Once Brittany's intro and fairly extensive x-ray work was complete, Dr. Tom stopped in to visit and complete a number of new patient and routine exams. Dr. Tom was easily the most comfortable professional dentist I've been to with a great listening ear and confident and ease about him to alleviate any and all of my concerns. He walked me through all of my x-rays, panoramas, and real-time video pen-camera of my teeth and gum health. This was fascinating, eye-opening (to the unsightly plaque build-up), and ultra educational for me. Dr. Tom made me the most comfortable I could have possibly imagined being in a dental office (a new one to me at that.) And then there was Mandy, my new hygienist... what an answer to prayer of gentleness and thoroughness with the perfect blend of thoughtful communication (letting me know all the details of her cleaning plan, and getting to know a little about me as a slightly nervous patient.) Thanks a million for the excellent treatment today Brittany, Dr. Tom and Mandy!!! Favorites: It's hard to specify one favorite thing, because there are soooo many aspects of near-perfection in this dental office. As a guy who is a bit enamored with technology, I'd say that the amazing high-tech arsenal was a total WOW factor and gave me both peace of mind and confidence in their willingness to provide the best services possible to their patients. The other completely AWESOME characteristic about Discovery Dental has to be the staff. Every person I interacted with seemed to truly enjoy (perhaps love) their job and where they work. Since we've moved and have had to search for a new dentist - I sure do miss this whole office. You won't find a better dentist anywhere else. From the technology to the outstanding care - Dr Dave and Dr Tom are the absolute best. They are also extremely fair in their pricing and you can put your trust in them. spent a ridiculous amount of money on my teeth to get some crowns done, warranty only covered my teeth for 2 years if anything went wrong. 2 and a half years later one tooth losses its crown, my other teeth that were done by the doctor started aching roughly 3 months later. those two teeth have been pulled out by another dentist office and I was told by the operating doctor that my teeth were done with minimum care. they were weak and brittle, and now I have to spend 8000$ to get 2 new implants done and on top of that I still need my crown replaced cos it literally fell of as I was eating hard food. The doctor's name that operated on my teeth I don't remember, but what I remember is that he was bald, wore glasses, and had a ginger beard. I'm extremely frustrated because warranty ran out on my teeth and not even a year later all the teeth, I got done at this dentist office are now getting redone. thanks discovery dental for doing such an "amazing " job on my teeth. read more

Bummer! Trip to the dentist, palms sweat, stomach sick, panic time. Not sure who to go to. Hope the tooth fairy can help! Filling out, root canal, or what? Went to the computer, not knowing anyone here. Went to Discovery Dental in Washougal. Found out crown is loose and tooth decay. Best visit to the dentist I can remember. Employee's are great, dentist is very gentle and the surrounding are so peaceful. Getting fitted for a new crown. No putty in the mouth, all computerized and new crown (CNC) as I waited there. Fits well and on my way. Already have told my family and neighbors about this place. read more
